What is the weakest Pokémon type?

Surprised nobody mentioned Poison. They were historically only super effective against only 1 element. They do have the 3rd most amount of resistances of any single element. But thing is, we've never had any really powerful Poison typing, except Eternatus, and shortly before that, Naganadel.
 
Ice. Terrible defensive utility and just not offensively good enough to make up for it as it's resisted by Water and Steel (though Freeze-Dry is a good move). Did see some improvement in Gen VIII, mainly as Hidden Power being removed reduced its competition, but it's still not a good type at all, with the only good ones relying on their secondary types (Weavile, Mamoswine) or ridiculous ability (Glalie, G-Darm). Bug at least has the very important U-turn going for it as well as key Fighting and Ground resistances, as well as Steel-Bug and Fire-Bug being good type combinations, though it lost its best asset in Mega Scizor in the generational divide.
