^ is looking for the kickass adobo recipe that her culinary professor failed to provide.

Perhaps, I may be able to shed some light on what you're looking for.
By any chance, would a Filipino recipe work?

^Doesn't eat bat honey,
whether it's on a biscuit
or falling through the air;
not with one of his friends
nor with Stephen Colbert.
^Doesn't eat bat honey
whether there's rain, snow, or sleet;
no bat honey in fog, smog, or blistering heat.

Sure. Is it spicy? :expect: His was.

^ Doesn't eat bat honey because it doesn't exist. Bat guano...now that's a different story.

Thanks. ^_^

^Likely hasn't tried to go over the sky (merely because the sky is there) by walking down the boulevard of broken dreams on a night of fire then, after walking all through the night to get to the otherside of the path of wind, trying to climb over a wonderwall

^ may tend to be a daydreamer. What of? Why, thats a wonder to be discerned by the corners of his mind.

I can provide that response via a new cooking thread!

Is it spicy?
Well, I can't say it's spicy but you may make it as spicy as you want via Tabasco, though I don't think it's the best way to do it if you want to save taste.

[I'm curious as to what he added. Maybe it was a hot pepper that I neglected to add.. well I don't normally add peppers though :/]

Maybe Tabasco, but I more often put Hot Salt in/on almost everything savory that I eat....

I wish I knew, but the only things I remember about it were that it was pork, that it was spicy and delicious, and that (I think) he made it from the pork team's leftovers.

Come to think of it, I keep vaguely remembering something. I don't know if it was his idea or if another teacher was enticing us with something else to go somewhere, but I seem to keep thinking that he said would give us the recipe if we went to a... gathering of some sort. I couldn't go for whatever reason (probably because they were serving alcohol and I was/am below the legal drinking age, or maybe the timing was inconvenient, or something). Anyone who did go either 1. didn't get the recipe or 2. did get it but wasn't one of the people I asked regarding it.

I've never had hot salt before. Or perhaps I've eaten some, yet was never able to pin it on my palette. I'm willing to go with something new as I really don't have much of a taste for Tabasco anyway since it has more vinegar than I can stand. [I do love their Chipotle flavored sauce though :drool:]

Pork... that's a common ingredient for adobo. Maybe their's was an already tenderized, marinated blend of seasoned meat that made for a good fry.

I neglected to add in my recipe that the longer you can marinade the chicken,
the better the results. I didn't actually add it since my mother is the one who
prepares it before hand, I just go straight to cooking.

Still though, spicy adobo eludes me, but I'd sure like to try some!
