After some discussion by the staff about making some new cool shiny threads, I've been okayed to make some threads about Japanese culture and that kinda thing!

So...what can you discuss here? We're doing this one of course, but also a Japanese music thread, and a thread about the world's cuisines!! So, this one is for basically, discussing Japanese movies, TV programs, video games, and VTubers, and things like that. Of course, if there are any lesserknown things you'd like to talk about, that's certainly OK!

Please try to use English when posting here! We have a separate thread for practicing/using Japanese, so check that out if you'd like tips on learning and some good conversations!!

Do you know the name of that show where the contestants bite into objects to see if they are candy or not? I'm not sure if this counts as pop culture
