The First Starter You've Picked For Each Generation?

i never noticed before writing this that i guess i almost always pick the water/grass starters...

  • Gen V: Snivy (White), Oshawott (Black 2)
  • Gen VI: Chespin (Y)
  • Gen VII: Litten (Moon)

Haven't played any of the games since Moon, unfortunately. I know 100% what starters I would pick if I ever get the Gen VIII or Gen IX games (Scorbunny and Sprigatito) but since I don't have those games, I never picked them.
 
I just restarted LeafGreen after finally getting a light for my GBA (Worm Light ^^), picked the same starter as before.

gen 3 remains an interesting anomaly and picked torchic > treecko because at first i wasn't really sold on treecko's design. it grew on me over time and on subsequent playthroughs i've selected it (i think?), but initially, it was torchic.

Like Colors, one of the gens are an anomaly for me, probably because if I had to pick between a cat and a grass type, I will ALWAYS choose the cat lmao (still love rowlet though dw)
