The sheer number of Galar Pokemon who haven't appeared in the anime

So, the masters 8 only has one Galar trainer and at least half of them will showcase 2 Pokemon maximum besides their ace (as Round 1 is 3vs3, and their aces are almost confirmed to appear going by that poster), making things very hard for the remaining Galar Pokemon. It depends on the writers and whether they want to change the in-game teams. If they do, then I think the following could have a chance, I'm including Pokemon that also only had small cameos:

  • Leon: Mr. Rime, Rillaboom, Dubwool, Dracozolt.
  • Iris/Lance: Flapple, Appletun, Hisuian Goodra.
  • Steven: Coalossal, Perrserker, Stonjouner.
  • Diantha: Polteagist, Eldegoss, Frossmoth, Hisuian Liligant.
  • Cynthia: Sneasler, Ursaluna, Hisuian Arcanine, Runerigus, Hisuian Braviary.
  • Alain: Corviknight, Orbeetle, Toxtricity, Obstagoon, Kleavor, Hisuian Samurott, Hisuian Zoroark.

It's kind of a shame that they didn't feature more Hisuian forms in the Legends Arceus special. Time travel isn't the only way for them to feature these forms. They could easily just discover them in a remote area of Sinnoh or make them extremely rare. The anime has featured fossil Pokemon living in the modern world plenty of times, so this wouldn't be a stretch.

I really wish they did a full Galar adventure. Galar is the only region from the main series games that didn't have a whole anime series dedicated to it, being sidelined as one of eight regions Ash and Goh would occasionally take field trips to in Journeys. There is no arc where Ash battles Nessa for her badge, so that's very disappointing.
