You're not reading anything I say are you? What I'm saying is that even though she might not leave with Kenny in this episode, she might still decide to leave Ash to travel by herself in a later episode. Just because her fate isnt revealed in this episode doesn't mean that she's automatically staying for Isshu

Once again, you have to based things on what is available. The anime requires an external motivation to direct her to another journey. We already figured its not coming from Kenny, but Ash is mentioned, so he becomes the likely candidate.

It's too early to know what's gonna happen to Dawn after DP, we wont know if she stays or leaves until after the league most likely.

Yup, if they had Dawn vs Kenny, and there was no mention of this condition then I could see Dawn leaving with Kenny.

I don't get it. Why would Dawn leave with Kenny if she battled him? I'm not sure I'm understanding what you're saying here.

If Dawn leaves, I would think she'd go by herself. She doesn't have to leave with anybody. She has grown enough to not need other people's help. As said before, May is traveling alone in Johto. Dawn could do the same.

It's not the end of DP, we aren't going to know everything right now, so any assumptions you make at the moment are simply assumptions. Shit can come out of nowhere and change things up completely. Quit acting like Dawn has to stay because currently, with over 10 episodes left, she hasn't mentioned leaving Ash yet.

Everyone knows Barry's going to get bit on the head by Gible during the league, causing him to remember that he knows who Dawn is, and since they're childhood acquaintances they'll travel together in some region that isn't Isshu.

Not to mention some departures come out of nowhere.

Where the hell were Ambipom and Gliscor's releases foreshadowed? Oh right, they weren't.

Yes they were... what about all those episodes where Ambipom just craved to do ping pong, I mean Ash traded Ambipom to Dawn because he felt she could be of help to Dawn's ping pong dream... and all those episodes where Gliscor sucked and its patheticness needed more training than Ash could provide to make it an even remotely useful member of Ash's team, they clearly forshadowed both those releases. :p

Well half of it is sarcasm, half of it is Arceus' honest truth. I'll let you figure out which is which... Oh come on, I'm kidding... sorta...

Yeah, I remember those episodes too. And remember that episode where Dawn clearly said she wanted to stick with Ash forever and ever? I mean there are so many obvious hints that she is gonna stay with Ash. These people are only letting their bias against Dawn get into the way of what is clearly put in front of them!

It is obvious Dawn is staying and you're stupid if you think otherwise! :eek:hdear:

When did she "clearly" say that she wanted to stick with Ash forever and ever

Think about it, if they had Dawn vs Kenny with none of this "travel with me nonsense involved", then it would make a bit more sense to have Dawn follow Kenny. I mean at least with Dawn vs Kenny, and Dawn wins then the pity would make sense, lol. I just don't see them having Ash beat Kenny, and then Dawn travels with Kenny out of pity.

Just my two cents.

Also, I hate to bring her up, but Misty got absolutely no foreshadowing about leaving, and May got 1. It's never been this grand 50 episode foreshadowing regarding the girls, it's like 1 or 2 eps with 1 or 2 eps left in the generation. Hell, it looks like Dawn will get at least 2 or 3 eps about her leaving, if she does so.

Well, okay I guess, but I'm not sure if Dawn would make a major decision like that just because she felt sorry for him over losing a battle. I'd think it'd just be because she wanted to go with him regardless of the outcome, but whatever you say.

Also lol @ GreatLiver's post.

Honeslty, this convo is better suited for the DP 180 thread but w/e. Who knows why the "travel with me if I beat Ash" was thrown in there. Only the writers. Until we get a preview, and see the episode in two weeks NONE of us know how it is going to end. These characters are fictional they don't have to think logically like us. Ash is most likely going to win, and I doubt screw Kenny over in this episode. Dawn could possibly regonize him, and blah blah. The writers can bring it out of nowhere if they want to.

Yeah, I get what your saying. But why would she choice to travel with Kenny, when one of the show's key them is her and Ash's friendship?
