When I went to Gamestop the other day, to pre-order Diamond and Pearl, the employee said that you have to reserve BOTH games in order to get the stylus holder (I reserved both games, by the way).


He said it like this. If you pre-order one game, you'll only receive one stylus (the Dialga or Palkia stylus depending on which game you get). But, if you reserve both games, you will receive both the styli along with the stylus holder.



Of course, I didn't receive my styli or stylus holder yet, because the Gamestop employee told me I'd receive that stuff when the games are released. ^^o

I wanted to get them now, oh well. XD

I pre-ordered Diamond yesterday, and I wasn't aware of the bonus stylus...

Will I still get one even though the employee at EB Games never mentioned it to me?

Actually, the stylus offer officially ended on Friday. I went to pre-order Battle Revolution and its strategy guide today and they told me that the styli offer was closed (at all stores- EB Games, GameStop, Target, etc.) . I was so happy that I'd preordered mine early!

It looks like the offer is still going on through the online stores, so maybe if you just ask them directly, the store employees will still give the bonuses. I mean there's still quite some time before the games are released.

No You Will Never Get A Stylus Because No One Likes You

We are taking pre-orders, but you can't get the stylus anymore. It's in our system as Pokemon DiNOSTYLUS or PokemonPeNOSTYLUS. I didn't know that, till two days ago, so I wasn't able to warn anybody who came in to pre-order just to get the stylus.

If you pre-ordered at GameStop or EB, keep your receipt to make sure you get your stylus. If you pre-ordered after the stylus was unavailable, we can tell by reading the receipt. (It will say no stylus). Or if you don't have your receipt, make sure that when the employee looks up your reserve, he/she checks the date that you pre-ordered, or looks for the words, "no stylus". If your pre-order does not say, "no stylus" make sure they give you one. I give this advice because I have heard of some GameStops that give pre-order bonuses to those who get there first, regardless of whether or not they pre-ordered at the right time. (Sorry for the long post!)

(It's good to pre-order anyway. We have so many pre-orders, I don't think we'll get extras.)
