USUM / Let's Go, Pikachu! / Eevee! anime speculation thread

I could see it happening tbh. It will be a new experience for all of them and it is a school setting. It will help remind players that LGPE is coming out soon. I don't see why they can't catch Kanto Pokemon because the gang don't have many Pokemon. Some of them only have 1 or 2 Pokemon.
 
I think Lillie might be getting something from Kanto.
The most likely candidates imo are Clefairy (for obvious reasons) or Eevee.
Hear me out on Eevee- I know Serena had one, and I know its repetitive. But having both the mascots of LGPE interact in the anime on the regular basis would be promotion which they wouldn’t want to pass out on. Besides, Serena's Eevee evolved to promote Sylveon. I can see Lillie's potential Eevee being kept unevolved and possibly dressed up like the games.

Um Then why didnt they catch some pokémon when they where in Kanto? SM/USUM and the animé are full of Kanto pokémon like Jigglypuff.

Like Ilma's Eevee? He wont evolve it because they he cant perform the Eevee Z-move.

Because LGPE wasn't announced back then. They finally have another legitimate reason to catch Kanto Pokemon. Plus when they were in Kanto, they were focusing on Misty and Brock and not catching Pokemon.

Jigglypuff is like a special case- its a character in its own right and will probably never be captured. As for the rest, I doubt they’d want to promote LGPE so early. They were still promoting SM during that period.

Kanto Pokemon can be found in other regions you know...

Agreed - the singing Jigglypuff is an icon of the Pokemon anime like Bewear in the SM anime. If it was caught, it would ruin the long running gag.

I don't know, I think Lillie's Pokemon should evolve because it is all about Pokemon development and character development with her and it will show progression through her Alola journey. That's my view anyway.

Agreed, but SM dont let evolve pokémon quick. Kiawe could easily caught that Rapidash.

One of the major parts of LGPE is that Pikachu/Eevee cannot evolve so if Lillie gets one to promote LGPE I doubt it’d evolve.

Tbh I dont understand why they did go to Kanto in SM 42 and 43 if they make a game out of it now. Wouldnt it be more logical to wait then to do these episodes? And giving Lillie an Eevee after Ilma, Lisa from movie 21 has one too. And I dont see Ash returning to Kant if it isnt for something special.
 
Well...it looks like we might get a Misty and Brock guest stint to show off their new outfits (even those the LG clothes are close to what they have already). Though ya think the Show could let another Kanto GL rock a new look while they're at it.

And I'll bet even money we get costumes for Pikachu/Pikachus in costumes like we got in XY. Probably costumes for Eevee too ;)
 
I could see them partnering with Lillie (Brock) and Lana (Misty) to catch Pokemon. The Alola characters would catch Kanto Pokemon and vice-versa.

Because it was the anime's 20th anniversary and the movie didn't celebrate it nearly enough.

I don't know, Ilima's Eevee certainly won't evolve due to his being a Normal specialist so I don't see why Lillie's Eevee would have to do the same.
Only Umbreon, Glaceon, and Sylveon have really had prominent roles. Yes Zoey had a Leafeon, but it didn't appear as much as Gary and Gladion's Umbreon. It'd be nice to see Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Espeon, or Leafeon get a bigger role in the anime. And we still need to see what's up with her Vulpix, does it not want to evolve period or just not yet? If it stays a Vulpix then it'd just be silly if Lillie can't evolve her Eevee. Though my money would be on Espeon unless there's a new Eeveelution in gen 8 they'd like to show off, it would be a nice counter to Gladion's Umbreon and it doesn't really interfere with the type specialties of the other characters. Plus there is still the matter of Psychium Z, and Lillie will be getting a z-ring at some point.

No matter what though, I definitely think Lillie will catch an Eevee to promote LGPE
Kiawe might get some Kanto Fire types since he's going to be participating in the League and there really isn't any Alola Fire types left they could give him. He already owns Turtonator and Marowak, and Ash owns Torracat. Maybe Arcanine?
Not sure on the other three, but it'd nice if they gave Mallow an Ivysaur. Ivysaur really needs some more screen time, much like her....

I'm interested to see if they'll use just the same Pokémon as in Yellow, or maybe some of their other Kanto 'mons too.

Also, there no excuse for them to not be faced in a Double Battle this time!
