I never really considered the etymology roots when picking the name. I just liked how it flowed at the time (that time now being oh so long ago) and went with it. But now I can see how one may associate the name with being more feminine. Go figure.Mmm... It's probably the name. (Rayne is a feminine name meaning "queen.") What I'm wondering is how I come across as masculine.
Hmm. Apparently, it's also a masculine name, but maybe most people are used to hearing it (and variations, such as Rayna) on girls.
It's back and forth. As I might have mentioned (I don't remember) she may be more receptive to 'Pikachu' due to treat calling. 'Apple' just seems more formal and something we use for guests in the house or perhaps it's grown on us. Plus it's easier to call out, even if she isn't really receptive to it yet.Unrenamed her?
