Mafia USM Ubers Mafia endgame (Town and Genesect victory)

Welcome to my first game in almost three years!

The USM Ubers Metagame is in a state of chaos, with many different opinions with how the tier should change in the future. Should they stay consistent with a minimalist ban list, or ban top threats in order to create a more competitive environment? In the midst of this chaos, a few Pokémon have decided to rise up and centralize the metagame around themselves. Can they be stopped before the integrity of the Ubers metagame is lost forever, or will the metagame suffer an even darker fate?

This is a thirteen player game. Days will be 48 hours, nights will be 24. Phase update time is at 10:00 eastern time. If the phase update time has passed, assume the thread to be locked regardless of whether or not I announce it.
No nameclaiming, ever. Bolding this because I had issues with this in the past. Role claiming is perfectly acceptable, however.
Don't copypaste anything from your role PM, it must be in your own words. Similarly, posting screenshots of your role PM, night results, etc will get you modkilled.
Don't edit your posts for any reason, even to correct minor spelling errors. First offense will get you a +1 vote penalty, second offense will be worth a modkill.
Modkilled players lose regardless of whether or not their faction wins. Don't make a fool out of yourself!
To prove you've read the rules, post a reference to Monty Python in your signup post (don't know one, then you can look one up).
Please try to be active. A minimum of three game related posts are required each day phase. If you don't post enough, it will be a +1 vote penalty the first time and a forced substitution a second time. If you find yourself in a situation where following this might be difficult, contact me privately and we can work something out.
No outside contact outside of host-approved factional chats.
Just because a role (other than your own) is mentioned in a role PM does not necessarily mean that the role is confirmed to be in the game.

Ties will result in a No Lynch, except during LyLo when they will be resolved randomly. Voting for No Lynch is a perfectly valid option.
"pMyLo" = At least one mislynch will cost town the game, "MyLo" any mislynch will cause town to lose, "LyLo" town must lynch scum to continue. All of these will be announced.

As befitting of a game about some of the most powerful Pokémon, it will be role madness. However, this is not a bastard game - everything happens for a reason.

Currently, this game is stuck in purgatory, as we have signups filled but I am not allowed to start the game right now. This game will be stuck until one of the other games ends, which may not happen until a week or more from now. Thus, I have decided against sending Role PMs for the moment, as once these are distributed there will be nothing stopping players from scumhunting, and I believe that it would be ridiculously unfair for scum if there is a full week or more of scumhunting before the game even begins. I am currently working behind the scenes for a solution to this problem, but in the meantime, I apologize for the holdup.

It is November 17, 2017. The Ubers metagame is on the verge of collapse, with everyone bickering over what was or wasn't too broken, too centralizing, or uncompetitive. A few Pokémon were tired of this, so they decided to take matters into their own hands. They decided to first target a Pokémon who has fallen too far from grace to put up much of a fight. In the borderlands seperating OU from UU, a giant genie was confronted by the group. Hoopa-Unbound tried to put up a good fight, but alas, power creep had simply come too far for it to have a chance:

Back when you were released in ORAS, you immediately became a big shot. With huge 160/170 mixed offenses, a great offensive typing, and every coverage move that you need, you quickly proved to be too much for OU to handle and you were banned to Ubers. But something must have happened during the generation shift. Maybe it was all the Fairy-types that were introduced, maybe it was the faster-paced metagame in general, or maybe it was simply power creep, but now you've been demoted and you're barely even holding on to your position in OU. UU has made it very clear that they don't want you either, leaving you in an awkward limbo. How times have changed...

Anyway, you like to cause chaos by moving things across dimensions, thus you are the Host of the game. You win when... actually, you can't win but such is the nature of hosting.

In his last moments, Hoopa-U did the only thing he could think of and transported itself to Ubers so it could warn the others about what was going on. Almost immediately, it was decided that something would happen that had not happened in years - they will finally have a suspect test to remove the problematic Pokémon from the metagame. However, the Ubers metagame was very volatile, and nobody knew who to trust at this point. Could the integrity of the metagame be saved, or will the metagame devolve into an uncompetitive mess?

As the tier became more and more unstable, many suspects were brought up to remove from the tier. Eventually, one of the newer members of the tier was scapegoated for causing the demise of many Pokémon. Immediately realizing the bad situation, it tried to sneak around and hide from the others, but it quickly found itself overwhelmed by the many Pokémon that were attacking it.

It only took two days for this demon to banned from OU, and it's easy to see why. You are in possession of the best STAB combo in the game, with a grand total of zero Pokémon resisting your STABs. When combined with a great Speed tier and deceptively good bulk, this means that you can easily dismantle offensive and defensive teams alike. Your influence was immediately felt in Ubers, with you being the main reason that Arceus-Flying went from "absolute joke" to "actually pretty good" overnight. You also are responsible for the fall of several Pokémon like Lunala, though...

Due to your STABs covering every Pokémon in existence, this gives you the freedom to run some pretty cool tools. You can only use one of each per game though, and only one per night:

Spectral Thief: One of the reasons why you were considered broken, this moves steals the stat boosts of the opposing Pokémon before the attack. If you use this attack as your factional nightkill and the kill succeeds, you will gain any powers that that user has.

Shadow Sneak: This move has priority, allowing you to easily pick off faster threats like Deoxys. If you use this attack as your factional nightkill, it won't be counted as a visit.

Soul-Stealing Seven Star Strike: Your exclusive Z-move, it is an absolute nuke that will even tear tough walls like Toxapex to shreds. If you use this attack as your factional nightkill, It will break through any form of protection, although like all Z-moves, it can only be used once.

Basically, you're the Jack of all Trades, more specifically a 1x Role Thief, 1x Ninja, and 1x Strongman. You are allied with the Mafia and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated.

Everyone rejoiced at the results of the suspect, but the threat was not entirely dead yet, and certain Pokémon were even more determined to bring everything down...

Since the last baddie was a Ghost-type, all of the Ghost-types should be the bad guys right? Such was the logic that followed the next target, but after completely obliterating through its Shadow Shield, it became clear that it may not have been the wisest choice, but by then it was already too late...

When SM first came out, you were the addition that most shook things up (well, discounting Zygarde-Complete, but that is more of a buff to an old Pokémon). Your effectiveness has gone down quite a bit with the introduction of the demon known as Marshadow, but you're still respectably good. A good 137 Special Attack combined with a respectable offensive typing and access to Calm Mind makes you a good wallbreaker, but what really makes you stand out is your ability, Shadow Shield, which halves the damage of attacks if you are at full health. This gives you a free turn to do whatever (unless the opponent has a Pursuit trapper) and thus you will be protected against the first attempt on your life during the night. If your Shadow Shield is broken, you will be alerted.

Basically, you're 1x Bulletproof. You are allied with the Town and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated.

As a result of failing to meet the activity requirement, Dale will receive a +1 vote penalty on D3.

One Pokémon was too impatient at the slow progress, and decided to take things into its own hands. One Ultra Burst later, and one Pokémon was instantly overwhelmed despite the type disadvantage. However, can a god of death truly die?

You very quickly made a splash in the tier as soon as you were introduced, and now, you are better than ever due to your ability to check many annoyances such as Dusk Mane Necrozma and Marshadow. Great offensive and defensive stats combined with a cool movepool means you have a large variety of viable sets, and it's easier to list the types of teams you can't fit on. This set in particular is a much-needed help to teams that struggle with Ultra Necrozma and Mega Gengar, and is quite possibly the only viable user of U-turn in the tier. That move can end up generating a lot of momentum for your team, so you can use it to follow your opponents. Every night, you can PM me U-turn: (user) and you will learn who that player visited. Additionally, you are a death deity, and according to Pokédex lore you will just turn into a cocoon when your lifespan is over. Thus, even if you die, you can still post in-thread, although you won't be able to use your role and will be kicked out of any factional chats that you might be in.

Basically, you're the Tracker, and also a Restless Spirit. You are allied with the Town and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated.

Ereshkigal has been killed. She was Yveltal, the town Tracker and Restless Spirit.

Soon, another Pokémon, one that was even more powerful, came out of hiding, disposed of the attacker, then disappeared again. When they found the body the next morning, they were quite surprised to see who the culprit was...

One of the newest additions to the Ubers metagame. You are so busted that the moment you were revealed, there were already people calling for you to be banned from Ubers (a fate that has only ever befallen one Pokémon). It's not hard to see why, a massive 167 Attack stat with the ability to boost it further means you will overwhelm all but the sturdiest walls, and 129 Speed is enough to outspeed most of the metagame (although you sadly fall one point below Mega Gengar, which is your one Achilles Heel). The main reason that you're so controversial, even to this day, is your ability to appear as Necrozma-Dusk Mane, widely considered to be a healthy addition to the metagame, and thus you can lure its counters (wich aren't your counters) and easily destroy them. Your ability to cause confusion like this means that you will show up as town on any cop checks or similar roles. Additionally, you have very powerful psychic powers. Every night, you can PM me with Photon Geyser: (user) and you will use your psychic powers to figure out that person's role.

Basically, you're the Godfather Rolecop. You are allied with the Mafia and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated or if there is nothing that can stop this from happening.

Unsure of what move to make next, they decided to go after a non-legendary Pokémon for once, one that they're pretty sure was responsible for trapping another Pokémon. Said Pokémon virulently protested, but nobody listened to what it had to say. Did they make a mistake?

As always with the heated nature of mafia games, especially this one with its multiple different and sometimes conflicting community cultures, tensions can run high throughout the game. I'd just like to put a reminder up right now to remind everyone to respect their fellow players throughout the course of the game. Taking issue with a player's gameplay is one thing, but please also remember that every player in this game is a person, so let's avoid unnecessary insults and the like to keep this a friendly and competitive environment.

Remember that there are players of all skill levels in this game and players from many different communities with many different playstyles. While you do not need to respect the playstyle, you need to respect the player. At the end of the day, mafia games are a way to have fun, and I would like to keep the environment of this game positive enough to allow this.

With so many problematic Pokémon eliminated, many thought that they would know peace at last. But to everyone's surprise, when they woke up the next day, it was proven that even the top dog of the metagame stood no chance. Basically every serious team has you in it, and it's not hard to see why: godly stats (including a simply insane 180 base Attack), amazing typing that when combined with your ability gives you only one weakness, and a great movepool (including the essential Stealth Rock). With all of this, it's no surprise that you completely centralize the metagame around you. Due to your widespread recognition and ability to fit on nearly every team, you are the stuff that can form an entire community around you. Every night, you can PM me Centralize: (user) and they will be invited to your private factional chat.

Basically, you're the Neighborizer. You are allied with Town and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated.

The most godly Pokémon, you went and accomplished what no other Pokémon was able to do - get BANNED from Ubers. Just for context, what makes this impressive is that Ubers itself is a banlist, so you were so good that you were banned from a banlist. Your ability to Mega Evolve just by knowing Dragon Ascent, which itself is one of the best attacking moves in the game, allows you to hold an item to further increase your firepower, and simply unstoppable 180 base Attack and Special Attack, plus access to the awesome Dragon Dance, means that you flat-out have no counters.

You were getting tired of being alone in AG, so you have decided to come back to cause some chaos again. However, you'll need a turn to Mega Evolve, so Night 1 you won't be able to do anything (but to make up for that, other users won't be able to target you during that time either). On Night 2 and beyond, you can PM me Dragon Ascent: (user) and that user will die. Additionally, you have a great ability in Delta Stream, which neutralizes one of your weaknesses and lessens another, so you will be able to survive the first attempt on your life diuring the night. You will be alerted when this is broken.

Basically, you are the 1x Bulletproof Serial Killer and forced N1 Commuter. You are independent and win when all other users are dead, even if you are not alive at endgame.

Spiritual Mask Salesman has been lynched and has lost the game. He was Mega Rayquaza, the Serial Killer.

Thus, the metagame would see stability at last.

The creation deity in Pokémon, you are said to have created the universe. You are also quite possibly the most versatile Pokémon that exists, meaning that you find you way into virtually every serious Ubers team. It would be nearly impossible to list all of your viable sets, so for now, here's the classic Extreme Killer:

The main reason for your versatility is your ability, Multitype, which allows you to be any type as long as you have the correct Plate or Z-Crystal. When combined with your huge movepool and well-balanced stats, this means that you can fill basically any role on a team. At one point during the game, you can PM me Wear (user)'s Plate and you will inherit that player's role (but not their alignment). Additionally, said user must be dead in order for you to do this.

Basically, you're the Backup. You are allied with the Town and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated.

These days, you mostly hang on as a Stealth Rock setter with a decent amount of offensive presence, although you suffer with competition from Primal Groudon in that regard. What's more interesting to me though is your powers over time. So every night, you can PM me Roar of Time (user) and you will use your powers over time to find which actions were performed on that user on that night but not who performed them. (As an aside, Roar of Time isn't even a good move on Dialga and I don't care.)

Anyway, you're basically the Voyeur. You are allied with the Town and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated.

When you were first introduced in XY, you were a mediocre Pokémon that was barely better than Flygon. However, come Gen VII, it was time for revenge. You received two amazing buffs that instantly sent you to the top: firstly, the move Thousand Arrows, which has the best coverage of any move, and secondly, Power Construct, an ability that allows you to transform into Zygarde-Complete, a behemoth with a monstrous 216 base HP that, with a bit of investment in its defensive stats, can't even by 1HKO'd from full by a Mega Mewtwo Y Ice Beam. This insane durability means that you will be able to survive one attempt on your life during the night. You will be alerted when this is broken. Also, according to dex lore, you are monitoring those who destroy the ecosystem, so every night you can PM me Check to see if (user) is destroying the ecosystem and you will learn their alignment.

Basically, you're the 1x Bulletproof Cop. You are allied with the Town and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated.

A fairly controversial Pokémon, as its Geomancy sets have been considered very centralizing due to necessitating the existence of multiple Fairy resists on a team. However, here's a less controversial defensive set that I find to be quite underrated:

This set is also known as a "cleric", as it can heal status conditions that its teammates have suffered, making it a great fit for stall, balance, and bulky offense teams. It often is expected to switch into attacks for more frail teammates. Thus, every night, PM me Aromatherapy: (user) and that user will be protected from any kills during that night.

Basically, you're the doctor. You are allied with the Town, and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated.

Over the years, however, you have fallen behind quite a bit compared to your glory days. Despite this, you still have this reputation as an unstoppable behemoth, so any cop checks or similar roles will show you as Mafia.

But that's not all! In an attempt to make you competitively relevant again, in XY you were given two different Mega Stones that can power you up.

Mega Mewtwo Y gives Mewtwo better psychic powers. If you choose this Mega Evolution, then you will have the ability to use a cop check, a tracker check, and a watcher check, however you can only use two of these and you can't use the same ability more than once.

You can Mega Evolve at any point during the game by sending me Hold: Mewtwonite (X or Y). However, you can choose only one Mega Evolution, and once you Mega Evolve, there is no going back. Choose wisely!

Basically, you're the Miller, and depending on how you Mega Evolve, either a 1x Vig or a 2x JOAT Cop/Tracker/Watcher. You are allied with the Town and win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated.

Sloonei has won the game. He was Mega Mewtwo Y, the Town Miller and 2x JOAT.

Despite being Ubers due to being overwhelming in an OU environment, you are actually completely unviable in Ubers and virtually never seen on a serious team. There are several reasons for this: competition with better Steel types like Magearna and Mega Scizor, an inconsistent damage output, and its unreliability against Xerneas (a Pokémon all Steel types are expected to be able to check). However, the biggest reason why you're simply not effective at all is because of Primal Groudon, a Pokémon that appears on over 90% of teams and can safely switch into any Genesect set. Anyway, you don't really care about this big battle between town and mafia, all you want is to survive to a metagame where you can be viable in. To accomplish this, you need to have Primal Groudon dead by the end of the game (it doesn't matter how Primal Groudon dies as long as it is dead by endgame).

You are Independent and win if you survive to endgame and Primal Groudon doesn't.
