Well Mythicals suck anyway. We gotta be able to "Catch 'em all" and not have to rely on temporary online distributions. And besides, they made Deoxys catchable in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Well, if they don't want you to catch them, maybe they could be in that book with Manaphy in Celestic Town so players would only see a picture of them for the Dex.

Wrong location. The book with Manaphy is actually in Mr. Backlot's Mansion on Route 212, and only in Platinum.

Huh, why wasn't it the same location as the book with Dialga and Palkia that it replaced?
Likely they thought that Mr. Backlot's mansion would be a better place for the book to be. You would probably end up going there anyways, because his garden is the only place in the entire game where you can find the Pikachu line.

They’re keeping atleast some mythicals event exclusive for the sake of promotion (and potential movie sales if we get a Sinnoh related movie).

The top candidate for being catchable in DP Remakes like Deoxys is Darkrai imo.

It's likely they will use Arceus in a Delta Episode-like post game story, or at least more likely than Darkrai since Arceus is tied to the Creation trio.

We were supposed to get Arceus in Platinum but Masuda removed that at the last minute deeming it too complicated.

Maybe they can finally allow the Azure Flute to be used legitimately, since it's already in the data of the games.

I hope they actually explain why the lake guardians are connected to the creation trio. Its always bugged me over the fact that they never explain it. How on earth could knowledge, emotion, and willpower be the key to time and space, the things that create our universe?

And an explanation why Arceus changes type for the Z-Crystal.

Darkrai is worthy to have his own post game episode like Deoxys. Hell if you ask me he should’ve never been a mythical to begin with since he forms a duo with Cresselia.

Well, even if the Sinnoh mythicals couldn't be treated as mythical for the sake of the Pokédex, there's still the other region's mythicals: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Magearna, Marshadow, Zeroara, etc. to be distributed promotionally. And the Sinnoh Pokédex is the only Pokédex to exclude some Pokémon that region introduced. I mean, it's got to have every Sinnoh Pokémon, right? Platinum helped with including those evolutions, but there's still Heatran, Regigigas and Cresselia that are not Mythical but are still excluded from the Pokédex. The Sinnoh Pokédex would feel a lot more complete if you see Arceus at the end and you have no blanks and every Pokémon that Generation IV introduced are in it.

It's obviously better from a promotional standpoint to distribute Sinnoh mythicals for the Sinnoh Remakes.

They can still distribute the Sinnoh Mythicals if they are shiny or have a new move or if they trigger an event. Nintendo has distributed species that are already obtainable in the game like Pikachu. It may be better from a promotional standpoint to add a gimmick to these event Pokémon anyway. And maybe they could program an event to play out when you bring both the in-game Arceus and the "fateful encounter" Arceus together in your party at Spear Pillar and they create the opposite version Legendary that knows Judgment.

As long as they don't require players to use Pokemon Bank to bring Arceus from an older game to do it, then it could be a great idea.

The way Mythical Pokémon were handled in Gens 3 to 5 was perfect in my opinion. Part of what makes Mythical Pokémon special is that you usually have to go though some trouble to obtain and that they're only available for just a limited time. I think it's fun to go to store to receive one of those neat code cards or visit a Pokémon-related event with a local distribution. Instead of simply downloading the Pokémon directly from the internet, it gives a sense of accomplishment. If you combine that with a short quest in game, it makes for a memorable experience. That's why I hope that rather than changing the method of distribution of the Mythical Pokémon, interesting in-game missions will be added again.
