Trials on the Isle Story Event returns to Masters EX alongside Selene & Elio Spotlight Scout

Fans of Alola can rejoice as the Alola-centric Story Event Trials on the Isle makes a return to Pokémon Masters EX this week. The iconic characters from the region featured in this event also make a return in a Spotlight Scout.

Trials on the Isle Event Re-run
This event, which originally ran from April 15th to May 2nd, 2021, features Elio and Selene as they take on trials offered by the Alola Trial Captains Lana, Kiawe, and Mallow, who each bring their signature challenges to Pasio. The event is available in-game now, and will be running until May 1st, at 10:59pm (PT). By completing battles during this event, players can earn Event Voucher V items, which can be exchanged for a variety of valuable items, including 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets. Players can also obtain Event Medals and up to 1,240 Gems for completing special missions during the event. All rewards can be claimed even if players have previously completed the event during its original run.

As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:

• Selene & Rowlett/Dartrix/Decidueye, Elio & Poplio/Brionne/Primarina: +60% (x1.6) bonus rewards
• Mallow & Tsareena: +40% (x1.4) bonus rewards
• Alolan Sync Pairs, Player Character & Pikachu, Player Character & Torchic:: +20% (x1.2) bonus rewards

These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Selene & Rowlett, Mallow & Tsareena, and the Player Character & Pikachu would grant a combined +120% (x2.2) rewards.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00pm (PT).
• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• Leftover Event Voucher V will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes

Selene and Elio Spotlight Scout
This Spotlight Scout offers players an opportunity to scout the two main sync pairs featured in the Trials on the Isle Story Event, with both of these featured pairs having a higher rate of appearance than usual.

• Selene & Rowlett
• Elio & Poplio

More information about each of these sync pairs can be found via the Bulbapedia links above. Players acquiring either of these seasonal Sync Pairs will also receive 3x Custom 5★ Power-Ups for that Sync Pair, up to a maximum of 15 Custom 5★ Power-Ups each.

This Spotlight Scout is available in-game now, and will run until May 1st, at 10:59pm (PT).
