The Percentagelocke Challenge is basically a Nuzlocke (regular or hardcore, your choice) with these added rules:

-Each time you obtain a Pokémon, pick a number from 1 to 50 at random. The only exception is your starter, which will always have a number of 25.

-Nickname that Pokémon however you want but you have to put that number at the end of its nickname.

-At the end of every turn, check the HP percentage of your Pokémon, and if it ever goes lower than the number on its nickname, you have to place it forever on your PC once the battle ends (it can still finish the current battle).

Tips:

•In Gen 3 and 4, click "Start" on Double Battles to show the HP in numbers.

•Only calc when you truly need to, the calc that you should do to know the HP percentage is:
[Current HP] ÷ [Max HP] x 100

•I strongly recommend playing easy games since depending on your luck this challenge can become extremely difficult.

For a reminder, the regular Nuzlocke rules are:

-Only catch the first Pokémon of every area

-If a Pokémon faints you have to place it forever on the PC

And the Hardcore Nuzlocke rules are:

-Only catch the first Pokémon of every area

-If a Pokémon faints you have to place it forever on the PC

-You can't use items, held aitems are allowed

-You can't overlevel the next Gym Leader / Champion ace Pokémon

-Play on Set Mode

-You can't use Legendaries / Mythicals

-A white out equals a failed challenge

Attempts:

Pokémon Sapphire Hardcore Percentagelocke: Completed

This was my first test run with these rules, and the results have been very positive! Chimecho winning made this run very special^^

I've taken inspiration from different types of Nuzlockes to create this challenge. However, this one is not a nuzlocke since it does not have the one Pokémon per route rule as I wanted to create a challenge that should be hard even without that rule.

•The challenge starts once you can obtain new Pokémon (besides your starter).

•Once the challenge starts, capture at least one Pokémon before battling the first trainer battle.

•You can only obtain each Pokémon species (including the whole evolution tree) once, the first time that you encounter each Pokémon species (including the whole evolution tree) will be the only time that you can capture them. Once obtained, nickname it with a "Club" name. Only three Pokemon can have the same "Club" name (whether in your party, PC, or in the daycare). You cannot change the nickname of a Pokémon. You cannot release or trade any Pokémon.

•There must always be at least 2 different Clubs in your party (as soon as you can obtain new Pokémon besides your starter). Before starting every trainer battle, pick randomly which Club (that has members on your current party) will be facing that trainer battle. If you started the battle without doing so, pick it before doing any action, if the Pokémon on the field is not on the Club picked, switch it immediately. If you face consecutive battles that don't allow you to rearrange your party members in between them, the same Club will face all of them. During wild battles, Pokémon from different Clubs cannot participate in the same battle, like in trainer battles.

•No Pokemon in your party can share a typing with another one (even from different Clubs). You can capture a Pokémon and break this rule as long as you place it on your PC as soon as possible.

•If a Pokémon faints, take one of its typing at random; you can no longer use in battles any Pokémon that has that typing.

•You must play on Set Mode (on games without this battle style simply click "No" each time that the game asks you if you want to swap your Pokémon after KOing an opposing Pokémon).

•You cannot use any Pokémon that has a higher level than the highest leveled Pokémon that the next major trainer has (Gym Leader, Rival, Evil Team Admin/Boss, etc.), however, it can overlevel mid-battle. For the Elite 4, take the highest level of the Champion, but you cannot overlevel until the Champion battle has started. Your level cap can never get lower, so don't treat as a major trainer battle any battle that would lower your level cap.

•You cannot use in battles Pokémon that have a special category (Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast, Paradox, etc.). You can use Pseudo-legendary Pokémon.

•You cannot use items in battle, held items are allowed.

•You cannot use stat-boosting moves.

•You cannot use a damage calculator.

•You cannot use any Pokémon with the Wonder Guard ability.

The R&F Challenge (Realistic and Fair) is an attempt at making a self-imposed ruleset that would simulate what a real Pokémon trainer would experience in real life, while also making the fights fair between you and your opponent.

-Play in a blindrun: You can't play a game that you have already played or have seen a playthrough or guides of.

-You have a level cap at all times which is equal to the level of the highest leveled Pokémon you encountered in a trainer battle +2. If you can't avoid having overleveled Pokémon because you didn't have the chance to obtain Pokémon with a lower level than your level cap, continue playing normally until you can.

-At the start of each turn in a battle, you have 3 seconds to know what action you or your Pokémon will make and 3 more seconds to actually click on the action (6 seconds in total).

-You can only use the same amount and type of items as your opponent did. Example: My opponent used 2 Hyper Potions; I could use 2 Hyper Potions or if I don't have Hyper Potions I could also use 2 Super Potions. Held items are always allowed.

-If the opposing trainer has 3 or more Pokémon; you cannot use any Pokémon whose slot position in your party is higher than the number of Pokémon the opposing trainer has.
Example: My opponent only has 3 Pokémon and I have a Meganium, a Sceptile, a Serperior and a Torterra in my party in that order. In this battle I could not use Torterra. If it enters the battle via a phasing move, like Roar, I must switch it out immediately.

-Play on Set Mode.

-You cannot use a Pokémon with a special category (Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast, Paradox, etc.) in battles.

-You cannot use any gimmick (O-Power, Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, etc.) unless your opponent used that same gimmick.

Hardcore R&F Challenge

Same rules as the standard R&F Challenge but with this added rule:

-If you lose a battle you lose the challenge, unless your opponent sent out a Pokémon which was 4 or more levels above your current level cap.

Those are very interesting! Percentagelocke sounds the hardest since it's very easily ruined by enemy crits and using Pokemon with below average defense is an insta-loss.

True, in my Sapphire playthrough my best Pokémon was Guts Swellow, but a crit vs Archie made him go below 28%, which made me put him forever on the PC :(

(Scovillain and Mariguana from Pokémon Clover, a Pokémon and a Fakémon both Grass and Fire)

The Standard Version of this challenge is more like a treasure hunt than a challenge, if you want a real challenge play the Hardcore Version or the Hardcore+ Version.

Choose a Pokémon game that only has real Pokémon, it will be your Main Game. The main objective of this challenge is to beat the Main Game (your choice if it's beating the Elite 4 or something else).

You cannot use any Pokémon on your Main Game for battle-related purposes unless you obtain a Fakémon in an unofficial game with the exact same typing (The Pokémon and the Fakémon become linked).

Once the Fakémon and the Pokémon are linked, you can hack your Main Game to teach your Pokémon 1 move that the Fakémon has as long as the Base Power (if any) of said move is not higher than the highest Base Power move of your Pokémon +20 (even if the Pokémon wouldn't learn that move legally, however, the move has to exist in the Main Game). You can only do this one time per link. You can link more Fakémon to your Pokémon to teach them more moves.

There are some rules:

-You can only link Fakémon obtained through a blind playthrough, and the blind playthrough must have been done in the current challenge.

Example: If in a previous challenge I have reached the second gym of Pokémon AlteRed, in this challenge I can only link Fakémon that can only be obtained after the 2nd Gym (as long as I didn't know their typings beforehand).

-You can only link a Fakémon outside of a battle, so you cannot link a temporary form change like a fake Mega Evolution for example.

-Alternate fake forms of real Pokémon do count as long as those forms are not temporary. Real Pokémon with no visual change with changed typing do not count. Real Pokémon with only changed appearance do not count (like Moemon).

-The linked Fakémon cannot be neither a starter Pokémon nor its evolutions.

-It does not need to match the order, a Normal/Flying type is the same thing as a Flying/Normal type.

-If you evolve your already linked Pokémon or Fakémon, you don't need to obtain a different Fakémon if it no longer matches the typing.

-Once a Fakémon is linked to a Pokémon, its whole evolution tree is locked and you can no longer link another Fakémon of the same species nor its evolutions / pre evolutions.

-You can play different fan games to search for the Fakémon with the typing you are looking for. You can still link Fakémon obtained in your previous playthroughs of the current challenge.

Same rules as the Standard Version. However, you have to play the Main Game with Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules. You complete the challenge once you beat the Main Game.

The Hardcore Nuzlocke rules for the Main Game will be these ones:

-If you lose a battle you fail the challenge.

-You may only use in battles the first obtainable Pokémon that you see in each area, this includes gift Pokémon, in-game trades, catches, etc. (check the "Met at" information in your Pokémon summary). You can still choose your Starter Pokémon. You can only hatch gifted eggs and they will count towards the location where you have received them (not where they hatched).

-Play with Species and Shiny Clause (but don't shiny hunt).

-Nickname every Pokémon allowed to battle.

-Once a Pokémon faints, you cannot use it in battles anymore.

-You cannot use items in battles, held items are allowed.

-You cannot use in battles Pokémon that have a special category (Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast, Paradox, etc.)

-You cannot use a Pokémon with a higher level than the highest leveled Pokémon of the next major trainer battle (it can finish the battle if it overleveled mid battle). For the Elite 4, take the level of the Champion's ace.

-Play in Set Mode.

Same rules as the Standard Version. However, you have to play the Main Game with Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules while the blind playthroughs will be played with special rules.

The blind playthroughs of unofficial games have to be played with these following rules (they are not Nuzlockes rules, unlike the Main Game which has to be played with Hardcore Nuzlocke rules):

-You can obtain more than 1 Pokémon per route. However, you can only obtain each Pokémon species (including the whole evolution tree) once, the first time that you encounter each Pokémon species (including the whole evolution tree) will be the only time that you can capture them.

-You have a level cap at all times, which is set by the highest level a Pokémon owned by an opposing trainer had +2 (the level cap updates at the end of the battle, not mid-battle. The level cap can never get lower). Every battle in which the opposing trainer has not sent out a Pokémon with a higher level than your current level cap is considered an "official battle".

-If you lose an official battle, the challenge ends.

-If a Pokémon faints during an official battle, take one of its types at random; that type obtains 1 warning. If a type obtains 3 warnings it becomes banned and you can no longer use in trainer battles any Pokémon that shares that typing for the whole challenge (this includes the rest of the current battle as well as the rest of this playthrough and the following playthroughs), also unlink any Fakémon that was currently linked with that typing and you cannot link any Fakémon with that typing ever again during this challenge. Your Pokémon cannot purposely change to a banned typing in the middle of a battle (like if it Mega Evolves or Terastallizes) (if the Water Type is banned and an opposing Pokémon uses Soak, that is fine).

-You can't use Pokémon with custom types (like Light, Cosmic, etc.)

-Play on set mode.

-You cannot use items in a battle, held items are allowed.

-You can only link Fakémon after the first Gym Leader (or equivalent) of the unofficial game.

-You can start a new playthrough of a different unofficial game at any point unless you are in the middle of a battle.

Start the challenge by picking a random letter of the alphabet.

Find a game (that has Pokémon Gyms) whose name (in english) starts with that letter (ignore the word "Pokémon"). The game can be unofficial and can be unfinished.

Example: if the random picked letter is a "R", you can play Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Radical Red, etc.

Pick a random number from 1 to 8. Play the game until you obtain the same number of gym badges as the random picked number. If the game has less badges than the random picked number, that is fine.

After you have obtained the required number of gym badges, play a game whose name (in english) starts with the last letter of the game you played (ignore the word "Version"). Then repeat the same process, pick a random number from 1 to 8, obtain the same number of badges as the random picked number and so on.

Example: you played Pokémon Ruby, you can now play Pokémon Yellow.

You cannot play the same game more than once in the same challenge. If you can't find any game with the correct letter the challenge ends.

Try to obtain as many badges as possible!

This Challenge has 4 Modes:

•If a Pokémon faints the challenge ends.

•You cannot use items in battles, held items are allowed.

•You cannot use in battles Pokémon that have a special category (Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast, Paradox, etc.). You can use Pseudo-legendary Pokémon.

•You cannot use in battles a Pokémon with a higher level than the highest leveled Pokémon of the next Gym Leader.

•Play in Set Mode.

•You can only capture the first Pokémon in each area.

•If a Pokémon faints, place it forever on the PC.

•Nickname all your Pokémon (optional).

•You can only capture the first Pokémon in each area.

•If a Pokémon faints, place it forever on the PC.

•Nickname all your Pokémon (optional).

•If you blackout, the challenge ends.

•Play in a blindrun: You can't play a game that you have already played or have seen a playthrough or guides of.

Please don't take this challenge very seriously, it was more of a meme idea at first but I ended up wanting to develop the idea and I'm actually having fun with it in my test run^^

The Ekans & Ladders Challenge is a mix of a Hardcore Nuzlocke and the board game "Snakes and Ladders". The objective of the challenge is to pass through the finish line of the board as many times as possible!

Start the challenge by choosing a Zone List, a Ruleset and if you will be playing on [Loop Mode] or [Random Mode] as well as which game(s) you will be using for the challenge, then place a piece on "START", just before Zone 1.

The different Zone Lists define which rewards or punishments may happen to you during the challenge, the [Standard Zone List] requires the use of a savefile editing tool like PKHeX while the [Regular Zone List] does not require to hack any game. Feel free to make your own Zone Lists!

This challenge has two rulesets: the Type Ban Ruleset and the Deathless Ruleset.

The Loop Mode has a defined order of the games that you will be playing while the Random Mode does not.

Examples:

•[Loop Mode: Emerald] means the challenge will only be played on Emerald, after ending the playthrough it will start over.

•[Loop Mode: Emerald Randomizer] means the challenge will only be played on a randomized version of Emerald, after ending the playthrough it will start over. However, each playthrough will be re-randomized.

•[Loop Mode: Emerald - Fire Red - Y] means the playthrough will start on Emerald, then Fire Red, then Y and then it will go through Emerald again and continue the loop.

•[Random Mode: Diamond - Omega Ruby - Black - Scarlet] means each time a playthrough is started, the game to play will be chosen at random between those 4 games, once finished the next game will once again be chosen randomly from those 4 games.

RULESETS:
The whole challenge will be played with these rules:

•If a Pokémon faints, take one of its types at random: you can no longer use in battles a Pokémon that has that typing for the whole challenge (you cannot even use it in other playthroughs of the same challenge). If you end up in a situation where you are in the middle of a battle and cannot use any Pokemon because their types are banned, the challenge ends.

•You may only use in battles the first obtainable Pokémon that you see in each area, this includes gift Pokémon, in-game trades, catches, etc. (check the "Met at" information in your Pokémon summary). You can still choose your Starter Pokémon. You can only hatch gifted eggs and you have to hatch them in the area that you have received them. You cannot manipulate your encounters by any means.

•Nickname every Pokémon allowed to battle.

•You cannot use items in battles, held items are allowed.

•You cannot use in battles Pokémon that have a special category (Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast, Paradox, etc.). You can use Pseudo-legendary Pokémon.

•You cannot use in battles a Pokémon with a higher level than the highest leveled Pokémon of the next major battle (it can finish the battle if it overleveled mid battle). For the Elite 4, take the level of the Champion's ace. Your level cap can never get lower in the same playthrough (example: the rival uses Pokémon of lower level than the last Gym Leader).

•Play in Set Mode.

•You CAN use a Dupes/Species/Shiny Clause but do not Shiny hunt.

•You cannot use a damage calculator.

•You cannot use a Master Ball.

•You cannot use a Pokémon with the Wonder Guard ability.

Immediately after you defeat a Gym Leader (2 if playing a game with more than 8 Gyms) (set another objective if playing a game without Gym Leaders), roll a die and advance your piece according to the roll, then apply the effect of the Zone that you landed and AFTER THAT see if you landed on the bottom of a ladder or an Ekans' head. If you landed on the bottom of a ladder, place your piece on the Zone that's on top of said ladder but don't apply the effect of that Zone. If you landed on an Ekans' head, place your piece on the Zone that's on said Ekans' tail but don't apply the effect of that Zone.

Remember, the objective is to make as many laps as possible. Example: If I'm currently on Zone 28 and I roll a 6, I will end up in Zone 2 and one lap will be added to my score.

Once you become the champion of the region(s) of the game, start a new playthrough. Set another objective if you are playing a game without an Elite 4.

The whole challenge will be played with these rules:

•If a Pokémon faints, the whole challenge ends.

•You CANNOT use a Dupes/Species/Shiny Clause.

•You cannot use a damage calculator.

•You cannot use a Master Ball.

•You cannot use a Pokémon with the Wonder Guard ability.

You know when people spin a globe and randomly choose where to go for their vacation? Well, this challenge is somewhat similar if you change the globe for the internet and the countries for Pokémon games ^^.

RULES:

Rule 1:

This challenge is divided by rounds and your objective is to obtain as many points as possible.

Rule 2:
Each round is played in a different game (it does not need to be a finished game). To start a round search on the internet for either official or unofficial Pokémon games (fan-games, rom-hacks, etc.).

Once you find three official or unofficial games that you haven't played (or haven't played in at least 15 years), DON'T LOOK FURTHER (this is mandatory), choose one of them and that will be your game for this round, there's no way back, even if you think that you won't like it or that it will be too difficult.

Count paired games as being the same game (example: if you played Pokémon Fire Red 15 years ago you can't play Pokémon Leaf Green)

You can only play 1 official Pokémon game per challenge.

Rule 3:
You have to play every game in a blind run (you cannot intentionally check any gameplays, guides, type charts, evolution methods, use damage calculators, etc. You can however read the main features the author of the game wrote to promote it, you can also read the known bugs/glitches the game has, and you can also take notes as you play the game, not beforehand.)

Rule 4:
You have a level cap at all times which is equal to the level of the highest leveled Pokémon you defeated in a trainer battle in the current round. If you can't avoid having overleveled Pokémon because you didn't have the chance to obtain Pokémon with a lower level than your level cap, continue playing normally until you can, until then, you can't obtain any points.

Rule 5:
An official battle is any trainer battle in which the opponent has at least 3 Pokémon and the level of the first Pokémon the opposing trainer sent out is no higher than your current level cap +2.

During an official battle:
  • You cannot use any Pokémon whose slot position in your party is higher than the number of Pokémon the opposing trainer has. Example: My opponent only has 3 Pokémon and I have a Meganium, a Sceptile, a Serperior and a Torterra in my party in that order. In this battle I could not use Torterra. If it enters the battle via a phasing move, like Roar, I must switch it out immediately.
  • You can use items, but only the same type and quantity that your opponent has already used. Held items are always allowed.
  • Play on Set Mode. If there's not the option, select "No" each time the game asks you if you want to switch your Pokémon after you defeat one of your opponent's Pokémon.
  • You have only 5 seconds every turn to select your move or switch Pokémon. If you take more than 5 seconds don't switch your Pokémon and select the worst move possible in that situation.
  • If you lose the battle, you lose the whole challenge.
  • If one of your Pokémon faints: take its first typing; that typing obtains 1 warning. If a typing obtains 4 warnings it becomes banned and you can no longer use in trainer battles any Pokémon that shares that typing for the whole challenge (this includes the rest of the current battle as well as the rest of this round and the following rounds). If you end up in a situation where you can't use any Pokémon during a trainer battle the whole challenge ends. Your Pokémon can still change to a banned typing in the middle of a battle (like if it Mega Evolves or Terastallizes).

You will obtain points for winning an official battle:
  • 6 points if none of the Pokémon that you used were a higher level than the level of the highest leveled Pokémon of your opponent (at the start of the battle) and your opponent used items while you didn’t.
  • 4 points if none of the Pokémon that you used were a higher level than the level of the highest leveled Pokémon of your opponent (at the start of the battle).
  • 2 points if at least one Pokémon that you used in that battle was a higher level than the level of the highest leveled Pokémon of your opponent (at the start of the battle) and your opponent used items while you didn’t.
  • 1 point if at least one Pokémon that you used in that battle was a higher level than the level of the highest leveled Pokémon of your opponent (at the start of the battle).
  • 0 points if at least one Pokémon that you used in that battle was 5 levels higher than the level of the highest leveled Pokémon of your opponent (at the start of the battle).

Rule 6:
After one of the following things have occurred, you can start the next round whenever you want:
  • You reached the end of the game/beta. The postgame is optional.
  • You have no clue where to go after searching everywhere.
  • The game crashed or glitched in a way that rendered the game or savefile useless.
You must start a new round the moment you obtain 100 or more points in the current round.
Rule 7:
You cannot use any Pokémon whose primary typing is fan-made (Sound type, Cosmic type, Light type, etc.).

If you can't go on with your playthrough because of this rule, you must start a new round and find another game to play.

Rule 8:
You are allowed to cheat as many rare candies as you want (you can’t sell them). You cannot cheat any other way.

You can't soft reset for any reason (like trying to have a starter with better IVs or having another chance at catching a legendary).

You cannot interact with another game in any way (no trading, online functions, etc.).
