The Pokémon Company locks out security threats and foreign visitors: Pokémon Festa 2008 ...

In today's announcement of Pokémon Festa 2008 it was stated that the two events in Yokohama and Osaka will only be attendable by Pokémon Daisuki Club members who have signed up for the Pokémon Daisuki Club Card.

Well, I doubt they really intend to get rid of foreign visitors.
 
Opening it to club members only automatically excludes foreigners, doesn't it?

So...if this *is* in response to the previous threats, what exactly do they think would *happen*? The previous threats were *blackmail*, which doesn't usually denote violence, but rather more like "you do what we say and we won't go public with x information about you". And keeping it to registered people and doing bag checks aren't going to prevent that.
