Ticketed event to be held in Okinawa for collaboration between Pokémon GO and Pokémon Air Adventures

Niantic has announced that a real-life ticketed event will be held in Okinawa, Japan, in addition to the global collaboration event. This event will be held on May 7th and May 8th, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on both days. Unlike the global collaboration event, all players must have a ticket to receive event bonuses. These bonuses will not be active without a ticket even if the Trainer is in Okinawa, Japan.

The following bonuses will be active for this event:
  • Get up to 3 free Raid Passes daily by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms.
  • 2 extra special trade per day
  • Take a few snapshots on both days. Latios and Latias may be encountered.
  • Receive event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
  • All Pokémon, excluding Emolga, have an increased chance of appearing as a Shiny.

A Collection Challenge to collect Flying-type Pokémon will also be available as part of this event. Trainers will receive a Great Arm Collector medal, 3 Incense, and 100 Charizard Mega Energy for completing this collection challenge.
