"It's very peculiar." Professor Oak nodded, looking at the photographs spread on the table in front of him. Around him, many other Pokemon Professors were sharing hushed mumbles of agreement. Scientists, great minds, geniuses and many more of the world's brightest were all gahered around this table, looking at something which had never happened before. "I just don't understand how it's even possible. How can an island just... appear?" Professor Birch of the Hoenn Region said, picking up the photograph taken from a helicopter and studying it carefully. On the photo, there was the image of a tropical island with pearly white sands, lush palm trees, and towering at the center, an enormous volcano."Could it have per'aps fallen from the sky or something?" Professor Sycamore asked in a thick Kalosian accent. "What, like, dropped by aliens?" Professor Juniper from Unova asked in a worried tone. "That'd be, um, impossible. Someone'd have seen it, and the shockwave from being dropped in the sea, and, um... stuff." Professor Elm, the Johto Pokemon Professor scratched his head meekly. "How it got there is not important as of yet." Professor Rowan cleared his throat. "What is important right now is that we learn more about the island itself." The Sinnoh-born Professor paced around the table, observing the photos from all angles. "What we know at the moment is that where once there were open seas off the coast of the Orre region, there is now an island, approximately one 8th the size of the Kanto Region. Whether or not it is populated is completely unknown." "What do you suggest, Rowan?" Hastings, the inventor of the Capture Styler device asked. "I'm suggesting it's explored post-haste. I'm sure that if we can learn more about the island itself, we will be able to discover it's origin." "I don't think any of us will be able to take time out from our current schedules. The same goes for League officials and Gym Leaders." Oak mused. "Then we form a research team of aspiring Trainers who will be able to explore this mysterious island. If we get, say, 6 trainers, each with their own Pokemon, then I'm certain that they'll be able to explore the place in no time at all!" Juniper said, clapping her hands together. "Then it's settled. We'll get 6 trainers to explore the island, and give us reports on anything that they discover." Birch said, picking up his bag. Everyone else nodded and shook hands, saying their goodbyes as they left to go recruit the 6 trainers who would explore this strange island that appeared out of nowhere.

...Woo boy, it's been a while ^^; I'm Derry, I used to be a hella good Roleplayer back in the day. This is my attempt to get back and do a thing again. OK, so basically, in this RP you will be a a trainer, off to explore a spooky island that appeared outta nowhere in the middle of a sea next to a region that's not relevant anymore. There aren't many rules, but there are a few:

  1. Don't talk about Fight Club
  2. DON'T talk about Fight Club
  3. Let's avoid using the 7 words you're not allowed to use on TV, ok? Damn, Hell, Crap and all are good, but let's avoid the really bad words. You know, for the younger generation's sake.
  4. Speaking of younger generations, if for some weird reason you and another character decide to get it on like donkey kong and go all sexual, please do it somewhere where we won't have to look at it. That's sick bro
  5. Spoil anime on anyone here and I will poke a thing
  6. There's only 6 people going to be part of this RP at the one time- to prevent the plot moving too quickly. There's already me and a space reserved for a friend, so you guys need to get moving if you want to get with the last 4 spaces. As many people as you all like can join, but only 4 get in. If a character needs to drop out, I'll let another person join the RP, via a fabricated piece of plot thing.
  7. Drop the number 11037 in your sign up if you've read this.
  8. No legendaries allowed. No shinies either. Try to keep your Pokemon at max 9 foot tall, unless you can make it seem not OP sounding.

And without further ado, here's the character Sign Up Sheet!

SAMPLE SIGN UP
Name: Derry Littlewell
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Derry is lanky, about 5'11. He has scruffy, frizzy hazel hair, which flys out a bit at the sides. He wears thick horn rimmed glasses, which he is basically blind without. Has grey-blue eyes and pale skin. His smile is a bit wonky, and has a tendency to pull at his hair or put his right hand over his mouth when stressed or embarrassed. Usually wears an open blue shirt with rolled up sleeves over an orange t-shirt with white gloves and jeans.
Personality: Quirky and aloof does not even begin to describe it. Derry is prone to being "weird" and breathless non sequiturs are one of his favourite things in the world. He paces around a lot and often goes into breathless monologues which are difficult for others to comprehend, which they often don't. He's a big eater, often taking seconds even if he's full, and somehow manages to not gain weight from the colossal amount of food he takes in. Sometimes he can have a little too much pride, exhibiting perfectionism and sometimes delusions of grandeur, hiding things for his own benefit. Overall however, Derry is friendly and a leader type, even if he's not the most suited to the position.
Region of Birth: Veilstone City, Sinnoh.
Sexuality: Hetro
History: Derry grew up in Veilstone, after briefly trying to go on a Pokemon journey. Though he was average at battle, what fascinated Derry the most about Pokemon was their biology. He took up an apprenticeship with Professor Rowan, and has since then learned a lot about how Pokemon are able to use certain attacks. His dream is to follow in Rowan's footsteps and crack the code of Pokemon evolution. Upon hearing about the strange island incident, he begged the Professor to be allowed to go to it, in hopes of discovering new Pokemon.
Team:
Empoleon- Duke, Male. Torrent. Very proud of his battling skills, and often quick to get angry if anyone overachieves. Aside from that, rather Gentle and caring, especially to smaller, younger Pokemon. Knows Hydro Pump, Steel Wing, Drill Peck, Blizzard.

Alakazam- Casper, Male. Trace. Distant and Mysterious, often refuses to acknowledge Pokemon or other trainer's existence unless it is absolutely needed. Knows Phsycic, Kinesis, Focus Blast, Energy Ball.

Ampharos- Lantern, Female. Static. Lively and fun, is a complete contrast to Casper. Often hugs people without remembering the fact that her fur is ripe with static electricity. Knows Dragon Pulse, Confuse Ray, Thunderbolt and Light Screen.
Other: If he dies, he'll write 11037 on the wall in his blood just to screw with people. That's an insight into his personality.

That's all for now! Post your sign ups, I'll notify those accepted soon!

Name: Momo Sweetman (Not her real name, but it's the one she uses).
Age: 15
Gender: Cis Female (She/her/herself)

Appearance: Medium height, standing at around 5’5”/172cm. Slightly above average weight, but not noticeably so, just has a little extra chub than most. Caucasian, but slightly tanned. Flat-chested. Short, blonde hair that stops above her shoulders, but is longer at the front than at the back, and is very curly at the bottom. Large brownish-black eyes, thick eyebrows and slight scarring from acne, generally covered by her hair. Wears pink motorcycle boots, a pink ribbon in her hair, a pastel pink suspender skirt, black thigh highs, a protection mineral worn as a necklace around her neck, a cropped shirt with “Meow” on it, and a blue polka-dot jacket undone over the top. She’s also embarassingly large-hipped.

Personality: Fae has a strong sense of duty; which is both beneficial and troubling. Although she values “being there” and can be counted on in the worst of times, she also tends to let people walk all over her and take advantage of her, and will often remain silent and fail to defend herself in order to avoid conflict. She is often overly polite - her well-mannered behavior can lead to her getting herself in awkward situations, and some of her mannerisms (refusing to eat until someone else does etc) can be seen as strange or weird. She is more of a follower than a leader, however this can change when applied to something she really cares about; when someone is trying to change her opinion on something, she becomes headstrong, stubborn, ignorant and can come off as somewhat standoffish. However, she also fears drawing attention to herself and dislikes competition. She’s easily frightened and easily offended, very timid, and is also quite socially uncomfortable.

Easily hurt, prone to crying, and does not appreciate strangeness or abnormal behavior. She’s very traditional and dislikes change, and is often very prone to confusion and has man fears. Apart from that she’s modest, not confrontational, not spontaneous, apprehensive, dutiful, private, organised, responsible, guarded, avoidant, anxious, cautious, more interested in relationships and family than intellectual pursuits, and not adventurous. However, once you become close to her, she is generally quite cheerful and happy go lucky and very friendly. Has a bad habit of sugercoating things and couldn’t be blunt or rude if she tried. Very nervous and unsure of herself, and often second guesses herself or looks down on herself. She has a habit of blurting out her emotions all at once, and has bad control over them. Because she comes on so strong emotionally, especially with romantic pursuits, she can sometimes can come off as intimidating. Mostly introverted and likes spending time alone. Naive and gullible.

Region of Birth: Floaroma Town, Sinnoh
Sexuality: Biromantic Pansexual (mostly girls, but will date anyone if she becomes close enough with them)

History: Born in Floaroma Town in the Sinnoh region to a mediocre family of three, with one elder sister, a mother, and a father. She had a very average childhood; mostly she spent her time helping her mother and father with their florist business, watering flowers and feeding Pokemon and whatnot. When she turned ten years old she lived too far from the Professor’s lab to be given a traditional starter, so her family caught an Eevee for her instead, which she later evolved into a Leafeon. She only has two badged from the Sinnoh region - one from Roark and one from Gardenia - as she returned to Floaroma town once she had a Glameow and a Meowstic to try and help with her family business. She has a keen interest in different minerals, stones, and precious gems, so after a rumor came to her town about a new, previously undiscovered island, she decided to travel there in the hope of discovering knew types of minerals and gems.

Team: Leafeon (Eclair/Female/Leaf Blade + Dig + Aerial Ace + Energy ball) Very feminine, clumsy, naive, gullible, ditzy, and forgetful. Likes cute and sweet things.

Glameow (Angel/Female/Shadow Claw + Return + Thunderbolt + Attract) Very sassy, headstrong, stubborn, rude, conceited, and judgemental. Extremely stuck up, and has respect for pretty much no one but her trainer and herself.

Meowstic (Gwen/Female/Thunderbolt + Psychic + Magical Leaf + Covet) Quiet and reserved. A very placid personality.

Theme Song: Help I’m Alive - Metric

Other: Autism, GAD, and dyscaculia, has a hard time understanding maths and numbers, and uses her Meowstic to help her with number work, her main reason for having one. She has a hard time in social situations as well, and can sometimes have shutdowns where she finds herself unable to talk, so she uses her Leafeon as a calming device, using its aroma as a calming mechanism. Her Glameow is mainly used for battling, but also gives her a sense of security. She has a very strong relationship with all of them. Personality types include, ISFJ, lawful good, Virgo, and phlegmatic/sanguine. Very feminine. loves the colour pink, bows and ribbons and sweets, and she collects minerals and precious stones!

Name: Jackson (Jack) Banks
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Appearance: Jack is of average height for his age, standing at 5'10", and is well fit for a hardy lifestyle. He has a muscular build, but is notably a little on the thinner side, weighing 138 lbs, and his skin is fairly tanned. Jack's facial hair is slightly unkempt, the beginnings of a wispy beard covering the underside of his chin and jaw. His dark blond hair is styled into somewhat of a fauxhawk and he has large green eyes. As far as clothing goes, Jack dresses for comfort, while still being prepared for travel over different types of terrain. He wears a simple black tee under a red button-up jacket with white sleeves and a pair of fading jeans. On his feet, he prefers to wear brown hiking boots, significantly worn out from their overuse.

Personality: Jack is pretty outgoing, often not timid when meeting new people or starting conversations. However, he does not like when the attention is on him, especially in large groups. Jack is a bit arrogant, his major shortcoming being that he thinks he is smarter and knows better than most people. This leads him to sometimes disregard others' opinions he deems as useless. He is sometimes confrontational and has a reputation of being relentless in arguments, not letting up until his point is proven. Despite these few antagonistic traits, Jack is a generally kind person and always happy to lend a hand to a friend. He is adventurous, but a little anxious when approaching an unfamiliar experience. Jack encourages those around him to take chances, being that he has been known to take dangerous gambles and risks himself. When he screws up, he fights to be resilient, always wanting to spring back after a loss. Jack has a thinner Kalosian accent, but it is still noticeable in his speech.

Region of Birth: Lumiose City, Kalos

Sexuality: Hetrosexual

History: Growing up in one of the Kalos region's biggest cities, one might think Jack would have little contact with the wilderness. But he spent much of his childhood exploring the forests outside and playing with the various wild Pokemon that inhabited them. Jack was born to a family of two, never having any siblings. Due to this, he developed the ability to make friends easily and quickly became an extrovert when it came to people he didn't know. Jack's family owned a small café at which he often helped out, though they received only modest business. Realizing early on that her son grew an interest in Pokemon training, his mother signed him up for a local trainer school. Jack spent a lot of time during his pre-teen years studying and was eventually able to graduate at the top of his class, giving him a bigger ego than most children his age. When the Pokeball Emporium opened in Lumiose, Jack would take his allowance earned from waiting on tables at the family café and spend it on capture devices for wild Pokemon, enabling him to catch his current battle partners. He also began to watch tapes of famous trainer battles at the Pokemon League, his dream being to one day challenge the Elite 4 himself. Upon reading about the mysterious island in a Pokemon research journal, Jack became excited over the thought that Professor Sycamore could possibly send him because of his academic achievement at the trainer school.

Team:
Flygon (Tempest, Male. Levitate. Dragon Claw - Earthquake - Crunch - Rock Slide) Wears a red bandanna around its neck. Stays calm in the heat of battle. Sees things through to their end. Very strong-willed and loyal.

Politoed (Serenity, Female. Water Absorb. Hyper Voice - Hydro Pump - Ice Beam - Psychic) Apprehensive. Outright avoids conflict. Easily intimidated in battle.

Gallade (Katana, Male. Justified. Close Combat - Psycho Cut - Leaf Blade - Shadow Sneak) Enjoys spending time alone, especially away from its trainer. Often dozes off in thought. Distant and cynical. Doesn't always listen.

Sample of ability:
Jack's gaze fell upon the Fraxure standing at the edge of the dirt path, just in front of the tall grasses and foliage. His immediate reaction was for his hand to shoot to his belt and grip Serenity's Pokeball tightly in his fist. It was not common to see Fraxure outside, being that they normally reside in caves, especially at this time of day. Jack began to hastily flip through the pages in his field guide as the Axe Jaw Pokemon dug its foot into the ground causing a cloud of dirt to stir up and fill the air around it. He looked up to see his foe squaring off opposite him. He flipped Serenity's Pokeball up into his fingers in a single swift motion.

"Time for a battle, Serenity!" he called, tossing the orb high above his head.

In a flash of bright light, the Politoed appeared before him. "Toed!" she cried, happy to be out in the fresh air and morning sun.

"Alright, Serenity, no time to back out now! Ice Beam!"

Serenity leaped into the air as the Fraxure rushed forward, shaking its head wildly attempting to attack with its tusks. She landed behind her trainer and let out a deep bellow that sounded like a whimper. Jack shook his head in dismay. "Serenity, we're never going to be able to challenge the Pokemon League if you keep being afraid to battle."

The Politoed crossed her arms across her chest and let out another whimper. "Toed!"

"Guess we have some training to do." Jack sighed, returning Serenity to her Pokeball.

Ok, approved! We need a few more players, so hopefully we'll get more soon.

Name: Michael Tenor
Age: 17
Gender: male
Apearence: Michael has light brown straight hair that sticks up slightly at the front. His top is yellow with a grey backpack. He has silver
eyes. He has pale tannish skin and a birthmark of a dot on his cheek.
Personality: Michael is really sarcastic. He likes to mock others who make fun of him. He is really easy-going, and once you get to know him, he can be as nice as can be.
Reigon of birth: Hearthome city, Sinnoh.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
History: Growing up in Hearthome city, Michael was always interested in Pokémon Contests. Everyday, after school he would visit the contest hall and watch coordinators practice with their Pokemon. One day, while watching a contest, Michael was surprised by a pokeball given to him from the head of conests. After that, he and shinx became best friends. People describe him as the monster in town because when he was young, he was nursing a bonsly. The bonsly was scared of Michael, and for some strange reason, not all the other kids. His father is the leader of the sunnyshore city gym. Even though he loves contests, he wants to compete in the Sinnoh league. So, Michael does earn gym badges AND contest ribbons.
Team: Luxray(Shock)-
was Michaels first Pokemon he had ever gotten. Luxray can be very over confident, and he loves to eat. Luxray is also social.(Shock\male\electric plate\thunder fang\crunch\wild charge\iron tail)
Ability: Rivalry
Typhlosion(Flare)-
can be a little bit of a coward when it comes to battling. Typhlosion occasionaly creeeps up on Michael and tackles him to the ground. (Flare\blaze\male\flamethrower\eruption/bulk up\swift)
Togekiss(Saturn)-
is very graceful with her moves and body movements. She would love to fly smaller Pokemon on her back. (serene Grace\female\aura sphere, sky attack, safeguard, draining kiss.
theme song: battle cry-Stand up!
Sample of ability: "Okay guys come on out!" yelped a trainer while throwing the orbs into the sky. With a flash of light, appeared a Luxray, Typhlosion, and a Togekiss. "Alright guys, help me out with something!" chuckled Michael Tenor, a trainer from the Sinnoh reigon. "Saturn, go fly up as find as many berries as you can. And Flare, gather alot of small rocks. Um, oh of course! Shock, go use crunch on the rocks that Flare got, and form them in a sphere shape!" as the Pokemon left in different ways, Michael built a fire. After a couple minutes of preparation of rocks from Flare, all three Pokemon found themselves in a cage. Its been about 15 minutes since Michael saw his Pokemon, and started to get worried. So he took out the flame, and set his destination to find his Pokemon.
"These Pokemon are pretty tough!" said what seems like a woman with cerulean blue hair. "I noticed." said a man with a similar hair style. Soon enough, Shock started attacking the cage with his crunch attack.Saturn and Flare however called for their trainer. Finally, Flare decided to use his eruption attack, which damages the entire area. The Pokemon were free, and all started to run\fly away. "Danmit!" the two grunts exclaimed. As the Pokemon reunited with their trainer, their journey continues. (see how I used the anime as a reference?)

Alright, read it over! I'll get back to you with judgement asap, we just need one or two more Sign Ups.

Can I reserve a spot? I think I'll be able to post my sign-up sheet this evening or tomorrow (UTC+1).

Name: Noah ZALE
Age: 23
Gender: Male

Appearance: Noah is a young man, and he looks like a young man. His face is almost always fresh, confident, and beautiful. Not the "Californian Surfer beautiful", more some sort of the "cute-beautiful", the realistic good-looking guy, not the blockbuster "handsome" hunk. And anyway, he is not really handsome. Just, beautiful, lean and far to be an amateur about flirt.
Anyway! Noah is a young man, standing at 1m77 (5'9"), with half-long light golden brown curtained hair (maybe a bit longer than literally half-long), with few quiffs on the forehead. This is maybe the most "hot" thing in him (hot as the opposite of cold, not as the sexual adjective). Indeed, he has two grey eyes, a white skin only lightly tanned, and very pale lips. Those kinds of lips which are light-pink colored (sometimes, not colored at all), not because of any lipstick, just because there is not enough blood in it.
Noah usually wears T-shirts, sleeveless sweaters and a brown jacket full of pockets. He wears jeans or pants, the choice being random because he takes the first thing that happens to be catchable by one of his hands. When the weather is hot, of course, he wears cooler clothes, such as shorts and open shirts.

Personality: Noah isn't shy, but he's not outgoing. He can talk very easily when he's confident, but he often needs some time to decide whether he trusts someone or not. There is only one exception to this rule: flirting. When he tries to seduce a man, he doesn't need any "confidence rule".
One could say, seeing his face, "That guy is always happy". He wouldn't be totally right. If Zale often looks very happy, and if he's a very optimistic man, he always has something in his mind, something scratching his brain. One day he's stressed because he thinks he forgot something in his flat, another day he worries about unpaid taxes he actually paid... It's not very disturbing in itself because he uses to live with it, but if another stress is added to this one, he could loose self-control very easily.
Noah Zale is also very "sensitive", in a way, because he really cares about other people, especially when they are hurt or in a bad situation. Thereby, he is a really good friend, happy and kind. As a lover, he doesn't want and, logically, doesn't impose, "exclusive relationships". He doesn't need to know where his companion is, what he's doing, who he's talking to...etc. Even with friends, he's not very possessive.
He is very curious, especially about Pokémons and cultures, and because he used to study and heal Pokémons, he developed an analytic mind, sometimes too much logical. It helps him in Pokémon Battle, of course, but in real life it can be awkward. Hopefully, when it comes to powerful emotions, such as love, friendship or solace, he acts only with his heart.
Basically, we can say Noah Zale is a sweet man hiding his true behavior behind a "cool and good student" conduct.

Region of Birth: Noah was born in Fortree City, Hoenn.

Sexuality: Homosexual

History: Since Noah grew up in Fortree City, one might think he's some sort of a countryside man, a bit angry with technology and maybe less educated than a city dweller. But the young Zale was a very good schoolboy, even if he left school at 15 to become a nurse in Fortree's Pokémon Center. Since he was able to understand Pokémons, he has always been interested in them, their lifestyle, their biology, their behavior... And because he preferred practice to theory, he didn't want to apply for a Pokémon Academy (another reason was the modest condition of his family, with a younger brother and a younger sister to feed, and parents without any diploma).

During 3 years, he learned everything about the most common Pokémons of Hoenn, especially about their biology and behaviors. But his curiosity about the less common ones was strong, and this curiosity wasn't a secret to anybody in the Pokémon Center. Thereby, the day he became 16, he was offered a Pokédex and a Treecko by Professor Joloston, the professor of Fortree's Pokémon Center. He didn't leave his job, but he decided to start catching Pokémons on Route 120 and Route 121. Because he wanted to become assistant of a Professor (a Pokémon Center professor, not a regional Professor, of course), he was sent in other city to do internship in different Pokémon Centers (and he used his travels to see and to try catching more and more Pokémons). When he was 20, he finally became one of Mossdeep Professor's assistant, when he was 20. In Mossdeep, he discovered his passion for Water Pokémons, and learn a lot about them.
Two years later, he was proposed to move from Hoenn to Johto, Olivine City Pokémon Center needing staff. He accepted, and discovered more and more Pokémons, and, eventually, he decided to collect Johto's Badges. He never really planned to reach Indigo Plateau, but it was a good way to keep his own Pokémons healthy and combative. When he heard about the "Strange Island", he was 23 and had collected 3 Johto badges and 2 Hoenn's (from the time he lived in his born region).

Team:

- Grovyle ♂ (nicknamed Léonardo)
Ability: Overgrow
Personnality: Always stays calm in the battle, but can totally attack another Pokémon if he feels insulted (it wouldn't be an angry reaction, more a duty of honor and pride). He is very loyal to his trainer. He acts as the head of Noah Zale team, and is respected by the other Pokémons composing it.
Moves: Leaf Blade | Giga Drain | Flash | Toxic

- Buizel ♂ (nicknamed Joe)
Ability: Swift Swim
Personnality: Buizel is a very childish and cheerful Pokémon. He often wants to play games or to swim with his trainers or with other Pokémons. If he's scared by something (and he can be easily scared), he tries to stay brave, and will run away only if he thinks he doesn't have any other choice.
Moves: Strength | Swift | Scald | Aqua Tail

- Walrein ♂ (nicknamed Gaspard)
Ability: Thick Fat
Personnality: Gaspard is often cheerful, happy and "smiling". But when it comes to important or dangerous situations, he becomes more serious. He is, in a way, the "wise grandfather" of all the Pokémons of the team, except Grovyle.
Moves: Aurora Beam | Ice Ball | Surf | Frost Breath

Sample of ability:

Drinking a hot tea at 7:00pm is supposed to be a calm experience. Something you can enjoy. And Noah Zale actually enjoyed it. On Olivine's beach, he was able to drink his hot tea, awaking him (in order to survive the long night of job waiting for him) and to have a beautiful view on the sea, this big thing which eventually made his passion and always made his born region.
One day, while the night was falling, he heard a strange noise. Very hoarse. A noise only a Pokémon can make. Only one, actually. Only one Pokémon could possibly make that noise, and Zale was absolutely sure, because he knew this Pokémon perfectly.

*What the...!*

"Hey, litt'le Poké, wha' ya' name?"

Noah's just heard the voice of a little kid. A little boy, to be exact. And it was NOT a good thing, especially because the Pokémon and the kid seemed to be in the same place. And the Pokémon happened to be a Mawile.

"No no no no no no no no no no!" Noah shouted

He let his cup fall on the table, and ran away from the Café where he was drinking. The noise came from the beach, in his right. He crossed the wood platform of the Café, jumped on the beach, and stopped immediately on the sand. He had to analyze the situation.
In front of him, there was all this sand, and the sea was in the left. The kid was on his right, 100m away. In front of this boy stood a Mawile. Of course, he was only showing his kind and sweet face to the child.

"Hey, you! Stay away from the Pokémon!! It's dangerous!"

The kid turned his face to look at Noah, but he didn't listen to the trainer and walked in the direction of the Pokémon.

*Why do children NEVER listen to me??*

The young trainer ran in the direction of the Mawile and launched a Pokéball on the sand. A few seconds later, a Buizel appeared. Noah didn't mean to use it. His water Pokémon was only here in case of "emergency", if the kid wouldn't listen.

"Hey, you, what's ya name?" he asked the boy.
"Tommy..."
"OK, Tommy. This... is a Pokémon. A dangerous Pokémon for little children like you. Ya understand?"
"Na, he's'n't dangerous. Look, he's cute!"
"No, he LOOKS cute, and even if he's cute, cute people can hurt a lot, believe me."
"But he's'n't people, he's a Poky!" shouted Tommy.

The Hoenn's trainer sighed, then addressed his Buizel.

"Joe, try to make friends with this Mawile, and when he will try to bite you... Well, defend yourself as well as you can."

The little boy started to laugh, thinking Zale was a stupid man and that his Pokémon would just become a friend of the "Mawile". Basically, he couldn't even think he could be wrong.
The Buizel started to walk to the Steel Pokémon, and tried to touch him, but he didn't even have the time. Indeed, the Mawile turned his head in less than a second and tried to bite the Sea Weasel Pokémon, but he failed, because his victim was aware of the danger and jumped. The Buizel then launch a brutal and hot water beam, using Scald, pushing far away the wild creature.

There were a few seconds of silence. The little Tommy stopped laughing, looking at the place where the Mawile was a few seconds ago, then he started to cry, making a lot of noise, and moving his arms up and down without any logic. His eyes were closed, but he felt someone just knelt in front of him. Noah took him in his arms, and tried to comfort the frightened child, repeating
"It's all fine, all fine...".

Theme Song: Maya Fey ~ Turnabout Sisters' Theme 2001 - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

Other: His Pokénav phone number and his Pokégear phone number are the same (654-11037-12). Indeed, he "knows" someone in the Silph Co who was in charge of all the phone number stuff.

@Adan Flyber; Read an approved! I'm looking forward to hearing more from you!
Once we have the the sign ups that were asked to be reserved, I'll let everyone know who the 4 player's who've got through to the roleplay itself and get the start up going!

Name: Sigrid Noel Argentum

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance: Sigrid has hazel eyes, light freckles and short, unruly honey blonde hair. He wears two bands on his right arm, black gloves, a light blue, sleeved basketball jersey with the number 26 and a sleeveless black pullover hoodie with a Snowpoint Gym Badge logo embroidered on the right chest. He wears black pants and yellow basketball shoes with black soles.

Personality: A rebellious mood maker, Sigrid looks on the world and sees adventure. Life is a chance to experience many things and for Sigrid, there is no more worthwhile endeavor than to enjoy life by the adventure it offers. Experiences are what life is about, and to appreciate the full range of life's experiences, he lives by emotion. What makes one laugh, what makes one cry, what one hates and what one love is what makes up a person and therefore he is very expressive of his feelings.

Sigrid truly prizes freedom. To live life his way - passionately and imminently - he often act on his impulses, doing what he feels each moment without delay. He doesn't want to be censored or controlled, because when his passions are shackled from action, he cannot be who he is. Whenever Sigrid is around, those who dare to speak of rules and limits will meet a furious ultimatum to shut up. All of these things often gets Sigrid into trouble, which he seems to not really care about.

As an adventurer, Sigrid is always looking to grow either physically, mentally or spiritually. Any new ideas, as so long as they don't involve law or order, are eagerly and recklessly examined and adopted. Sigrid himself is never the same, yet his goal is always the same; To beat you and have fun while doing it.

His rough and rebellious persona hides a sensitive, sweet and protective side he has. He rarely shows this side of him to the world because he don't want to get too attached to someone, out of fear of them leaving him behind, like Irene did when they were a child.

Region of Birth: Snowpoint City, 25 December, Sinnoh.

Sexuality: Heterosexual

History: Sigrid grew up in an orphanage that belonged to a local church in Snowpoint City and, despite the presence of other kids his age, he was the most brave and dependable amongst the others and a lot called him "big bro".

One day, his closest friend in the orphanage, Irene, got adopted into a wealthy family in Johto and she didn't get to say goodbye. Sigrid assumed she had abandoned him and he developed a defense mechanism that eventually made him a very rebellious and short tempered boy who wished to go through life without depending on anyone. Though he still retains his adventurous and upbeat nature he had as a child, he is more difficult to approach now.

On his twelfth birthday, Sigrid was given a newly hatched Cranidos from the matron in the orphanage. A bond formed between the two and they became attached to each others. As the days passed by, Sigrid and his Cranidos grew stronger. The Gym Leader of Snowpoint City, Candice, was Sigrid's favorite sparring partner (though Sigrid usually lost the match).

When the new island was discovered, Candice, as a gym leader was of course asked to explore the island. However, she was busy reconstructing her gym and asked Sigrid to go in her place instead. She introduced Sigrid to Prof Rowan and the Pokemon Professor agreed to send the boy in Candice's place.

Team: -. Male Rampardos named Escrad. Escrad is the other half of Sigrid. They have been friends for years and understand each other perfectly. Escrad and Sigrid hates thinking and prefers to crush his enemy in one big attack right in the face. This spells trouble for them because if the attack missed, they're often wide open for counter attacks or recoil damage. Knows Head Smash, Protect, Iron Head and Zen Headbutt. His ability is Mold Breaker.

-. Female Milotic named Nimue. If it isn't for her, Sigrid and Escrad wouldn't have gotten this far. She saved Sigrid from drowning once before he learned how to swim. Her calm and motherly demeanor usually calmed Sigrid down and stopped him from making rash decisions. She was given to Sigrid from his matron before he left so she could protect him. She knows Surf, Ice Beam, Aqua Ring and Dragon Pulse. She has Marvel Scale as an ability.

-. Male Arbok named Mordred. From all of Sigrid's Pokemon friends, Mordred is the most dangerous and cunning, with venom dripping fangs and menacing pattern on his chest. He loves to battle and gets along with Sigrid well, but hates Nimue with a passion. Knows Ice Fang, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain, and Dark Pulse. Has Intimidate as an ability.

Theme Song: Blinded by Light - Masashi Hamauzu

Other: Sigrid has no sense of direction and often get lost in big cities. Hates computer and loves nature with all his heart. Has an insanely huge crush on Candice the gym leader since he was young but never had the guts to say it.

RP Sample:
An hour later, after Sigrid changed from his usual basketball jersey to a simple t-shirt, Sigrid hurried to the church just few blocks away from his orphanage.
It was not a large church, but it was beautiful. It was a miniature version of the church in larger cities, but still, it feels very comfortable. The chalice was finely wrought of silver and the benches had comfortable paddings, so he is quite grateful for the church, even though it's not big.

He realized as he entered quietly that he was the last, and winced as he recalled that Professor Rowan and some of his aides were visiting Snowpoint. In addition to them and the regular attendees, Candice the gym leader was also present, though she looked less happy than Sigrid to be here. Sigrid walked awkwardly and bumped into one of the benches.

Sister Guinevere, still a beauty in her early fifties, turned at the sound, smiling affectionately at the orphan. Candice on the other hand, shot him a scowl. Evidently, word of his misdeeds had gotten out or she was just angry at him for being late. Sigrid slouched down onto one of the bench and followed the procession quietly.

"Sigrid. A word please." Came a gruff voice. Sigrid turned to see the Pokemon Professor peering at him just as he was trying to leave the church unnoticed after the service.
"Of course sir." Sigrid said, his heart sinking. Rowan probably wanted to scold him again for getting into fights with fellow trainers in town or for being late... or maybe because he just broke the Poketch The Professor gave before he will be sent to explore the island...
"Young man," he said, "I'll get straight to the point. Your fighting strategy and temper control is terrible."
Sigrid felt the blood rush to his face. "Yeah I know. You said that like, I dunno, three times already? No one can teach me to battle properly. Candice is busy. I can't teach myself, can I?"

The Professor's response is only a short laugh and a pat on the young man's shoulder. "I don't need skilled trainers. What I need is someone that loves adventures. Someone that loves to discover new things and explore. Someone like you, boy."
"Seriously?" Sigrid's eyes widened in disbelief. "You're not mad because I broke the Poketch you gave me and you're still sending me to the island?!"
"Precisely."
"I love you, old man!!!" Sigrid laughed, flinging his arms around Prof Rowan's shoulder "thank you! Ain't no way I'm letting you down!"
"Ahem!" Prof Rowan pushed the young man a bit, fighting back a giggle. "Get ready. You're leaving tomorrow morning!"

@Selenium; Great Sign Up! Once all the other reserved Sign Ups are filled in I'll post the roleplay and we can get started.

Thank you, looking forward to RP with you.
Oh, and I think the user InShinxWeTrust had edited his post.

Alright, read over it! Once Flaze signs up I'll review everyone and choose the final 6 roleplayers. If he does not get a sign up in by the end of the week, then I'll do so regardless. Just a reminder, just because you don't get in first try doesn't mean you won't get to play- if somebody else drops out, then you may be called in to replace them.

UPDATE- Okay, because exactly six people have signed up, everyone gets through yay! I'll post the start up eventually.
