タコヤキのお好み焼きピザレシピ (takoyaki's okonomiyaki pizza recipe)

What you'll need (other than a pizza pan and a pot!):

  • Oil (I think any is okay? I tend to use toasted sesame oil)
  • Pizza dough (of some kind, I just use store-bought fresh dough)
  • Yakisoba noodles (around 3 servings is in a usual pack, so do all 3!!)
  • Yakisoba sauce (ingredients for that are below, if you'd rather not buy some on your own)↓
    • 4 tbsp (tablespoons) of Worcestershire sauce
    • 4 tsp (teaspoons) of teriyaki sauce
    • 4 tsp (teaspoons) of ketchup
    • 2 tsp (teaspoons) of soy sauce
    • 2 tsp (teaspoons) of sugar
  • Shredded cabbage (don't use too much!! I usually put like, maybe 2 cups in, but do more or less to your heart's content!)
  • 2 stalks of spring onions OR green onions/scallions, chopped pretty finely (amount is to your liking!)
  • 3-5ish strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled/put into small bits (amount is to your liking!)
  • Mozzarella cheese (really just however much you think is enough, if you like lots of cheese use a lot!)
  • Panko breadcrumbs (for topping/sprinkling for fun!)
  • Kewpie mayo (for garnishing/topping!)
Instructions:
  1. To make the yakisoba sauce, if you don't have some already, just mix the Worcestershire sauce, teriyaki sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, and sugar together!! And make sure it's combined well. I think you're looking for like, a tangy taste basically? It's sweet too! I think you'll do it right, but feel free to experiment with the proportions that make it taste best to you!!
  2. To cook the yakisoba noodles, run them under hot water in a strainer first!! Make sure they're loose!
  3. Then oil your pot, and place the noodles in!! Make sure the oven is on medium-high!
  4. Just stir the noodles and make sure they're golden-brown? I think that's it...not much of a time I can say??
    • Oh, and at a point in time, probably sooner rather than later, make sure to put like 1/2 or 3/4 of the yakisoba sauce into the pot and stir, so the noodles can get some nice nice flavorrrrrr~!!
  5. Once the yakisoba is done, make sure to take them off of the heat! If you'd like, put (fresh if possible?) black pepper on the yakisoba and stir!!
  6. So now you're ready for the pizza!! Just stretch out the dough in the best way you know how, for it to fit your pizza pan! (I do about 13 inches)
  7. Once your dough is ready, preheating the oven to like 400° Fahrenheit (~205° Celsius) would be good!! And poke holes in the dough with a fork to make sure that the dough won't bubble up in the oven!!
  8. So, use a cooking brush (I don't know what they're called) or something like that to spread your extra yakisoba sauce on the dough! It won't make it soggy or anything, just do enough so that you can see the sauce on every part of the pizza, evenly? Don't use all the sauce (if you can help it), and I don't think you'll need to do so?
  9. From there, drizzle a bit of Kewpie mayo onto the dough! It's Japan's best mayo brand!! You can leave it in whatever pattern you'd like, but I like a crosshatch-style pattern!!
    namapizza!.jpg
  10. Okay, so now you're gonna put stuff into your yakisoba pot!!
    • Put the cabbage into the yakisoba pot!
    • Put the spring onions/green onions/scallions into the pot!!
    • Crumble up the bacon (or chop it up into small bits!!) if you haven't already, and add all of it into the pot!
    • Take some mozzarella cheese and put it into the pot too!
  11. Stir!! Just until you think it's combined enough, basically?
  12. You might need more cheese, because it's pizza! If that's the case, put some more on and stir!!
  13. So once everything is mixed together nicely, prepare to put it onto your pizza base/dough!!
  14. Just...put it on. It probably will seem like A LOT of stuff, and a pretty tall pizza, but it fits fine in the end!!
  15. If you'd like for it to look like a normal pizza, add some more cheese to the top!!
  16. Then drizzle some more mayo onto the top! (Pizza wasn't meant to be healthy~!!☆)
  17. Your pizza should look similar to this!! →
  18. You're almost done!! So, cover your pizza in foil (I don't know what this does but my mom suggested I do so and it worked well both times??), and then put it in the top rack of the oven, which should be at 400°F (205ish°C)!!
  19. Then just wait for about 15-20 minutes. I like waiting for a longer period of time!!
  20. Once the time you want is completed, take the foil off of the pizza!! (I like to take it off the rack using gloves, and take the foil off like that)
  21. Once the foil is off, put the pizza back into the oven!! This step is only for the cheese on the pizza to brown, so it looks more appealing!!
  22. Maybe wait like 5-10 minutes after that? Just keep an eye on your pizza so you don't burn it. Burnt pizza is still pizza, but I think that nonburnt pizza is personally way better!!!
  23. Once you're finally done with the pizza and it looks nice and not burnt and amazing, it's time to finally pull it out of the oven!! Please use gloves or that kinda thing!!!
  24. Uhmmmmm, so now you've gotta garnish it!! Sprinkle some panko breadcrumbs on there!! And if you'd like, use even more Kewpie mayo?? And drizzle some yakisoba sauce on top too~!!♪
  25. Slice it into the amount you want (I like doing eight!!), and be careful because the toppings are TAPPURI! piled on there!!!
  26. You're done!! You made pizza yesssssssssssss!!!!! Congrats~!!

So, you did it!! Congratulations again~!! :)

Enjoy!! If you want to eat it again within the next few days (there's probably going to be leftovers, this pizza is really filling!!), I reccomend using an air fryer at 400°F (205°C ofc!!) to heat it up! Make sure it's nice and kinda burnt, or at least crispy, then put it in the microwave for a minute to make sure it's not cold!!

And that's it!!

...To be honest, I'm not exactly sure as to why I typed this whooooooooole recipe out...but it's a recipe that I can call my own?? Which I'm super proud of!!

I hope that if you've tried this, you enjoy it!! Please tell me if you try this recipe out or if you have any questions!!! Thank you!!!!!!!

Is this how you make okonomiyaki pizza for yourself or how you make takoyaki okonomiyaki pizza
Well, clearly, this is okonomiyaki teriyaki mayo pizza, not takoyaki okonomiyaki pizza, since the three major components are relegated to the key aspects of what make this pizza itself, as opposed to something like Detroit-style pizza, where it isn’t made out of Detroit, but rather just has a ton of motor oil spilled on top. And we can see here that the teriyaki sauce, mayo, and okonomiyaki elements form the key parts of the flavoring. I say this with confidence , as I skimmed over the recipe, just noticing the ingredients stated above.

Tl;dr: Give me bread with motor oil on it.

This really reminds me of this meme my mom sent me (it's about a punk band):

and it's how I make it...for myself. I think I could tweak a takoyaki recipe and make it a pizza maybe?

I-sure, you can eat oil if you want uh yeah. That was hilarious though.

The teriyaki sauce doesn't really play too much of a part, though??? because it's only in the yakisoba sauce??? And the mayo is just what you put on okonomiyaki, like I made okonomiyaki yesterday and put some on!! And it's just put on pizza normally in Japan!! So, normal pizza???

Japan has some weird pizza combos, but I kinda love it too~♪

Mm, I think I'll make a long blog post today.

So it's the last day of school. It's a half day, and as I'm typing this, I'm sitting in my Japanese classroom.

Weirdly enough, it's like winter today. Gray skies, and 55 degrees and windy (although winter would normally be 32 and windy). I love it.

It's odd for June, but I think it kinda matches my mood.

So...this year a lot has happened. I got through the year with a 3.7 GPA which I'm proud of. I made new friends, figured out who I am, and just got better at life. I can absolutely say that from the start of September, I've changed as a person. A lot.

And that's not a bad thing at all.

So at about 3:00 PM, in exactly 5 hours from when I'm typing this sentence, I have a job interview.

It's with Subway. It's a bit of sweet...irony? Maybe not irony, but the fact that I can become a literal Subway Master makes me laugh a little.

If that doesn't work out, I'll find other places. I don't especially care as long as...I have a little bit of fun.

I guess I'm not too worried really. If I get the job, I get it? But really, a lot of the reason why I even applied to Subway was because of @Blanc.

The word association of "Subway", the restaurant, and "subway", like the Subway Masters in Black/White and Black2/White2, made me think "oh, might as well try it out."

So...in a way, I owe this interview to my big sis♡, and I'll remember her when I think of Subway.

But really, uh, hmm. I'm excited for summer? It'll be fun, I think. I have to go on a really long car trip to Utah, which I'm not excited for. But Utah itself really isn't that bad, despite my oftenstated aggression towards it. I enjoy the food.

I'll still be here for the summer. Still saying hello, still writing articles for Bulbanews, all that.

As for my summer goals, my biggest one is probably working towards changing my voice. Enough so that I can pass as a girl over the phone, although I do admit that that likely isn't possible for that small of a timespan.

My second biggest one is probably learning how to draw. I want to make things for the people I love, just as I've been gifted art from them.

I want to write a lot for my visual novel as well. I don't know how long I'm going to make it, but...just writing is good I think. Maybe some fanfictions too, if I feel that up for it.

Cooking some new things, of course I'll try that.

I'm going to play lots of tennis too, I guess.

I don't really know what else to say? I'll be here...

If you don't know what these lyrics mean, what do you think this song is about?

...It's pretty sad. Really I'm feeling in a bit of a similar mood? Not like...despairing sad exactly. Getting over that is either really quick, or it's almost impossible. But just...mm, hm, like, when you can't do anything about something, you can't help not feeling sad, or at least a more worse mood that normal. But I know that the situation is going to improve and within in a few...periods of time it'll be okay. I know that 100%.

But it still sucks. But that's life?

Okay, so, what I'm really looking forwards to the most of the most this summer?

Being with my friends.

So, continuing into this summer, and even beyond that, I hope I can have some fun, even if I'll be sad at times and stuff, because that's life?

。。いいよ。

so, this summer, let's have lots of fun :)

Just stopping by to say hi Lisia, I hope you're doing well! I haven't seen you around here much for the past couple of days so I figured I'd check in (forgive me but I am a bit of a worrier). Don't feel obligated to reply to this right away of course, just letting you know that I hope you feel better soon :)

When you start drawing and working on your VN, come show us! Today is the official first day of summer, so here's to making the most of it ^^7

i really probably shouldn't be posting like this, but here goes:

i know I've been absent from here, and really, it's not really because of anything in general? no motivation, basically. that coupled with a kinda big worry that's been happening has made me not exactly the most active here. i know i have things to do but...not exactly right now i think. sometime soon and i hope you understand.

i might be completely fine tomorrow, but honestly I'm not sure when I'll get rid of my backlog of notifications.

the fun and games games aren't much fun to me anymore. but i want to continue my time here, and i think from now on more of my time is going to go into things like posting art hopefully, and writing (and absolutely posting that here).

and thank you for worrying... i'm...mm, okay? things will hopefully steadily get better, but i have literally no idea of knowing if that's for certain yet. so that's life i suppose.

as for my VN, i actually have been putting in some work, slowly, in there. just small things but it's what i can do right now. as for art, i have some ideas that'll hopefully be put into practice soon enough.

and i'm doing voice work too :)

at any rate, please don't worry. there's bigger things to worry about i think. and this summer, in my opinion, won't be so bad :)

Yeah I feel that, sometimes I can sit down to 20 or so notifs and just zip through them all, at other times I see them and pick out a few of my favorites but just let the others sit, sometimes for a week or more.

And I’m over here with my only notifications being from hurt and heal and the occasional reaction lmao

Anyway, Lisia, I hope you’re able to work through everything you’ve got going on right now, I wish you best of luck with your voice and everything else. Let me know if you need anything, I’m absolutely here for you. I kinda feel you on the games losing their luster, right now I only keep up with hurt and heal and maybe do a few others when I’m bored. Still gonna try to be present here though, and I’m glad to see you hoping to do the same, you’re a wonderful part of this community and a great friend.

This might be a little odd, but...

currently I'm not feeling the best!! (again!?) it's for vastly different reasons!!

mm but music always helps, so my little update right now is that I'm currently listening to the 2018 Dance Gavin Dance album, Artificial Selection! it's my favorite of theirs, and has made me feel better beforeeeee~

out of the songs in it, i like midnight crusade (listening rn!) and story of my bros most.

maybe it's a little unexpected that i listen to metal? it's a combo of mathrock and metal? prog metal? swancore?

anyways, uhmmmm, I'm alive? hi!?

ALRIGHT OKAY!!

life stuff has been happening!! I went to a wedding reception!! I had a Japanese conversation at that event, this kinda thing always happens in the most odd of places LMAO

I got my drawing pen finally!!! It works well thankfully~ uhmm from now on I hope to be learning!! So I'll turn to some friends I have who can draw, and to YouTube or something!

My goal is an overall... probably a cute chibi style maybe? But I need proportion practice and stuff before that!!

Oh and also!! At the reception there were these DELICIOUS!! fruit tarts and luckily I was actually able to get the recipe from the nice lady (I think it was the groom's mom?????) who made them!!!!! When I get back to Washington and my house in like a week and a half, I'm going to make them!!

ALSO ALSO!! I finally got an AO3 invitation, so now I'm off to rewrite my previous fics! once I'm satisfied I'll share my account although I'm not going to be that hard to track down I think!

What else? Nothing I think!! Lots of VN ideas too!

I'm going to actually catch up on my notifications again LMAO

I haven't really done much this week, despite ample time to do stuff LMAO!

I'm okay with that though. There's a lot of time this summer, and hopefully this week...!

My stylus came so I'm starting art soon which I'm incredibly excited for~ hopefully it'll look fine! I wasn't really able to celebrate June 7th Tanabata, but luckily sometimes it's on August 7 too, and I'll be home then, so it'll be awesome!!

My goals this week are: try drawing, write a bit (VN and/or fics), and... that's it?

OH I'm working on a small translation project for a song I've enjoyed, so, please look forwards to that soon!!

I'm going to a concert with my mom tomorrow which is exciting! I'll hopefully update this with some stuff!

Uhmmmm... not much else! It's summer! I'm missing some friends though aaa, one in particular! I bet they're just doing life stuff is okay but I miss you @ConfectionerMari!!!

I hope that everyone is doing okay, but if not that's okay too! It'll be okay in the end :)

(how are you!?)

Cool! What band?

The Sonic fanbase has consumed me, I never should have ventured in.
