Why would you make your Houndoom Adamant? It specializes in Special Attacks. Also, you'll have to replace Nidoqueen's Earth Power with Earthquake (if you didn't use the TM already).

Re: TAKE NOTE: All in-game teams go here.

Iunnon i told ya it needed work...Ill just get Tms, breed or use Battle Frontier

Re: TAKE NOTE: All in-game teams go here.

I would like some tips on my pokemon crystal team, I plan on using it for pokemon stadium round 2 so its not as hard as vs other players, but not as easy as ingame. Please note this is gen 2 only, and no 2 pokemon can hold the same item. For some reason dire hit cant be held either ingame, was planning on putting that on espeon, I hope for scope lens mystery gift now :p. Im at lvl 42 for all now, so most changes have to be tm, though I wouldnt mind re-lvling a pokemon.

Scizor lvl 51 @ metal coat
Steel wing
Wing attack
swords dance
counter

Espeon lvl 52 @ nothing
Psychic
Psych up
Morning sun
swift/return? dunno what to put here yet...

Raikou lvl 52 @ leftovers
Reflect
Rain dance
Thunder
Headbutt

Gengar lvl 51 @ focus band

Re: TAKE NOTE: All in-game teams go here.

Hello everyone,

I have just beat the elite four and struggled far more than I should have. I know I am under-leveled, but beyond that please comment on my overall team and their move-sets. I really am not looking to have the "OMG pwnzor best pokemon evvvaar" just something that I can enjoy the game with further.

Pokemon Platinum In-Game Team

Torterra Lvl. 50 / Ability: Over Grow / Nature: Bashful / Item: Big Root
- Leach Seed
- Wood Hammer
- Crunch
- Earthquake

Crobat Lvl. 50 / Ability: Inner Focus / Nature: Mild / Item: Amulet Coin
- Confuse Ray
- Toxic
- Sludge Bomb
- Fly

Gyarados Lvl. 50 / Ability: Intimidate / Nature: Brave / Item: Mystic Water
- Surf
- Waterfall
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Fang

Houndoom Lvl. 50 / Ability: Early Bird / Nature: Hasty / Item: Black Sunglasses
- Flamethrower
- Thunder Fang
- Dark Pulse
- Faint Attack

Espeon Lvl. 50 / Ability: Synchronize / Nature: Bashful / Item: Mind Plate
- Psychic
- Psywave
- Shadow Ball
- Bite

Garchomp Lvl. 50 / Ability: Sand Veil/ Nature: Relaxed / Item: Dragon Fang
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Strength
- Crunch

Thanks in advance. Feel free to comment on any apparent weaknesses. Also, please don't suggest legendaries. I had a tough time include a pseduo like garchomp into the team.

~ Aldin

***Update: I am a bit surprised. I took her on a second time and my Crobat at level 50 was able to take down three of her pokemon.
1) Garchomp: used confuse ray -> toxic -> restore -> fly -> restore -> fly = Dead Level 62 garchomp vs a level 50 crobat.
2) Roserade: fly -> 1HKO
3) Lucario: confuse ray -> Fly = Dead in two turns

Never knew a Crobat could be so effective.

Thanks. I wasn't doing well with the rest of the party against her Garchomp so I thought about throwing a toxic on it. When it didn't 1HKO me I wanted to see what Crobat could do. I was really lucky against Lucario. He hit himself two times while confused.

personally, i'd give Starmie Thunderbolt for coverage, make Aerodactyl hold either a dragon- or dark-boosting item, give Scizor a Muscle Band, and give Gengar Wise Glasses. As for Weavile, maybe Shadow Claw?

RMBTT (Rate my Battle Tower Team) Please ^^

Hi there. I have a pretty good team that got me to 42 wins and I'm afraid of losing so I wanna post here for some advice before I continue.

Metagross @Lum Berry
Adamant 252 HP/ 236 Atk/ 12 Def/ 8 Speed
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Bullet Punch

I don't really use Stealth Rock since it's only 3 pokemon. I'm thinking of putting an Occa Berry on this for one round - when I face Palmer the second time to help deal with Heatran.

Starmie @Expert Belt
Timid 252 Sp. Atk/ 252 Speed/ 6 HP
- Rapid Spin
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Surf

Rapid Spin is for nothing unless my opponent sets up. This thing has great coverage and has Expert Belt because Life Orb recoil is to risky; this thing is frail.

Infernape @Life Orb
Timid 252 Sp. Atk/ 252 Speed/ 6 HP
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Grass Knot

I only use Nasty Plot if I have the chance to. Great coverge, though very frail. Plus, accuracy is risky.

So, any tips? Also, would Starmie do better as a lead, or is Metagross better?

Any other advice is appreciated ^^
