I wonder how that one death could have been prevented?

My One Death: Ember the Pansear (Level 28) Method #1: Focus Sash & Focus Band There are only 2 items that could be used to prevent fainting. Those items are the Focus Sash & Focus Band. Both of which are at the Battle Maison, the end of the game. Method #2: Situs Berry or Oran Berry If I had gotten a Sitrus Berry or had a few Oran Berries which I could have given to Pansear before the fight, I might have been able to save Pansear. Method #3: More Leveling before the fight At the time, Pansear was only 3 Levels higher. If I had trained Pansear maybe a few more Levels, I Pansear could have had the hit be softened more. Those are the 3 most likely possibilities, but it is really hard to say for sure.

Yeah. It is hard to say. Although why do I think you would have replaced him with Talonflame at somepoint anyway?

Talonflame is a lot more powerful. I tend to think Pansear could have been like what Chandelure ended up being.
