This is a bit creepy, because in this thread, we talk about the nightmares we had. In my case, one of my nightmares was that I woke up late INSIDE my classroom. And heck, it was so frustrating..... Until I woke up.

I get dreams but rarely would I consider them nightmares. Most might have a little negative thing in them but they're not scary and the rest of the dream is usually pleasant.

My worst nightmare as a child, however, involved a sheep (apparently I was listening to some actual sheep which has run wild in the town)... but for some reason child!me thought the sheep was actually saying I'd die in 30 days from that dream. I didn't worry too much about it until the 30th day, where I just couldn't stop thinking about it and had trouble sleeping that night.

I thought nightmares were supposed to be "dreams that scare you"? Cause if so, I've never had one. I have had dreams that other people consider nightmares but I consider them free movies. I mean, just cause that dream might scare someone else doesn't mean anything. Lots of people are terrified watching horror movies and I just find them funny. Also, why would a dream where you're shooting zombies with Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil be scary? That dream was AMAZING.

One recurring nightmare I have is finding out I'm still in school and I have to repeat it due to failure. That, and facing heights. Those are terrible.

The worst nightmare I've ever had was where I was with my family in the kitchen. Everything was normal until somebody suddenly yelled "Get down!" and it ended with a bomb falling in my backyard and exploding. I woke up immediately in a cold sweat, completely shaken. It was the worst dream I've ever had and one I remember vividly despite me having that nightmare years ago.

my nightmares fall into two categories nowadays: bug/spider infestation and family members dying.

neither are pleasant, but at least the first one is easier to get over.

My nightmares terrify me even if it is obviously something stupid and cliche. I had a terrifying dream of alien invasions (the aliens looked exactly like the creatures from Ridley Scott's Aliens) and I was stranded somewhere when everyone else already evacuated, and I had nowhere to go D:

That's pretty much the reason I don't like horror movies or disaster movies because I almost always get nightmares after watching them.

I sometimes have this "nightmare" where I'm just coding something random, walk out of my home, something weird / disastrous happens, and when I check my code, I am missing a semicolon and when I add it, everything goes back to normal.

Average life of a programmer right there :p
