Big doubles over and empties his stomach on to ground as he just feels... wrong. Memories that are both his but not his flood into his mind. A path he took, but didn’t take. A journey he was on but also never took part of. Friends he made, different versions of the same Pokémon he’s encountered and gathered, tournaments won, badges earned. All culminating in a promise made a dark bargain to rewrite time and save those closest to him. Or was that a lie he told himself and he made out of desperation to not lose? But either way the deal was struck and seems to be unfulfilled, and now the responsibility is on this Big’s shoulders. He hears the angry red words in between his ears. You cannot escape us or your debt. and a cooler sadder, blue voice: They have also been drawn into this world. You must find them still.Bɪɢ
It appears you're a laughing stock, now, and that makes you understandably cranky. Head throbbing from what might be described as a superhuman case of motion sickness, you bark out orders to your companions. It takes a moment for them to regain their composure, but eventually they right themselves. Mysteria, having four limbs with which to pull herself off the ground, is the first to strike, and Pachirisu is still laughing, right up until the moment that a giant orb of ghostly energy beans it right in the head. It goes reeling, knocked clean off of its geological perch and into the grass. By the time Alucard has taken flight again, little wings beating the air for all they're worth, the rodent has righted itself and begun to shake off the ectoplasm, paws furiously scraping at its own head. The sound of moving air causes it to look up, and it shrieks as it finds the eyeless face and gaping mouth of your Zubat meer inches from its own snout. It makes a mad scramble to put some distance between itself and the poison type, but a shrill noise cuts through the night, courtesy of Alucard, and forces the Pachirisu to stop in its tracks, curling up in a ball to try and shield its sensitive ears from the acoustic onslaught. It seems overwhelmed, thrashing about in mild confusion. It begins to throw off sparks to protect itself, and as they rain down on Alucard the fly-type seems to be especially hard-hit by the damage. His flight grows even more erratic than usual, and then he drops to the ground, twitching. When he doesn't right himself after a moment, you realize that he might be paralyzed by the electricity-induced muscle contractions.
The Pachirisu doesn't appear to have expected to fight, and it isn't posing much of a threat. Alucard seems to have taken a single bad hit, however, and may not be up for combat. You still have Mysteria, perfectly unscathed, in your corner however.
What will you do?
And suddenly Big snaps back to the present moment against the Pachirisu, his headache gone but replaced by a feeling of dread down his spine. “What the fu...” He groans as he tries to process an additional lifetime full of memories. There’s a decent amount of overlap but two wildly different ways his Pokémon journey could have gone. But as he gathers himself there’s a menacing laughter behind him, menacing, but also oddly comforting? He turns and sees his Zubat Alucard taking in nearby shadows to form an Aura around him as his chuckles turn into cackles. “Man. Multiverses are a bitch huh?” The zubat grins, the paralysis seemingly dissipated and with a particularly strong flap of his wings sends the aura as a wicked blade of air, blasting the offending squirrel Pokémon into the trees and away. “Oh ho yeah. That’s more like it.” Alucard lands on Big’s arm. “Now let’s get the hell out of here. You’re gonna need a drink after that one. And I should know.” The zubat’s fangs glint in the darkness as he chuckles again.
(OOC: finishing up claiming my Silver Umbra and making my Zubat into a Shadow Zubat)
