Unovia's White "Manga Protagonist Black" Run

Log #24-Route 5 & The Drawbridge
227px-Black_2_White_2_Cheren.png
Traveling west from Nimbasa City, I found myself facing Cheren in battle. Both of us now have the Bolt Badge (I believe I got it before Cheren did), and Cheren wanted to see how we would battle following that Gym. Liepard (Level 24) and Dewott (Level 26) both were taken down by Sage (Level 31) and Pansear (Level 24) and Tranquil (Level 24) were both taken down by Costa (Level 31). Cheren was naturally disappointed in his loss. Elesa met with us, continuing forward onto the Drftveil Drawbridge.
152px-Black_White_Alder.png
In a crowd of people, we were introduced to Alder, who asked Cheren and I to battle a few Preschoolers. The two Preschoolers were able to beat Cheren's Liepard, and Musha. Sage cleared the fight. Alder challenged Cheren to think about what would happen once Cheren became the Champion, leaving Cheren to think. Elesa pushed us forward to the bridge, which she talked to Clay and got it working again.
320px-Driftveil_Drawbridge_anime.png
The Driftveil Drawbridge is also known as the Charizard Bridge, due to its elegant form. On the bridge, Ducklett can be found here and much of their feathers can be found as well. I crossed the bridge on my bike. From there, I was now in the care of Clay. Clay introduced himself and Cheren moved on. I explored Driftveil City, arriving eventually at the Driftveil Market.

In the next Log, we will battle the famous "Heartbreaker" Charles. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #25-Battling A Heartbreaker
320px-Charles_anime.png
Charles "The Heartbreaker" and I battled in the first Triple Battle. Charles had Zebstrika, Krokorok, and Basculin (all Level 27) and I opened with Bo, Sage, and Musha (Levels 32 & 33). Musha would be defeated, but Bo and Sage would defeat Charles. After I defeated Charles, I settled myself near the Driftveil Market. In the next Log, we will explore the Market and then go to the Cold Storage. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #26-Driftveil Market & Cold Storage
568px-Black_White_Team_Plasma_Grunts.png

I explored the Driftveil Market, then it took me a bit to actually find the Cold Storage. Clay asked Cheren and myself to prove ourselves by taking on the Team Plasma grunts that were seen running around the Cold Storage. I battled the trainers around the storage, then went into the cold interior. It took a while to find all of the workers and the Plasma grunts since it had a lot of sliding around. Once I got to the farthest reaches of the Storage, I managed to take on a whole string of Plasma Grunts. Clay showed up and escorted the grunts out.

My Team:
Bo (Level 34)
Sage (Level 33)
Musha (Level 33)
Costa (Level 33)

In the next Log, we will take on Clay for the next Gym Badge. Until the next time, we will see you!

How did Charizard Bridge get its name if the people of Unova have never seen or heard of non-Gen 5 Pokémon?
No idea. They said it was about the elegant form. Maybe it looked red and the wires looked like wings. I suspect someone who was from Kanto established the bridge and admired Charizard built the bridge or at least inspired it.

Log #27-The Battle In The Mines (Gym #5)
Clay.jpg
Driftveil Gym
I went into the Driftveil Gym, planning to only use the trainers to train up Sage & Costa to Level 34 and then back out to train up Musha at the Cold Storage later. It didn't quite happen, but by the time Costa was close to Level 34, I was ready to fight Clay. Clay opened with Krokorok (Level 29) and I opened with Costa (Level 33). I had to have Costa alternate between Brine and Aqua Jet due to Torment and Swagger from Krokorok, but Costa managed to get Krokorok out while forcing Clay to use both of his healing items. I switched to Sage (Level 34) and he brought out Palpitoad (Level 34). Sage had learned Grass Knot while taking on the Gym Trainers. Grass Knot does more dependent on the weight of the opponent. Palpitoad is not too heavy, but it was an OHKO nonetheless. The next Pokemon was Excadrill (Level 31). Excadrill can be particularly nasty if it is allowed to set up. I sent out Bo (Level 34), which used Flame Charge to boost the speed. Excadrill set up using Hone Claws. Knowing I had to act fast, I had Bo use the newly taught Fire Pledge, which defeated Excadrill, beating Clay. I now have 5 Badges!

My Team:
Bo (Level 34)
Sage (Level 34)
Musha (Level 33)
Costa (Level 34)

Upon being defeated, Clay asked us to meet him on Route 6. In the next Log, we will do just that, and also check out the Seasonal Research Lab. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #28-Route 6 & The Seasonal Research Lab
275px-Black_2_White_2_Bianca.png
Heading west out of Driftveil City, Bianca catches up with me, and, after complimenting me on getting my most recent badge, challenges me to battle. She opened with Herdier (Level 26) and I opened with Bo (Level 34). Herdier used Work Up and Take Down, while Bo repeatedly used Arm Thrust to take it down. She then sent out Panpour (Level 26) and I sent out Sage (Level 34), which used Grass Knot, taking out Panpour. She sent out her Musharna (Level 26) and I brought out Costa. Two Crunches took it out. I am waiting until Musha hits Level 43 before I evolve it. Lastly, she sent out Servine (Level 28) and I brought Bo back out, which used Flame Charge and Fire Pledge to take out Servine. Bianca left after giving me Fly.
Sawsbuck.jpg
Once I beat Bianca, I traveled Route 6, eventually arriving at the Seasonal Research Lab. There, scientists are studying the seasonal effects on a Pokemon called Deerling and its evolution, Sawsbuck. One of the scientists asked me to catch a Deerling each season to help with the research. I caught a Summer Deerling to show him, then deposited it. I will likely catch the others over the course of the game.
240px-595Joltik.png
Afterward, I ran into a healing house (I needed it badly), then headed toward Chargestone Cave, where Clay met with me to get rid of a Galvantula web in front of the cave. Wondering into the cave, I met with N, who was protected by the Shadow Triad. He talked about some things, then left further into the cave. I took the opportunity to catch my next Team member, a Joltik named Tula (Level 26), leaving Chargestone shortly afterward. I am currently training Tula using Audino Farming at the Cold Storage and the Exp. Share. I want to get Tula to Level 35, same as the rest of the team. Shouldn't take too long to do.

In the next Log, we will go through Chargestone Cave, arriving at Mistralton City. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #29-Chargestone Cave
Chargestone_Cave_exterior_Summer_B2W2.png
Chargestone Cave is a very tricky location! I will admit I got turned around quite a bit in this cave, mainly because of the various sets of stairs and the swarming amounts of Pokemon you can run into. Both Bo and Tula evolved to their final forms, Emboar & Galvantula, respectively. Bianca and Professor Juniper regularly met with me. Bianca was Professor Juniper's "body guard", though I think Professor Juniper could defend herself. However, it is possible that Juniper plans to train Bianca as a Professor's Assistant at this point (we know Bianca became a Professor's assistant by BW2, so is it possible it starts here?)
151px-Black_2_White_2_N.png
After some trial and error, I eventually found N. We talked, then he challenged me to battle. He opened with Boldore (Level 28) and I opened with Bo (Level 36). It took a bit to take Boldore down, but Boldore only used Iron Defense to stall as Bo used Arm Thrust. Boldore fell, and N sent out Joltik (Level 28), Ferroseed (Level 28) and then Klink (Level 28), all of which fell to Bo and Fire Pledge. N yelled at Professor Juniper, saying she demeans Pokemon by trying to study them. Bianca left with Juniper so she could continue to study Klink, her reason as to being in Chargestone Cave. I exited outward to Mistralton City.

In the next Log, we will go through Mistralton City & Route 7, ending with an exploration of Celestial Tower. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #30-Mistralton, Route 7, & Celestial Tower
240px-Black_White_Cedric_Juniper.png
Now in Mistralton City, I ran into Cedric Juniper, who updated my Pokedex and congratulated me on seeing that I had seen a Klink. He introduced me to Skyla, the Mistralton Gym Leader. She left to check on a sick Pokemon at the Celestial Tower. I headed there as well, taking on the trainers on the Route. The raised walkways were tricky, and if you stopped for too long, you would fall. I arrived at a healing house, where I took a pause before I completed the journey to the Celestial Tower.
Celestial Tower.jpg
It took some time to figure out how to get through the Celestial Tower. By the time I got to the top, I managed to get to Level 38 with the entire squad. There are many levels here. At the top, I met with Skyla, who had handled the sick Pokemon problem. She encouraged me to ring the bell, and then she left, ready to battle me.

In the next Log, we will take on Skyla! Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #31-Acrobatics In A Hangar (Gym #6)
skyla.png
Mistralton Gym
There are cannons in the Gym, and several trainers. Some looked like Miners in Clay's Gym. I alternated Costa and Tula with each fight. Before the fight with Skyla, my Team was:
Tula (Level 38)-Got to Level 39 during the fight
Costa (Level 39)
Bo (Level 38)
Sage (Level 38)
Munna (Level 38)

Skyla opened with Swoobat (Level 33) and I opened with Tula, who OHKOed with an Electro Ball. Next was the female Unfezant (Level 33), and Tula used another Electro Ball, which OHKOed. Lastly was Swanna (Level 35) and Tula OHKOed Swanna with Electro Ball. Just 3 Electro Ball hits. That easily swept her. Skyla talked to me about Team Plasma, which she saw moving toward Icirrus City when she was flying over Twist Mountain. We will have to be facing them soon.

In the next Log, we will be getting Surf and going back to check out some old areas. Until the next time, we will see you soon!

Log #32-Surfing In Unova
227px-Black_2_White_2_Cheren.png
With both of us having the Jet Badge, Cheren challenged me to a battle. Sage (Level 39) battled Liepard (Level 33) and Dewott (Level 35), while Musha (Level 39) battled Simisear (Level 33) & Unfezant (Level 33). There were some issues, but even though it got close at points, I managed to defeat him. He was frustrated, confused as to why he was not living up to his potential.
152px-Black_White_Alder.png
Alder showed up after the battle, giving Cheren and I Surf. There are several locations that I could back track and travel to on our way to our next destination, Route 17 & 18, which is near Nuvema Town. Normally I would have a Flying type to make the journey a lot easier, but unfortunately, I don't, so I had to bike and walk all the way back. I went from Mistralton City -->Chargestone Cave-->Route 6-->Driftveil City-->Wellspring Cave-->Route 3-->Striaton City-->Route 1, battling a few trainers along the way. It was hard to get there, but I eventually did. I also gave Costa Surf to clear out these locations and find all of these areas.

In the next Log, we will be exploring Routes 17 and 18. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #33-Routes 17 & 18 & The P2 Lab
240px-538Throh.png
Now at Route 1, it took me a bit to find my way to Route 17, which was a challenging journey due to the currents. Eventually, however, I found land, which ended up being Route 18. An explorer gave me an egg, which will eventually hatch into a Larvesta, the pre evolution of Volcarona. I ham still workng to hatch it. Looking ahead, I will need a Pokemon to use Strength for exploration in a number of places. Because of that, I decided to catch a Throh (Level 31) which I named Judo. It won't take me too long to catch it up to the rest of my Team (Level 40). I will first hatch the Larvesta egg, then train Judo. Unfortunately, because of the Strength rocks, I was unable to find my way to the P2 Lab. It will just take me a little bit.

In the next Log, we will hunt down Cobalion & Virizion. Until the next time, we will see you soon!

Log #34-Cobalion & Virizion
240px-604Eelektross.png
Before I went after Cobalion, I hatched my Larvesta (naming it Vulca), and ended up training to Level 20 (for now). I then headed from Driftveil City to Route 6, surfing a bit around to find Mistralton Cave, where Cobalion waits. I found out that the cave required Flash. To solve this out, I headed back to Chargestone Cave, where I went to find a Tynamo to give Flash. It took me a bit to find one, but I did, catching it at Level 27, naming it Tross. Backtracking, I went back to the Cold Storage, where I trained Tross and Judo using Audino. Judo and Tross got to Level 40. Tross was also fully evolved at that point. I think I am starting to build a secondary Team...
638Cobalion_BW_anime.png
Now ready to go, I did some shopping, getting some Ultra Balls and Dusk Balls to hunt down Cobalion. I had to use a walkthrough video to get there, but I eventually found Cobalion. Cobalion took a few tries to catch it, but I managed to eventually catch it. It took a lot of effort to get, but it was nothing compared to the next capture.
640Virizion_BW_anime.png
Virizion was in a hidden area of Pinwheel Forest. This took me a lot of effort, trying a few different status conditions (sleep, paralysis, and confusion) until I got it. Virizion is very tricky, but it's done. Both Cobalion & Virizion were Level 42. So happy I got them both, but there were some very close calls!

My Secondary Team (So Far):
Judo (Throh)-Level 40 (Strength)
Tross (Eelektross)-Level 40 (Flash)
Vulca (Larvesta)-Level 20 (Fly)

I plan to add a Seismitoad for Dive & Swanna for Waterfall later.

In the next Log, we will take on Twist Mountain. Until the next time, we will see you soon!

My Secondary Team
Ok, so this is not an official Log, but I think I want to discuss my eventual Secondary Team, since I am working to get all of the elements for it.
Team Member #1-Stoutland
Nickname: Stout

I plan to revive my Lilipup (currently Level 15) which I dropped off into the Box after Gym 1. I am considering giving it Dig for those emergency situations with no Escape Ropes, since I don't normally buy them. I want to get it to Level 40 to match the rest of the Team. Plus, Stoutland is known as a Ride Pokemon in other Regions whose job it is to dig up items (like a Dowsing machine). Also, what dog doesn't dig?!

Team Member #2-Throh
Nickname: Judo

Throh is my Strength user. It is already usable for my Main Team (currently Level 40), and it helped to capture the two (of three) Swords of Justice I have so far. There are so many instances of giant rocks in Unova, and maybe I can use him to go back and get some hidden items.

Team Member #3-Volcarona
Nickname: Vulca

Volcarona is going to assist with Fly. Right now, it is a Larvesta (at Level 20). The crazy thing is that I have to get my Larvesta to Level 59! Level 59! What the heck!

Team Member #4-Eelektross
Nickname: Tross

I got Eelektross as a Tynamo to have it use Flash. It has experience hunting Legendaries (same as Throh), and it Level 40 (same as the rest of my Main Team). There may be a few dark caves to explore yet, making it super useful.

Team Member #5-Seismitoad
Nickname: Seismic

I don't have the Tympole yet (will be catching one shortly in Pinwheel Forest). It will be used for Surf & Dive as a treasure explorer.

Team Member #6-Swanna
Nickname: Swannie

I don't have the Ducklett yet (it's on Driftveil Bridge), but I will soon. I will be giving it Fly (until I get Volcarona) and Waterfall.

Most of these Pokemon will be trained using Audino. Thank goodness for Audino hunting!

Log #35-Twist Mountain
When I got to a point where I couldn't get any more Audino to appear in the grass to train my secondary team, I got my Main Team out to take on Twist Mountain (My Swanna flew me to Mistralton City, where there was a light rainstorm). I endeavored to explore every nook and cranny of the sprawling location and battle every trainer. Coming into the entrance, I met with Cheren and Clay, who were somehow here. Clay departed, as did Cheren, leaving me alone to explore at my leisure. I explored every doorway, every path, battling 12 trainers, with the most significant find being Doctor Hank, for my Team was really hurting when I found him. Once I did, I felt I could explore more openly. Once Musha got to Level 42, I looked at my planned moveset and discovered that I could evolve Musha from a Munna to a Musharna. I had a Moon Stone from a previous find and evolved it. This just leaves Sage as the only one left to evolve (I will be evolving it shortly) of my Main squad so far. It wasn't too hard to get through here, much to my relief. I eventually arrived on the other side, where Icirrus City awaited.

671px-Icirrus_City_Summer_B2W2.png
While in Icirrus, I did some exploration, taking part in a Quiz Show and getting another Experience Share. There is also an odd group of 4 people who dance in a circle. Several of the people talked about Dragonspiral Tower, including Cedric Juniper, who suggested I go there. Before I do that, I decided to take on the Icirrus Gym for my next Gym Badge. In the next Log, we will take on the Icirrus Gym leader, Brycen. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #36-Spinning On The Ice (Gym #7)
284px-Black_White_Brycen.png
Icirrus Gym
I first took on the Gym trainers so I could focus on the Gym Puzzle, which is an ice slider puzzle. I took the opportunity to heal up after beating the trainers, then took on the puzzle properly, which I needed a video for. I used this one:
Having used the video, my Team was:
Bo-Level 43
Tula-Level 43
Costa-Level 42
Sage-Level 42
Musha-Level 42

Against Brycen, I set Bo to battle, which I used for the entire fight. He opened with Vanillish (Level 37) and Bo came out swinging, using Flamethrower, leading to an OHKO. Wanting to take me on, Brycen sent out Beartic (Level 39). I was worried, since Beartic is bulky. Bo used another Flamethrower, which took out Beartic in an OHKO. Backed into a corner, Brycen sent out Cryogonal (Level 37), which was a bit faster, hitting with Aurora Beam. Bo ended the fight with another Flamethrower, ending the fight and winning me the battle! 7 Badges down!
320px-Shadow_Triad_B2W2_Trailer.png
As I left the Gym, the Shadow Triad appeared, who told me to go to the Dragonspiral Tower. Apparently, Brycen could see them. Cheren and Brycen headed to Dragonspiral Tower, while Bianca fretted about what would happen next. Cheren has not gotten his 7th Badge yet, and he thinks he has the power o help against Team Plasma? Only time will tell. He certainly doesn't match my levels, I am sure.

In the next Log, we will head to Dragonspiral Tower and take on Team Plasma. Until the next time, we will see you!
