Well since the games are coming out in Septemeber I have a feeling we'll see some still frame victories. Unless of course Ash battles all the rival featured in the OP. I guessing there could also be some 3 v 3 rounds like there were in the Indigo League with Nando, Conway, and a COTD. And 6 v 6 could be Barry, Paul, and Legendary.

My guess is we'll see one prelim match, but Ash Vs. those 4 will be the only full battles we see.

I think it'll be Ash vs Conway or Ash vs Nando first, then Paul vs Parry, then Ash vs Paul. They won't have Ash face all four of them.

4 full battles is alot of battling to be put in 8 episodes.

I think they should put two full battles to every three episodes. That way 4 full battles could fit into six episodes. Then lets say Ash does two preliminary battles which takes two episodes each and then we have a 2 month+ league with an extra full battle with a legendary.

I just hope the battles in this league are more along the lines of Ash vs Katie, and not the OHKO fest that was Ash/Gary.

There goes any hope of the league being 10 eps. Seems impossible now.

Hopefully they don't waste time on another pointless Pallet Town episode, and spend more time in the league.

It will most likely be 8 episodes long. Ash is probably getting to the finals, even though my gut is still telling me it will be Top 4. Pallet will probably be 1-2 eps, and then we start B/W.

Hopefully there will be some big changes in B/W, I shudder at the thought of Brock appearing again..

I still couldn't believe he returned for DP. I honestly thought Brock would leave when AG ended because he did nothing the entire arc....apparently seeing Brock do nothing for an entire second series (or third, if you count Johto) was even more pointless.

I don't know why BW has to start this September, I'm excited in all but let's finish up what was started 4 years ago so it can have a proper conclusion. This League should be 10 episodes.

The writers grow each saga, I'm sure if this League is rushed they'll get the next one right.

I hope they don't make Ash lose simply to get the League overwith, and finished so we can move on to BW. 4 or so years from now, we could be talking about BW being rushed as hell.

Ash deserves at least Top 4 this time around, and please no rushed still-screen matches, especially with reserves being used.

being used.

The reason it's starting in September is because the new series usually start around the time the games get realeased. They're not going to release the games mid September, and then start B/W in October.

Dawn'll get a rushed goodbye too, assuming she leaves. There's no time for her to get a full ep to herself.

Dear god...this.

I thought Brock was done after the Hoen saga too. If he doesn't leave now it will be overkill. I hope to see a 4 person group in B/W. Of course what I really want is a reboot, with new characters and Ash/Dawn as recurring rivals.

Technically Brock didn't do much in Johto either, but at the time it was nice to have him back as he was gone for Orange.

Now I regret that decision.

Brock's presence in Isshu will likely depend on what his new goal is. I wonder if will make him travel or if it will make him stay in one place making him unavailable for Isshu but be available for a cameo.

Let's hope he goes off with that chick from the Tag battle tourney, and not seen again until some various cameos. They need to retire his damn character.

Why? There is still maximum 13 eps. It's gonna be 6-7 eps like old times...

The League has to be at least 8 eps long. If it was only 6...it would be horribly rushed. If Dawn leaves she will most likely get a single episode dedicated to it. The episode before will probably be the last tag battle Ash/Dawn have togther against whoever.

Remember, it's not just the league. There has to be at least one ep to close out DP as a whole. We have some time yet unless the league is longer than we think it is.

Define "close out." Would this be Ash returning to Pallet ready to go to Isshu and after a closure episode for Dawn?
