Unovia's White "Manga Protagonist Black" Run

Log #46-Victory Road
I used this walkthrough to find my way through Victory Road.

It was awesome to go through the Badge Check Gates, remembering my journey through Unova. Honestly, I expected a battle with Cheren in the Victory Road, much like Hugh in the sequels did. I managed to defeat all of the trainers on the Victory Road, finding myself at the entrance of the Pokemon League. I was nicely overleveled to beat all of them, with most of my team getting to Level 55 (except Costa and Brav). That is what the Nimbasa Stadiums can do.

In the next Log, we will go find Terrakion, the last of the Swords of Justice. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #47-Terrakion
115px-639Terrakion_BW_anime.png
Terrakion is in Victory Road, so I decided to go in with a different team, a mixture of Main and Secondary Teams. I had Costa, Brav, Judo, Tross, and Stout in my Team, making sure to have an open slot to carry Terrakion with me out of the Victory Road. I had 22 Ultra Balls, and I ended up using most of them. Tross did most of the work, Paralyzing Terrakion, with the rest of my Team used to lower and take its tough hits. It was close, but I managed to catch it, and with that, the Swords of Justice were done. Woohoo!
Unova Elite Four.jpg
In the next Log, we will take on the Unova Elite Four! Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #48-The Pokemon League
Shauntal.jpg
In the Unova Region, you can battle the Elite four in any order you want. I decided to start with going left to right. This brought me into battle with Shauntal.

Elite Four #1-Shauntal
Shauntal is a Ghost Type Specialist. I actually wasn't sure who to open with before the battle, deciding to go with Sage (Level 56) against her Cofagrigus (Level 48). Sage started the fight with Crunch, which did a lot of damage to Cofagrigus, and Cofagrigus transferred its Mummy ability, then tried to use Will-O-Wisp, which thankfully missed, and Sage took out Cofagrigus with another Crunch. Next came her Chandelure (Level 50), and I changed to Costa (Level 56). Costa used Surf to hit Chandelure, and Chandelure used Shadow Ball. Shauntal healed up Chandelure, and I decided to change up tactics, using Rock Slide against Chandelure, which took it out. Her next Pokemon was her Golurk (Level 48), and I changed back to Sage. Because Golurk is so heavy, I had Sage use Grass Knot, which took out Golurk easily. Last for Shauntal was her female Jellicent (Level 48) and I switched to Tula (Level 56), which first used Discharge. Jellicent hit with Surf. Tula struck again with Discharge, which took out Jellicent and triggered Cursed Body. No worry, since I beat Shauntal.
Grimsley.jpg
Elite Four #2-Grimsley
Grimsley is a Dark Type Specialist. I had a few options that I could have used to start this fight, mainly Tula, Brav, and Emboar, eventually choosing to start with Tula against Scrafty (Level 48). I had Tula repeatedly use Signal Beam against Scrafty, who, surprisingly only used Sand Attack. Tula won out the struggle. Next was his Krookodile (Level 48) and I changed to Sage. One Grass Knot, and Krookodile was done. He sent out Bisharp (Level 48) and I changed to Bo (Level 56). One Flamethrower took out Bisharp, though I thought Bisharp was going to be faster. Finally came out Liepard (Level 48) and I kept Bo. Liepard was able to use Fake Out, and Bo used Brick Break, which brought down Liepard, beating Grimsley.
caitlin.png
Elite Four #3-Caitlin
Caitlin is a Psychic Type Specialist. I had Tula to start against her Reuniclus (Level 48). Two Signal Beams from Tula against one Psychic from Reuniclus, and Reuniclus fainted, though Tula had cumulative damage from the few fights Tula fought. I kept out Tula against Sigilyph (Level 48), and I healed up Tula, leaving it open to an Air Slash. Tula held on with a Discharge. Next for Caitlin was her Gothitelle (Level 50) and I changed to Musha (Level 56). They exchanged Shadow Ball, and Musha came out on top. Finally was her Musharna (Level 48) and I kept out Musha. The two Musharna battled, and Musha won, beating Caitlin.
Marshal.jpg
Elite Four #4-Marshal
Marshal is a Fighting Type Specialist. I had Musha out for the whole fight, though I thought I might have to use Brav, and I had it at the ready. Marshal opened with Throh (Level 48) who fell easily to Musha. Mienshao (Level 50) was OHKOed by Musha. Sawk (Level 48) kept using Stone Edge, but Musha beat down Sawk eventually. Finally, Conkeldurr (Level 48) fell in an OHKO by Musha. This beat Marshal.

I took the elevator in the statue down to a location to face the Champion. Hopefully, Alder beat N, since I know N was coming here. In the next Log, we will go to the Champion's Room, and see what is going on there. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #49-Team Plasma's Castle
151px-Black_2_White_2_N.png
I headed to the Champion's castle, ready to see Alder, only to see him and N, apparently after their battle. N had actually beaten Alder! Being victorious, N summoned his castle into existence, which appeared behind the Pokemon League! I charged into the castle, checking it out and gathering a few items.
389px-Black_2_White_2_Anthea_and_Concordia.png
Eventually, I run into two women who knew N in their youth. They were almost siblings. They healed up the team, which was still weak from the League. I continued to explore, finding the floor that was full of Team Plasma flags, including what was N's childhood room. Ghetsis met with me, encouraging me to battle N.

In the next Log, we will face N and Ghetsis, hoping to eliminate Team Plasma! Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #50-N & Ghetsis
So, as we left the last Log, we were about to go face down N to save Pokemon and the World from Team Plasma. I walked into the room, which was the throne room for N. Watching as N called Reshiram into the castle, it became the question of what I was to do now. Suddenly, the Dark Stone in my bag came out and revealed itself to be Zekrom! I had been carrying Zekrom in my bag the whole time! N asked me to try to catch Zekrom.

644Zekrom_BW_anime.png
This is a required capture to continue on in the story! I had to look up the weaknesses of Zekrom to prepare for this, since there will be rapid-fire battles. In Generation V, Zekrom is 2x weak to Ground, Ice, & Dragon (Generation VI added Fairy). Zekrom is a Dragon & Electric Type. With this in mind, I started with Costa. Costa and Zekrom battled back and forth (thank goodness I had a lot of healing items!) I got Zekrom down to very low health (almost fainted), then threw an Ultra Ball capturing it. Did not nickname it.

Well, I hope your team will be able to win this. What Pokémon will you be replacing for the Legendary?
That is the question. After I thought about it, I DID NOT ADD ZEKROM TO THE TEAM! It was almost disappointed, but I had to think too hard about what team members I would need for the fights ahead, and my Team is very balanced, so it made sense not to add it.

151px-Black_2_White_2_N.png
As soon as I captured Zekrom, I was almost immediately thrown into a battle with N. He opened with Reshiram (Level 52) and I opened with Costa. Reshiram is weak to Ground, Rock, & Dragon, being a Fire & Dragon Type. Thank goodness I opened with Costa. The battle went back and forth, with Costa mainly using Rock Slide. After 2 or 3 Rock Slides, Reshiram fell. Next came Klingklang (Level 50), at least I thought it was. I sent out Bo, which used Flamethrower. Klingklang turned out to be Zoroark (Level 50), and so I changed tactics while Bo got hit by a few Focus Blasts (yes they actually hit!), and Bo used Brick Break, which ended Zoroark. N sent out Vanilluxe (Level 50), and Bo used a single Flamethrower to take it down, but not before it set up Hail. Next for N was Carracosta (Level 50), and I sent out Sage. A single Grass Knot took Carracosta. He then sent out Archeops (Level 50) and I switched to Tula, who only needed one Discharge to refossilize the bird. Last was the real Klingklang (Level 50), which Bo took out in 2 Flamethrowers.
Ghetsis.jpg
After the battle, Ghetsis finally stated that he was using N to take over the world, using N as a puppet. I felt bad for N in this moment. He had been raised by Ghetsis, viewed him as his father, and then Ghetsis was only using him for his own ends. The last battle of the main story was on!

Ghetsis opened with Cofagrigus (Level 52) and I used Costa. Cofagrigus liked to Poison Costa to insane degrees, and I had to keep healing and attacking! Costa kept using Crunch, which eventually took down Cofagrigus, though Costa was Poisoned at the end of it. Next came his Bouffalant (Level 52), and I switched to Bo. Bouffalant kept using Head Charge and Earthquake, but eventually Bo took it down using Brick Break. Next was his Hydreigon (Level 54), which is severely underleveled! How did that happen canonically?! Anyway, Bo was still up to the task, repeatedly using Brick Break against one Surf attack. Hydreigon fell shortly after, and with that, his major threat was done, or so I thought...

Next for Ghetsis was Seismitoad (Level 52), and I changed to Sage, who took it down with a single Grass Knot. Next was Eelekross (Level 52), which was the major threat, mainly because I had no direct answer for it, due to Eelektross having no weaknesses (as of Generation VIII, it STILL DOES NOT!) This thing was tricky, but I felt that I should use Tula against Eelektross, having an Electric Type fight. I had Tula use Signal Beam repeatedly, while Eelektross focused on using Flamethrower. Tula was defeated, and I sent out Sage, though I was concerned, since the electric eel can use Flamethrower (as demonstrated) and Acrobatics. A single Grass Knot finished it off. Now is the time to wrap this battle up. Ghetsis sent out Bisharp (Level 52), and Bo came back out. One Flamethrower ended the fight with Ghetsis.

Alder and Cheren appear to arrest Ghetsis, while N bids his farewell and leaves. N and Ghetsis might be done, but the other Seven Sages are still all over Unova. In the next Log, we will begin hunting them down!

Welcome To The Post Game!

Log #51-Hunting The Sages I
This is the beginning of the Post Game. This is the beginning of the "Sages" Saga.

I woke up in my room after being N and Ghetsis. I met with Looker, who gave me the Super Rod, then asked me to help him to hunt down the remains of the Seven Sages.

1666311214648.png

From Nuvema, I had a few options. I could go to Route 18 or I could go to the Dreamyard. I decided to do the Dreamyard first. At the Dreamyard, I found a staircase down to an underground level. There were a bunch of scientists down there, allowing me to get to Levels 58-59. After I defeated all of them, I was able to find Gorm, who Looker took and arrested. Not sure where I would go next, I looked at the map, noticing that there are two locations near the city of Driftveil, those being Cold Storage or Chargestone Cave. In the next Log, we will go to the Cold Storage for the next member of Team Plasma. Until the next time, we will see you soon!

Log #52-Hunting the Sages II
1666314510915.png

Continuing hunting the Sages, I was in Driftveil City, where I traveled south, into Cold Storage. I had to get through the icy areas, and it took a while. Eventually, I found the open container, finding Zinzolin in the back of the container. I talked to him, and Looker spirited Zinzolin away. This left me in the Cold Storage alone. Now, I am going to go to the Chargestone Cave and the Relic Castle to go for another two Sages. In the next Log, we will do just that. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #53-Hunting the Sages III
Chargestone Cave
Before I headed back to Driftveil to head to Chargestone Cave, I worked to clear out the Nimbasa Stadiums. This allows me to raise my Team quickly, since most of the trainers use Pokemon between Levels 62 and 67. Before I continue my quest to take down the Sages, I train on the Stadiums in Nimbasa and the Triple Battle experts in Opelucid. Training done, I headed to Driftveil, then west to Chargestone Cave. I had to go through a majority of the cave until I ran into Brontius, who was in a totally random location in Chargestone Cave, hanging over a ledge. He had a few Team Plasma grunts protecting him. I had to clear them out, and Looker arrested Brontius. I had to go back the way I came, since I don't have a Pokemon in my Team that has Dig and I didn't have an Escape Rope. It wasn't too bad to get there.

Relic Castle
240px-555Darmanitan.png
Going south from Nimbasa City, I found myself in the desert of Route 4. It took me a little bit due to the desert storms to get to the Relic Castle. I ended up running into Professor Juniper. How was she in the Relic Castle? Bianca wasn't notably there to protect her, so she must have a strong team to protect her. Anyway, she gave me a Rage Candy Bar that could be used to awaken the Darmanitan that surround the Relic Castle. I captured one of the Darmanitan, then headed into the Relic Castle. I had to go into the deepest part of the Castle to find Ryoku and take down a Plasma grunt that was protecting him. Apparently, Ghetsis had a plan to capture Volcarona. Looker took Ryoku away, leaving me at the lowest part of the Relic Castle.

In the next Log, we will be capturing Volcarona, since we are here. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #54-Volcarona
240px-637Volcarona.png
At the basement of the Relic Castle, there is Volcarona. This Volcarona is at Level 70. I was nervous, not sure if my Levels were high enough (I am at Level 63 right now). I started with Brav, which was able to damage Volcarona until Volcarona used Quiver Dance, then Overheat, taking Brav down. I sent out Costa to stall out. I had Costa use Blizzard, which surprisingly froze Volcarona. One Ultra Ball, and Volcarona was mine. Another Legendary down! I traveled back through the castle to find my way out.

In the next Log, we will continue to hunt down another of the Seven Sages on Route 18. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #55-Hunting the Sages IV
Flying from Relic Castle, I arrived at Accumula Town, then headed south to the water. Passing through Route 17 & Route 18, I arrived on a beach. In Log #33, I had arrived here and had explored it somewhat. It took me a while to find the Sage, Rood. Unlike the last two Sages, there were no defenders of him. Looker somehow materialized, being able to capture Rood. There aren't too many of them left. According to the list, the next one is on Route 14, in eastern Unova, which we have not explored yet due to being inaccessible before the events of the League.

The hunt is on hold for now. In the next Log, we will take on Game Freak and the Royal Unova. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #56-Royal Unova
Royal_Unova_BWB2W2.png
This Log was going to be Game Freak & the Royal Unova, but the Game Freak battles are Level 75, and I am at Level 64, so I may do the Game Freak Building later, but I decided to take on the Royal Unova, since the only time you can sail is at night. If you beat down the trainers in a limited number of turns, you can get rewards. It was still fun to do, and I was able to train up a bit. The Royal Unova is a hidden treasure of Castelia City. I didn't go up to the deck (maybe the next time), but it was still a good experience.

In the next Log, we will go into Eastern Unova, starting on Route 11 & Village Bridge! Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #57-Route 11 & Village Bridge
320px-Village_Bridge_Summer_B2W2.png
Route 11 was our first steps onto Eastern Unova. In the original Black & White, there wasn't much here, though I got to be a waiter at the Village Bridge Restaurant. The dominating feature was the Village Bridge, which was only built 200 Years before, a newer build in Unova, an older Region historically. In one of the houses on the far side, you can get healed up, which, after a long trek, was a nice thing. From there, I would continue to Route 12.

In the next Log, we will continue onto Route 12 and eventually arrive at Lacunosa Town. Until the next time, we will see you!

Log #58-Route 12 & Lacunosa Town
Continuing past Village Bridge, we arrived on Route 12. This hilly area has very few trainers and not much to really speak of. This is a bit of a surprise, considering it is so close to Lacunosa Town, which is a relatively large sized town.

646Kyurem_BW_anime.png
Lacunosa Town is a town that is afraid of the Legendary Pokemon Kyurem. In the old days, Kyurem would terrorize the people of the town, with rumors that the dragon still attacks the town. To save themselves, a wall was built to offer protection.

Kyurem's Lair is Giant Chasm, which is northeast of Lacunosa Town. We will be heading there soon, though it may take a bit, since Kyurem is Level 75, and at most we are Level 65, so Kyurem could just OHKO the team without much difficulty.

Leaving Lacunosa Town, I arrived on Route 13, where I delivered mail to a Wingull who messed up while also battling some trainers. There were also a lot of Fishermen on the route. After I cleared them out, my Team had gotten a lot of experience, and there are very few that are still Level 64. In the next Log, we will go to Giant Chasm and see if we can capture Kyurem, the terror of Lacunosa Town. Until the next time, we will see you!

= Writer's Note =
This will be my last post for a few days, as I have a few major battles coming up. Kyurem is Level 75, so to go after it and stand a chance, I need to get to at least Level 70. Most of the rest of the game requires that I be Level 70+ to even be able to fight, much less win, so I will not be posting until I am at Level 70 minimum. As I said, I am at mostly Level 65. Thankfully, Nimbasa City will help with the boosts I need.

Thank you to the fans for your continued support!

Log #59-Giant Chasm
646Kyurem_BW_anime.png
Ok, so I know I said it would be a few days, but I explored the rest of the Region, just to open it up and get my Levels up. I am now at Level 68-69. Before I went after Kyurem, I got some Timer, Dusk, and more Ultra Balls, along with some Escape Ropes. I put Sage in the box, exchanging it for Judo.

This Walkthrough got me through, since there is a lot of fog in the area, and the forested zone is tricky:
It took me 2 tries to get Kyurem. I was able to use Bo to stall out Kyurem, allowing me to Dusk Ball until I caught it. I don't think there are any more Legendaries in Unova.

In the next Log, we will fully explore Undella Town & Undella Bay. Until the next time, we will see you!
