OK, but it is pretty weird how we got 3 episodes with Pokémon eggs in them in Journeys and more Pokémon eggs were show in that series than Kanto, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, or Alola. Alola only had 2 Pokémon egg episodes. This is a big reason why I can't take this complaint seriously. I don't think that they're telling people to go buy stuff in Pokemon Go just because they're using the same egg pattern. That's just such a weird leap, especially when Ash and and his don't have to worry about getting incubators, one of the true money makers of Pokemon Go. Aside from Riolu and recent two parter where a lot of Pokemon were reverted back to being eggs, has Journeys even featured a lot of Pokemon Eggs? It's hard to believe that they're really plugging in Go promotion that hard through eggs like you're implying. It is just making a mountain out of a molehill instead of a more understandable or legitimate problem. It comes off as trying to find an excuse to complain about Journeys some more or to find a new way to do that too.
Claiming that Journeys isn't canon or is set in a different universe just because of the eggs is so eye rolling to me. I guess none of the previous traveling companions returning or having even minor characters appearing means anything if eggs having different designs changes the very fabric of their universe. Saying that Journeys would be better off non-canon because of how you feel about its writing is also pretty ridiculous. If BW is canon, which is just like every other series in the anime, then Journeys is too. Making it non-canon wouldn't really change its writing quality regardless of how you feel about it, but the eggs having the Go pattern doesn't make it suddenly set in a different universe.
