I click it and returnofMCH does come up. Weird...

Doesn't mean they get a notification, I'm afraid. I had a few mafia games where clicking on the mention brings up the user, but the user doesn't receive the mention.
Like I said, it's wonky.

For example: @Max1996. Bet you didn't get that notification.
