Welcome to the War Room, everybody! This thread will be used to create a schedule and queue for game order, so that we don't have a sudden flood of signups or an extremely dry spell.
There are 3 different queues:
  • Small Games is for mafia games with 13 players or fewer.
  • Large Games is for mafia games with 14 players or more.
  • Non-Mafia Games is for all non-mafia games.
Next to this, we have 2 extra types of games:
So you think your game is ready? Well let's have a look? Have you created your setup? Did you think off what roles you want to use, and write it down? If you do, let us know in-thread. This way a MoD (Moderator on Duty) can be assigned to your game.
They will require a full copy of your game, in whatever way you created it. (A word doc, an excel sheet, a quick topic, a google sheet. Whatever you wish to use! :) ) in the case you might become unavailable in the middle of the game, so they can take over for you until you return or the game ends.
Please note you're still allowed to edit your game while it rests in the queue.

Please make sure to add broad details/mechanics of your game when you post it in thread. (i.e. number of players, setup style, player involvement with character design, etc.) so that everyone knows what your game is about and so that your MoD can place the game in the appropriate queue. (This does not include special game mechanics. You can include that in the OP of your game thread.)

All Special Games are in their respective queue based on size.
If you are hosting a Mentor Game, please also specify that here, including details such as if it's a host mentor, or player mentor game.

When someone requests to put a game in the Special Games queue it will first be discussed by TWR staff if it is allowed to enter that queue, please keep in mind that this discussion might take a few days, we will contact you if your game will not be added.

Because of the current size and activity of The War Room, the limit for number of Small Games, Large Games and Non-Mafia Games games in signups for each category is 1 game each. At any given point only 2 of Small Games & Large Games can be ongoing. This can be 2 small games, 2 large games or a mix of them. There may also only ever be 2 Non-Mafia games ongoing at a given point.

Before a game goes into signups, the setup must be finalized and role PMs should be created.
Feel free to still tweak any of the above during signups, but the game must be able to start as soon as you post signups! :)

A Special Game will count towards the sign-ups limit. Because of this, the host must give a desired date to start the sign-ups. We will then add the game to the sign-ups when a spot opens up roughly around that date. Once a special game is ready, it will take the next spot available in Ongoing Games.

If signups for Small Games and Non-Mafia Games do not fill up within 20 days of the thread's posting, or signups for Large Games do not fill up within 30 days, the MoD will discuss with the host(s) what happens to the game, this can involve putting it lower in the queue or even canceling it completely. If there is no slot in ongoing games available yet, the games in sign up get extra time until a spot opens up.

When a spot for signups is open, the game at the top of the queue may be posted, and a reminder post will let the hosts of the game know that their game is coming up and they have 72 hours to post signups.
If at any time a host feels that they are not ready to host their game, then the host can request for their game to be moved down in the queue.

Hosts that place their games in a queue can also suggest that players reserve spots in them. This way they can gauge how much interest there is in their games, reduce the time the game spends in signups, and prevent situations where someone may be left out of a game because the thread was posted at a time they were not around and it filled up extremely quickly. But please don't go around poking everyone about your game, if they want to join your game, they will do so. However, feel free to advertise your sign-ups on the TWR Discord!

Hosts are allowed to lock their game in place for a total limit of 2 months in the queue. They are allowed to get an extension after mod permission.
A strikethrough in a game means that it is locked.

After your signups are over; either by filling up your game or by running out of time, you have 72 hours to start the game thread.

Each host can only have 1 game in each queue. co-hosting won’t be discouraged, if at least one of the hosts doesn’t have another game in the queue then the game may be added. Special Games do not count toward the hosting limit.

In regards to Player Interaction and ??P count games;
  • Both of these types of games are exempt from the "setup/Role PM needs to be done" rules
  • A player input game has +- a week to post the actual game thread after signups close, this may be shorter or longer at the MoDs discretion.
  • ??P games have to follow the same rules in regards to posting game thread after signups as any other game.
  • The above rule gets overruled by the one above it. So a Player-Input ??P game still has +- a week to post the game thread.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the War Room Staff @TheCapsFan, @Snowy, @Calvinッ, @DawningWinds, @JamieIsBored

Added these 2 small bits, since they were forgotten. :)

Before I forget to add this, my Biannual EiMM that I plan to run is set to go once again in February, so this time, I'd like to submit to the Special events to start on Feb 14 (signups going from Feb 1-Feb-12):

Everybody Has a Special Somebody Mafia Mafia (??P)
This game will have a lovely little twist, in that each player will be randomly (and secretly of course) paired up with a partner that is unable to backstab them, with a shared sort of combo role that based on who's alive/dead in the pair, will have different powers. For instance:

<Player 1> and <Player 2> are Ash Ketchum and Pikachu.
  • Combo: Pikachu can issue RoleBlocks, and Ash passively empowers Pikachu with a strongwilled, making it so Pikachu can't fail
  • If Ash is dead and Pikachu is alive: Pikachu can only Roleblock, but in a fit of rage, can Roleblock two people at once
  • If Pikachu is dead and Ash is alive: Ash can swap to a different Pokémon, of which he may have 5 others, and can empower either of their abilities
Use this kind of knowledge to your benefit; if you can't avoid death, strategically get one of your own dead to reap the rewards of additional powers for your duo.

I'll be adding Pokemon Regional Evolution - Kanto Edition [13P] to the small games queue.
Hope y'all are excited.

For those who didn't see on Discord,
This'll be a series of games which'll go past all the regions (including side game) with the main theme of being some special sort of game. This'll be in the form of special custom made roles.

Oh and I'll try to hang some form of flavor throughout the series, depending on who dies and what not. This should be fun! :)

Since jackatlasred didn't show up within the 72 hours given for his game to begin, it will get moved to the bottom of the Small Games Queue, and:
- Bulbagarden Sections Mafia [13p] (Hosted by @Rainbow Cloud and @SoaringDylan ) [MoD: SoaringDylan]
is next up for signups.

- Bulbagarden Sections Mafia [13p] (Hosted by @Rainbow Cloud and @SoaringDylan ) [MoD: SoaringDylan]
will be locked until the next game has started signups, RC & I would rather be able to focus on this one game then having to split between games, so if nobody else unlocks we'll take the next round :)

Meaning:
- MCH Multiverse 2: Evil vs Oblivion [11p] (Hosted by @returnofMCH, @Drift and @Maniacal Engineer )

is up next, y'all got 72 hours to post the signups! :)

With a Large game moving to ongoing,
- Digi-Mafia Adventure [15p] (Hosted by @Lone_Garurumon ) [MoD: TheCapsFan]

is up for signups in the next 72 hours.

Ehm, well since special events take over the spot of the queue I'm afraid the ZD-I game will be taking this spot :/

- The Price is Right [9p+] (Hosted by @Jsach)
is next up for singups in Non-Mafia Games. You have 72 hours to post the thread.
