Top Speed Time Trial Event and Investigate the Foundation Villain Event return to Pokémon Masters EX until December 17th

A huge helping of Alola region content is coming to Pokémon Masters EX this week, with re-runs of the 2023 edition of the Top Speed Time Trial Event, and the Investigate the Foundation Villain Event, both of which originally ran alongside the debut of the Alola Chapter of the Villain Arc earlier this year. A trio of fair-exclusive Sygna Suit sync pairs featured in the Alola Chapter will also be making their return in a special Triple Feature Poké Fair Scout, while the Alola Challenge is starting this week in the Champion Stadium. Also starting today is a new Special Battle Event, featuring the recently released Neo Champion Nate.

Time Trial Event: Top Speed
The 2023 edition of the Top Speed Time Trial Event, which originally ran from May 10th to June 2nd this year, is returning to Pokémon Masters EX until December 17th.

Time trial events are a rare type of limited-time event in Pokémon Masters EX, having only previously been run 4 times since the original Race to Victory event in November 2020. These events challenge players to complete battles in a short amount of time, with players being ranked from Grade C to Grade S and awarded points according to how long they take to win a battle. Event Rewards are then earned by players for reaching certain point milestones.

Whereas previous time trial events imposed limits on the number of attempts players might make per day, in this run of the Top Speed event players will have no restrictions on the number of attempts of each event battle. As such, practice matches are not included in this particular time trial events.

A wide range of event missions will be available alongside this event. The first batch of 7 missions for this event is available in-game now, with more scheduled to open up over the coming days:

• Missions 8-11 will be available from December 4th, at 10:00pm (PST)
• Missions 12-15 will be available from December 5th, at 10:00pm (PST)
• Missions 16-19 will be available from December 6th, at 10:00pm (PST)
• Missions 20-23 will be available from December 7th, at 10:00pm (PST)

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.

Villain Event: Investigate the Foundation
Investigate the Foundation ties into the first part of the Alola chapter of the Villain Arc, featuring battles against the Aether Foundation. Players will receive Event Voucher Y for completing battles in this event, which can be redeemed in the Exchange Items menu for a variety of items including 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets, 5★-Guaranteed Alola Scout Tickets, and Main Character & Solgaleo Legendary Spirit that can be used to boost the Main Character & Solgaleo to 6★ EX.

Players can also obtain Gems and Event Medals for completing special missions during the event. Players will be able to obtain all of these rewards even if they have previously completed the Villain Event during its original run between April and June this year.

Unlike regular Story Events, this Villain Event does not include any lineup bonuses to increase battle rewards. There are however special bonuses for Alola Sync Pairs, who will have increased Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defence when used in missions for this event, giving them an easier time in completing stages.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00pm (PST)
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• When the exchange period for the vouchers obtained in this event ends, leftover Event Voucher Y items will be converted into coins (10 coins per voucher) and sent to each player's Present Box.

Champion Stadium: Alola Challenge
Champion Stadium will be rotating around to Alola until December 31st, at 9:59pm (PST), giving players the opportunity to challenge Alolan Elite 4 members Hala, Molayne, Olivia, Acerola, and Hahili, as well as Champion-challengers Professor Kukui and Hau. The exact roster of opposents will change weekly, offering players the chance to play against both Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Moon lineups.

Successful trainers will gain access to Master Mode, which allows players to face more challenging battles against the Elite 4, an in-game badge that signifies their accomplishment, and other special reward items including Champion Spirit, which can be used to raise sync pairs up to 6★ EX.

To participate in the Champion Stadium, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 10: A Reason to Battle (Normal) in single-player.

Triple Feature Poké Fair Scout
Sygna Suit Acerola & Tapu Bulu, Sygna Suit Lana & Tapu Lele, and Sygna Suit Mina & Tapu Fini feature in this special Triple Feature Poké Fair Scout. These three sync pairs originally debuted in their own individual Poké Fair Scouts alongside the original run of the Alola Chapter of the Villain Arc.

As with a typical Poké Fair Scout, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 10% chance of appearing, with the three featured trainers having a higher chance of being scouted. The scout also includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for x100 paid gems. Each daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout.

Special Battle Event: Take on a serious Nate!
In Pokémon Masters EX's latest Special Battle Event, players will face off against Nate in a pair of difficult battles to earn rewards including Gems and Champion Spirit. Take on a Serious Nate! will run through to January 3rd, at 9:59pm (PST).
