As the trailer today confirmed, we have reached the climax of this series. Its now likely that Pokemon Journeys will not continue into Gen IX. I wanted to create a general thread dedicated to your final predictions for the end of this series. So here, discuss what you think will ultimately happen in the last 7-9 months of this series.

Ash could make the top eight, but he loses to Leon or Cynthia, leading to another reset. Ash retires his entire team, then he and Pikachu leave for Paldea, leading to either the original badge quest or some other plot. Goh encounters Mew, but fails to catch them, and decides to leave Ash to continue his goal. Can't say whether he becomes a Chaser or not. Also, Grooky never goes through character development and remains the same troublemaker we all know and hate when Goh leaves the cast.

I also wouldn't be surprised if the reason why Chloe's Eevee cannot evolve is because she has Gigantamax Factor, which would be revealed anti-climatically in the last episode.

All 6 Vs. 6 battles, but Ash uses the Journeys team through the whole thing and Gengar and Sirfetch'd get no wins because Ash forgot how to use them.

Ash will go all regions including the new region on his own to catch some Pokémon that he haven't caught for a long time such as Trapinch, Poliwag, Magby, Dunsparce, Honedge, Houndour, Magnemite, Lunatone, Solrock, Bagon or any. And even challenge next quest.

Klang finally appearing in a regular episode. Which Generation VIII Pokemon (DLC/Hisui included) do you think will probably become the next Togetic/Klang?

Or maybe he just goes to the new region and catches Gen 9 Pokémon and ONLY Gen 9 Pokémon so that we can hopefully have a team that actually feels like a team.

My prediction for the departure episode is that Goh will qualify to become a Chaser in Project Mew,
but the organization will tell him that Ash won't be allowed to accompany him for backup anymore as only Chasers
have permission to hunt for Mew, forcing the boys to separate. While reluctant at first, Goh accepts the offer after
some reassurance from Ash.

After reflecting on Leon's advice from Episode 100 that there will always be strong opponents in the world,
Ash becomes motivated to embark on a new journey and travel to Gen 9's region.

After Journeys ends, Ash goes to the Gen 9 region where he finds a school for young trainers. He fights against a new trainer's Sprigatito and Pikachu loses after just one attack. After the match, the Prof of the region asks if Ash wants to enrol and he says yes, because the writers made Ash dumb and incompetent again.

The next episode we get basic-af information like picking Pokémon when you're 10 and learning to throw a Poké Ball.

In hope for a new series, Ash will go on his own like from M20, M21 and M23 without his companions did to catch some Pokémon that he didn't catch them for a long time like Goh did.

And what he's has to do?
  • Doing a next quest
  • Goal to become a Master
  • Going all the region and Gen 9 region catching all the Pokémon (Like Goh Did)
  • Doing a Project like Project Mew such as, Project Ho-Oh, Project Rayquaza, Project Mewtwo or Project Darkrai.

No, no, no.

Let's not have Ash turn into a Goh clone please. Just let Ash be Ash, not have him become even more stagnant as he already is with Journeys.

The staff has already turned Gou into Satoshi Nigou/#2.

Originally he was a lot different, now there are times when they act like a single being.

Regarding the end of this mess, whatever they do next is near impossible to be worst than Journeys.
Even if they reset Satoshi and make him act like a rookie again.

How many Generation VIII Pokemon are left to debut before one of them is either potentially given Togetic treatment or perhaps even the Klang treatment?

This is a huge pipe dream but:
After Ash beats Leon, Ash and Serena meet alone and Serena confesses her love to Ash, while Ash admits that he realizes he loves her too. They then kiss on the lips (which is shown on screen) but as they kiss it transitions to an older Ash and Serena getting married with all of their friends and Pokemon watching. The scene then turns to a kid with the three gen 9 starters/maybe Pikachu too with an adult Ash and Serena watching, revealing that the next protagonist is their kid.

Never gonna happen. Ash is basically the avatar of the series hence why they mostly mold him to match the game male. Plus Pokémon just isn’t that kind of series.

Ash beats Leon and becomes the World Champion. However, after realizng he has hit the plataue of the battling world, Ash wonders about how he can become a Pokémon Master. He wishes goodbye to all his friends who watched the battle (inclduing Serena, who he shares another brief kiss with), and heads to Mt. Silver, sporting a new outfit resembling that of Red.

Goh finds and catches Mew. However, he releaes it back into the wild, realising life is about the journey, not the destination. He decides to become a research assistant to Sonia in the Galar region, similar to Hop in the end of Sword and Shield.

Chloe sets out to become a Pokémon teacher, inspired by the ways her friends (Ash, Goh, Dawn, and Serena) taught her. She is recruited by Professor Kukui and starts her career as an assiatant at the Pokémon School on Melemele Island in Alola.

After various quick epiogue scenes for all the former companions, we are introudced to a young boy and his Pikachu, inspired after watching Ash's match on TV in the S/V region. Having just turned 10, he hopes to one day battle Ash and become the world's strongest trainer....

So do Ash and Serena get together?

If this was before SM, then yes. But after? I don't think it'll go that way, at least not in a tradition sense.

Leon states a question that would haunt both him and Ash: "Is there any challenge left after becoming the World Champion?"

Leon is like Ash and represents the future that Ash will have if he becomes Champion. For Leon, I think he wants to someone to beat him just to prove that he has room for improvement and be free from the pressure of being the best like no one ever was. That's the point of his character in the anime and game, to finally be dethroned and actually be treated as a person rather than a role model. And the only person worthy of doing that is Ash. But if Ash were to beat Leon, all that pressure will be transferred to him. And then Ash will long for the someone to beat him. Someone to be better than him.

I think Ash will beat Leon but then the show will Ash losing to someone to motivate to continue his journey. The question is... who should it be?

Personally, considering the passing the torch element hinted with Leon and Ash, it should ideally be a trainer that is younger than Ash, young enough to be Ash's student and protege.

The word "climax" is for the English version only.
There is even an option that even if the English "Journeys" ends, in Japan, Gen IX will be included in the region rotation.

But whether my predictions come true or not, I think at the end of Journeys we'll see this:
- Satoshi loses to Dande (at the moment, I don't see Satoshi winning this fight)
- In the final episode, Satoshi, Gou and Koharu visit Pokéspain to deliver something from Professor Sakuragi to Professor Gen IX. As they reach the region, Eevee Koharu suddenly evolves into a new eeveelution.
I also wouldn't be surprised if the reason why Chloe's Eevee cannot evolve is because she has Gigantamax Factor, which would be revealed anti-climatically in the last episode.
It could be so, but does it make sense to give him this form if Koharu decides not to be the trainer?

You have interesting ideas, but somehow I can't imagine Satoshi learning what he already can.
Better for a student from this school to join Satoshi and Koharu as a new travel companion.

Heh...do you remember already in previous Ash had school from Aloha Regions...?
