A limited-time distribution of Palafin was announced for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet during the April 14th livestream of the 2023 Pokémon European International Championships in London. This Palafin is based on the one used by Gavin Michaels in the 2023 Pokémon Oceania Regional Championships held on February 17th-19th. This distribution will remain available until April 17th, at 11:59pm (UTC).

Players can receive this gift by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu in Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, and then selecting Mystery Gift, and then Get with Code/Password. Players will then need to enter the code「0C1CV1CT0RGAV1N」at the prompt after the game has connected to the internet. A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required to receive code distributions.
