We haven't yet transferred all the old images over into their new locations. It doesn't help that each single one of those needs to be added manually...

Nope, sorry. The Arcade we used to use hasn't been updated since 2009, so we went back to the other one (which we used to use years back, and which was most recently updated in late 2010).

Has absolutely nothing to do with the planning, I can assure you. We knew it would take a minimum of 3 days initially (remember, just updating the search index alone took 48 hours, during which we could do nothing else but wait for that script to finish), and it got blown out due to errors which hadn't happened when we'd done the exact same thing on the test forum.

Fair enough, I guess. Although I've seen bigger fora upgrade to vb4 in much less time, more like a matter of hours...

I don't want to be just complaining though, it's done and well

*shrugs* Maybe it could have been done quicker, but you have to consider that it's not like we do this as our full time job either. I have one IRL, many of the other staff who needed to be present have full time obligations as well. Between the size of the database and the amount of functionality we've implemented, it was always going to take time.
