If the human characters were Pokémon, what would they be and why?

I'm going to guess that Ash would be a Pikachu, but that seems too obvious.

I'd say that Paul has an eerie resemblance to a lot of his pokemon.

So, really, any big bulky pokemon that has a high defense and a offense, with a perpetual scowl. (Electabuzz, Torterra, Aggron especially)

Anyway, I often thought Iris would be good as a Gothitelle, but Axew would probably be the more obvious choice.

Now to be on topic, May would be a Blaziken. I clearly see a resemblance between them. Notably, May's hair style compared to her fully evolved starter...
