I'm going to assume since you posted all of that unsolicited that you want to talk about it. 
This can be said of all three of your examples, but I think this one is the best fit: I've seen this more often as an example of poor/lazy cop-play than intentionally softclaiming. Rather than build an actual case, they'll claim a gut-tell or, "there's just something off about that one thing they said... can't put my finger on it. Must be scum," etc. Of course you're right that more often than not they succeed in tipping the Mafia off to their role without the Town figuring it out (or following their weak lead), I just think it's more because some players feel getting the Cop role is a license to be lazy and stop scumhunting than because they actually thought softclaiming was a good idea.Cop with a guilty: "Phoenicks has to be mafia, I'm 100% sure and I'm not explaining why."
