Why would Dawn's rivalries have to stay, what is the bases for that?

Because we must all hail Queen Hikari.

That's what the pokemon company has been saying from the start. Shouldn't they be winding her story down by now to make way for "BW girl"? Now she is at the center of things again, and after the League she still doesn't have time for a conclusion, unless...

They never started winding down Misty or May's story until right until the very end of their respective sagas.

Anyway, I wonder if Ash goes straight to Pallet this time? It would be cool if they actually changed it up this time.

For all we know, they could wait until the very last 5 minutes of the show and then all the sudden she gets a call "Hello? Mmhm. Mmhm. OH! OH WOW! I'm on my way!" ---- "Sorry Ash. *insert reason here*. Don't wait up. PEACE." And off to Isshu we go, and that permenant character becomes a 4-episode BW character.

EDIT. And that'd be cool if they just went straight to Isshu, or had minimal time in Pallet, considering we are having this big gathering episode anyway. I guess you could consider that the big gathering??? Idk I'm excited to just get to Isshu already...

They never started winding down Misty or May's story until right until the very end of their respective sagas.

Misty had no reason to follow Ash, as she really did nothing. All she needed was her bike, and goodbye.

May's story has her trying to get further away from Ash's influence, and developing a prominent rivalry/interaction with Drew.

Neither of those apply do Dawn. Also Dawn need a new goal. She will not accept Kenny's offer. That makes Ash the most likely candidate to provide her one (as he goes to Isshu).

*cough* I suggest you guys keep this in mind.

Alright guys, here's the deal. Like it or not, Kasumi does have a chance to return. However, ιɴsσмɴιαc is aboslutly right that this is not a thread only about her, so please keep talk of her to just a minimum. There's a lot to discuss in regards to the end of DP and the beginning of BW, and if you want to talk about Kasumi, there's a nice thread in the clubs section and a social group to do so in.

So again, keep talk of her to a minimum, and respect each other's opinions in regards to this matter.

Yes but there was no reason given for her to leave on the show until her sister's called and got her bike back.

May's story has her trying to get further away from Ash's influence, and developing a prominent rivalry/interaction with Drew.

This wasn't really happening until toward the end of the story and she finally realized what was happening. Regardless, of this Ash's influence on May still exists as seen in the Resort Restaurant episode and she used the fire and water combo.

Neither of those apply do Dawn. Also Dawn need a new goal. She will not accept Kenny's offer. That makes Ash the most likely candidate to provide her one (as he goes to Isshu).

They could be applying to Dawn in the next couple of months especially when we see what happens as she watches him compete in the League.

It's called, let's make room for a new character we have in mind to take Misty's place.

The story in AG provided many previous hints for that. Even if Ash helped her a bit, the overall emphasis was that she was starting to move away from him. Is Dawn moving away from Ash somehow? Instead, Kennyboy wants to rip her away from Ash.

They could be applying to Dawn in the next couple of months especially when we see what happens as she watches him compete in the League.

Could? There is no time with the League.

People keep saying High Touch doesn't mean anything, failing to realize its uniqueness and magnitude (being the most advertised song for the whole generation). Why would they make a song about two characters always needing each other to accomplish their goals?

They can just as easily do the same thing withtht next girl. Its not really that hard.

Instead, Kennyboy wants to rip her away from Ash.

Lol, you make it sound so serious. It's not really that big of deal.

I think what people need to realize is neither Misty or Dawn are as important as some claim them to be.

It's true Dawn got the most screentime of any of the girls, but the BW girl will get the same as her, essentially making it seem like Dawn isn't the only character to be like that.

Hmmm... let's make room for a new character we have in mind to take Dawn's Misty's place... Ahh headache, an idea is coming on, but I can't quite grasp it!!!!! Something to do with Dawn....

They can just as easily do the same thing withtht next girl. Its not really that hard.

WHAT!!!! NONSENSE!!!!

Lol, you make it sound so serious. It's not really that big of deal.

Yea, somebody watched too much Shakespeare. I think the cliffhangers from the summary caused too much exageration.

EDIT:
I think what people need to realize is neither Misty or Dawn are as important as some claim them to be.

Exactly. Both very important. Both very replaceable.

The funny thing is where is this Dawn fanboyism coming from?

All throughout DP I never saw people worshipping the character like now apparently. I guess because we're at the end of DP's run?

It's only to become total trolls. The same will happen next generation. Everybody will be like cool another girl. Then when we have 17 episodes left everybody will have a spaz attack and choose sides.

It's called, let's make room for a new character we have in mind to take Misty's place.

However as far as the plot was concerned there were no hints anything like that was happening. The writers may have known it for months but they didn't give a plot reason until the episode she left.

The story in AG provided many previous hints for that. Even if Ash helped her a bit, the overall emphasis was that she was starting to move away from him. Is Dawn moving away from Ash somehow? Instead, Kennyboy wants to rip her away from Ash.

The story showed just how much May was influenced by Ash and his battles throughout the whole series. She realized she needed to leave on her own after her second grand festival in order to develop a style uniquely her own. Dawn was never influenced by Ash as much as May was so she was far away from Ash stylistically from the beginning.

Could? There is no time with the League.

So what you are saying is that there won't be a single scene where Dawn interacts with Ash during the league.

I really hope they write Ash off, and give him closure at some point. Seeing him as a recurring Champion would be pretty damn nice.

People are gonna miss her pink miniskirt. She did tease the auidence alot with it.

But in all seriousness, who knows.

Sadly, some people are going to miss mostly that.

Don't worry, the BW girl has short shorts. We have a new fetish for the next arc.

Couldn't they also do that with Dawn
