^ wasn't occupied by a cute wittle beagle for the last few hours.
When I got back home, to my surprise, I heard a bit of yipping coming from somewhere. Turns out, we now have a beagle oO.
She appears to have a good nature and already listens to basic commands like sit and stay. Even though she's in a strange new environment, she's careful about how she explores. My sister said she received it from her friend who took her in as a 'stray' but because of her obedient nature we think she may have been previously owned then abandoned or lost. Whoever took care of her certainly kept her well fed, she's quite chubby, but we can't get her to eat much right now (she's probably still pretty nervous). I wonder if she was fed real food, partially explaining why she's a bit on the chubby side.. When I have time tomorrow, I can put up a picture of her.
Oh, and I forgot, her new name is Apple. >> Don't ask. I'm not the primary caretaker, so I don't do the naming around here. See pet birds: Peep and Popsicle
