Booting off Dawn after this saga would be like replacing Ash with the hero from Pokemon Gold/Silver in the start of Johto.
Seems like the only people who think Dawn's staying are of course the major Dawn fans.
Just because you're a fan of the character doesn't mean she has a better chance of staying than anyone else.
And it seems that the people who think Dawn is leaving have been consistently wrong on most of their predictions, which pushes people like me to the other side.
Well, a broken clock is right twice a day.

Unfortunately for you, The writers don't care how you feel. It sounds harsh but that's the reality. Dawn is likly leaving with Zoey or Kenny. Ash is going to the next region, and going to meet up with he new girl. Likely destorying her bike. History repeats itself.
Dawn's a DP heroine with a 4th gen Piplup. The next saga is the BW anime and there is a new heroine and new starters available.
On top of that based on history, it seems likely that we will have a cast swap.
And this is exactly the problem, DP has shown to be breaking trends for the last four years.
That is a basic assumption. As I said you fail to racionalize this specific sittuation. Its not about being more fan or not. Its about the evidence they let go, being the hints and the "push" we all saw.
Not in terms of advertising. This is why all the starters are on the main cast, why Lyra appeared for 5 episodes, and why DP got derailed by a bunch of HGSS episodes.
Every saga had a cast change. The only one that kept things exactly the same was the transition from Hoenn to Battle Frontier, and that's because it was the same series and still part of the same arc.
DP isn't getting a filler are like Hoenn did, so there will be a huge revamp.
The fact is that what you call hints may mean nothing to the writer's. I've seen some "hints" that dont mean anything but the person who wants Dawn to stay has interpreted it as proof. There's also some "hints" that haven't happened and people are still treating them as fact. The fact is Dawn might stay, she might not, so dont go around treating everything as fact saying the writer's want to keep her for marketability when it would be more marketable to get rid of her for a new girl that can advertise the new gen better.
Ok forget the hints. You can deny the "push" she had. Deying that its just like deying that José Mourinho isnt the best football trainer from the world. I hope you understand analogies.

Dawn just got treated like a co-star, what's the big deal?
No one is denying there will be a cast change, the question is wether Dawn will apart of that cast. Also, advertising is really easy to get around, you don't need to replace Dawn, or even Brock for that matter to market the new starters.
Ash and the main female always get the most screentime of any character in that saga. Even Misty used to get more screentime than Brock when they were on the show at the same time.
If Dawn stays, the next arc will feel like DP 2.0. Even if all the Pokemon are gone except Pikachu and Piplup, it'll still feel very similar to what we watched for 200 episodes.
A new saga brings in new kids and a revamp/reboot, most likely things will be shaken up. We're not going to sit through a repeat of the Ash/Dawn dynamic and more of the same, and I get the feeling Zoey/Kenny can never be gone as long as Dawn is around.

Another thing is that whatever excuse they make IF they dont age up Ash, it will be awkward to see a younger experienced Ash with an older rookie character. They'll have to have someone of Ash's age to counterpart. The main thing is things will be different so whatever way this comes out, it wont be the same thing that has happened before. Keep your mind open to that.
I know things won't always be the same. But it wouldn't exactly be awkward to see Ash, a trainer with lots of experience and an older beginner if they had the right situation on it. And besides what if the girl already is experienced and simply finds another quest than the one she has been competing in previously. For example, she could have already done the gym challenge and do really bad at the league and then discover contests and its where she truly excels.
