I'd like feedback on the Pair concept.
 
I liked the concept in general, but it's kinda hard when both players are new and are not sure what to do. Maybe you could do the sign-ups as mentor/new player, where a mentor is paired with a newer player, and the two would work together.
@ThatAsianInTheCorner even backed out, leaving me to manage the pair by myself. Before I subbed in, my pair didn't even bother guessing, because I think they didn't know that they could? I subbed in late, though, so I'm not really sure what to say.
 
While the above table details who won, I haven't gone over in what order.
The first pair to get everything correct was Pair 2, Rainbow Cloud and FinalArcadia. Following them, in the order of final guess list submissions, were Tood+DawningWinds, Lone_Garurumon+dawn dusk, prog rocker+MegaPod, HumanDawn+Fatima and Midorikawa+Jinjo.

I will say we didn’t really bother guessing either. I threw I guesses during one round but didn’t really bother after that.

Jinjo and I probably would have won by next round rather than this one honestly if not for the fact thanks to immediate results we could send in one group of attacks and work off of that and then send in the second group, because frankly trying to calculate how best to narrow down and stuff is so complicated sometimes.

I tried as much as I could with the latter, when I first put them together for v7. However, even then, I couldn't fully work it out for some, which is why I decided to allow for OC again. But you know how that went. :p

I think in that case that the pairs definitely work best then, because my moveset sucked so bad. Thank goodness for Jinjos.

Which actually brings me to how the pairs were decided. As usual, the match-ups were decided before player spots were even filled. In order to (try to) have equal chances between the different pairs, I arranged them such that each pair has the exact same number of move Types at their disposal. Trying out 6 and 8, respectively caused problems with it being uneven. 7 seemed the best.
 
Congrats to all the winners! It was a fun game trying out a different setup with the pairs, which I enjoyed. Rotating between pairs, singles (no OC? idk), and the dual-type game or something might be kinda cool to keep things varied, but yeah, I think pairs worked pretty well as a limited OC way to handle the game.

It was a fun game, and I enjoyed the pair concept. I was surprised to see Megapod is really organized, which helped a lot (and was a much better system than the Word table system I used last time).

Congrats everyone, thanks to Max for hosting and thanks to FinalArcadia for being a great teammate :)

Had fun playing the game and liked the pair system, never really been that good at the standard OC game as I tend to gve out too much information and not find out that much but working with someone you know you can trust worked well.
