Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
“What bad things?” Almost as if to answer her question, a jellyfish fell down from the ceiling. Jade looked up, to where the jellyfish fell from, and let out a gasp; some sort of creature was hanging from the ceiling by three tentacles! It was surrounded by electrified jellyfish, as a makeshift suit of armor. It aimed its three other tentacles at the two.
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
"I think a big fish ate part of the temple...and it has that thing living in it!" he said, pointing at the monster while stepping to one side, trying to avoid its aim.
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
A flash of lightning jumped from one tentacle to the spot where Big formerly stood. Jade took out her boomerang, and threw it at the first tentacle connecting Barinade to the ceiling. It severed the tentacle easily, and returned to Jade. The monster now hung uneven, and aimed another tentacle at Jade.
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
It shifted its aim to Big. Jade used this opportunity to throw her boomerang at another tentacle. With two tentacles severed, the weight of the monster was too much for the remaining tentacle, and it snapped, sending Barinade crashing to the ground. The electrified jellyfish that had previously occupied its body had been flung around the room in the landing; there were 10 in total.
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
The jellyfish were surprisingly weak, and were killed easily. Helping Big, Jade threw her boomerang, hitting 3 more jellyfish. After all, her bō was made of steel. Trying to hit any jellyfish with it, she knew, would only give her a nasty electrical shock. A beam of electricity now connected the remaining jellyfish to Barinade, and they started to swing around the monster in a circle.
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
Big was struck by an oncoming jellyfish, and it threw him toward the wall with its force, leaving him with an electrical shock. From this, it was easy to deduce the monster's defence mechanism was a lot stronger than it looked, and bypassing it would take more than head-on brute force.
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
Jade called, “Don't worry, Big! I got an idea!” She threw the boomerang at the monster's now-exposed body. The strike stunned the monster, and it released the jellyfish once more. Catching the boomerang, Jade commanded, “Big! Take care of the jellyfish! I'm going in!”
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
Bō in hand, she rushed towards the stunned monster and started to attack the vulnerable body, occasionally dodging shots of lightning and throwing her boomerang to stun Barinade again. Finally, after she struck the body one final time, it started to slowly swell. Jade hoped, Oh boy, I hope it's not gonna...
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
Big was promptly blasted with green goo from inside the monster, a portion of it inside his mouth, which he had neglected to close. He stood silently for a moment, stunned, then swallowed the substance, and grinned. Apparently, it tasted better than it looked- to him, at least.
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
Jade peered out from behind her feline shield. A blue circle of light appeared where Barinade formerly rested. Relieved, she stepped out beside Big. “Well, thanks, Big. You were real helpful.”
Re: EEA: The Jaded Journey *Me (That Guy) and Alex64*
As she stepped in, Jade was surrounded with blue light. When the light disappeared... “Man, who forgot to turn on the air conditioning?” She tugged at the collar of her vest. From what she was seeing, she was on a volcanic island.
