At approximately 6am on June 11, 2006, Noriyuki Uchino crashed his motorcycle in Musashino City and injured his neck. He was taken to hospital, but died due to the severity of his injuries. He was 28 years old.

Noriyuki Uchino is best known to Pocket Monsters anime fans from AG148 (ミズゴロウとモココ!恋の特効薬!? Mizugorou and Mokoko! Wonder Drug of Love!?) as the voice of Ryūta.

My thoughts and prayers will be with him, it is always a tragic loss to lose someone especially so young.

I wonder if he was wearing a helmet at the time. Either way, it's a real shame to die so young.

wow. That's a real shame. Took no notice of his voice in AG 148 but still, a shame. So young too :(

What did Jirachi's seiyuu die of/from? Wasn't he/she just a kid?

鈴木富子 Tomiko Suzuki died of acute heart failure (whatever that may mean - major heart attack?) on the night July 7, 2003, just 12 days before the premiere. Some, of course, take it as a sign, the night of the seventh day of the seventh month.

Yup. July 7th is tanbata, a holiday that celebrates the coming together of two shooting stars. The little paper dealies that hang from Jirachi's head are based on the tanzaku people use to write their wishes on.
