The quickest way to make the games go faster is for more players to join up and play, when the amount of players drops the games really slow down due to inactivity. ;)

The non-pokemon themed games tend to suffer more from this but I though the Star Wars theme would have still been pretty popular overall.
Another cause in this particular game is that the teams are pretty much even in size. So you get extended stalemates with either team really only progressing by a few points at a time.

Indeed, there are two small teams of fairly even size and low activity overall resulting in stalemate.

Cut off times have been preposed in the past where a game would automatically end after a certain amount of time and the leading team being granted the win but introducing such a rule would also mean an end to exciting highly active games that go on for a long time with regular swings of momentum from one side to the other.

Well, as far as I know a cutoff rule could work if done right.

The Dark Side is awesome. It kicks the Light Side's arse and it's definitely my affinity, but yeah yeah yeah Jedi rule and all that.
