Erika remained silent for a minute before saying, "I'm sorry for acting like that. It's just that I hate feeling helpless, and yet talking about it just made me feel helpless all over again."

Zane smiled when Gwen introduced herself. "I can gladly help with clothes."

Danny stared in disbelief as Nate left Dia and Felix in charge. Both not only new to the school, but to the club. While he himself had actual experience, having helped out once in a while and hung around occasionally because of his sister. Yet Nate had asked the two with zero experience. Dia was more shocking than Felix considering the guy was so spaced out all the time. Grabbing his bad he muttered something about having things to do and left. He wasn't doing anything school related, and since he wasn't in charge of anything he had no excuse which meant having to go home.

Lucina stared at Arty thoughtfully before placing her goggles over her eyes. She first started by dismantling parts of the robot, however afterwards she started reassembling. That was how she worked, repeating the process, calling out attacks from Bella for tools. Her movements were swift and it was hard to believe such a small girl could work so quickly.

Nathan nodded, he could understand what Erika meant. Given the fact that both his half-siblings had much more forceful personalities than his own, he had often felt as if he had relied on them too much as a kid. Which in fact had been one of the reasons he had started school without them upon returning to the states. "You're not helpless though. And deep down I know you know that..." He said quietly to her, sending a reassuring smile her way. "Why don't we get out of here? Go do something fun, you know get our minds off all this club drama." Nathan suggested.

Felix smiled when he saw Erika smiling, happy that his little tune was not completely in vain. However, moments later she left the room, with Nathan getting up to follow her.

"Felix. Dia. You two are in charge. Anything comes up, text me." Nathan said as he left.

"But how are we gonna text..." Felix trailed off, as Nathan had already left. "... without your number?"

Soon, Danny got up and left as well, saying something about things to do. He looked around, seeing that it was only him and Dia in the room. He smiled at Dia's comment on his playing.

"I'm not that good, but thanks." Felix stated. Since it was now quiet again in the club-room, he began to play again, just strumming a simply progression and humming the melody to himself.

Erika's stare still remained on the floor, but as soon as Nathan suggested they leave, she quickly glanced up at him. "We can't leave new people in charge of the club, so I'm not too sure..."

Nathan shrugged. "I told them to text me if anything came up." He said after a moment, still not considering the fact that no one left in the club room had his phone number. "Plus Danny was there and he's kind of experienced right? He knows the general gist of things..." Nathan pointed out with a smile. "They'll be fine." He promised.

"Are you sure?" Erika asked sternly. Her thoughts quickly went back to when she and Nathan had left the club last time. Everything became a disaster, and that was something she most definitely did not want to repeat. Not to mention she wasn't even sure he had the boys' numbers. "Okay, at most we can take a short walk, because to be honest, I really don't trust them to be in charge."

"Wait, Lucina!" said Neil a little excited, putting his hand on Lucina's shoulder to stop her before crouching down and looking at the pile of parts that was the head. Neil grabbed a thick, clear rubber, hollow tube and examined it, his robot eye's aperture closing, magnifying, and focusing as Neil ran his gaze down the length of tube. Neil bent the tube and made a kink in it, at the top of the kink a crack stretched, clearly exposing it. "You're water cooling tube burst, probably cut when installed. It must have gotten components wet." Neil then turned to Lucina and sighed, "I think you're gonna have to disassemble the parts you put together again, we're gonna have to search every piece for water damage."

"Understandable." Nathan said quietly, seeming a little far away. "I do think we both need to clear our heads for a little while though. Otherwise we won't be good leaders should the need arise."

"Yeah..." Erika muttered to herself, shaking her head slightly. "I don't know what overcame me in there. I guess I was just reminded of..." She tried to find the correct words, but she didn't have the heart to bring up her father. "Oh, forget it." She said with a gentle smile. Her eyes looked down the hallway. Turning over to Nathan she added, "We can just quickly walk around these halls." With these words, Erika began to walk.

Danny instead of heading right home stopped by the art branch, peeking in a room to see Zima working with Robin on something. Not really caring he entered and walked up to the two. "Could I talk to my sister alone for a moment?" he asked Robin. The older boy nodded leaving the two alone.

"What's up? Why aren't you at the club?" Zima asked him concerned.

"Well Jordan left me, Nate, Erika, and two of the new ones there. Then Nate and Erika left, leaving the new guys in charge. I figured with nothing to do it might be best to head home. Mom doesn't know I joined, and she put that dumb rule in place. You know she'll question me, and I rather not incur her wrath. Not sure how to explain to Jordan though..."

"I'll do it. You just go home before mom says anything. Honestly Nate and Erika shouldn't have left. Why did they?"

"Erika was upset, Nate followed."

Zima sighed. Of course he would. And the idiot had left the ones with no experience in charge. If he had left Danny in charge then he could have avoided their hell hole of a home longer, but now he had no excuse. Not to mention he could not lie. He sucked at it, especially when it concerned his mother. "Hurry home. I rather not see bruises on you when I finish up."

With a nod he left, sending Robin back inside. "Everything okay?" Robin asked her gently. Zima gave a reassuring smile, before suggesting they continue their work.

"It's not that...well not entirely. AI is complicated and the fact that water can get to it anyways just mean its not built right. Though AI is more complicated than that. I had similar problems with Bella when I first built her. Also I don't need to re take apart anything since it was all fine," Lucina explained, concentrating her attention elsewhere on the machine. The system was different from Bella, simpler, making the task easier, if not for the water problems.

Nathan sighed. He understood what she meant, even if she couldn't say it. After all, he had been there (with his mother, not his father). And he could certainly relate to the fact that she had some conflicting feelings about her father, given the fact that Nathan was the same way about his own dad (which could easily be expressed by the fact that he had half-siblings). "I know Erika." He said softly, not going into it further.

"We'll help you guys out anyway," Riley pointed out before looking towards the rest of the group, giving them a look that just told them to start going to work. "We can't let you guys do everything after all."

"I think that works too Jeremy," Jordan nodded his head in agreement as he looked at Gwen. "Will you need anything else?' he asked curiously.

"Well, I do want to have some music for my show actually," Gwen beamed with excitement as she looked around at the group, almost as if she was looking for someone. "I heard you guys have a really good guitarist, I heard him play back at the fireworks festival at the start of the year and when he played for his girlfriend at the end of the semester," she pointed out bluntly before nodding her head sagely. "It thought it was pretty good."

"Well, I guess I could call Nate over as well," Jordan said while scratching his chin.

"Wouldn't that leave Alice, Felix and Dia in charge though?' Anna asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't worry, I don't think anymore requests will come in," Jordan replied with a reassuring smile. "As long as we solve this we should be good."

With that he took out his phone and began texting Nate in order to tell them to head towards the Eastern Fountain.

***

"It's really soothing actually," Dia nodded his head before taking out his bag of cookies and grabbing one to bite onto. "You know, I actually don't mind staying behind," he said while looking up at the roof. "I mean, there'll be something I can do eventually after all right?"

Nathan sighed when he saw Jordan's text. The only reason he had even gone to check his phone was because he thought it was Dia or Felix texting him for help (yes, Nate is so preoccupied that he doesn't realize neither of them has his number. Still). Seeing it was Jordan asking him to head to the fountain, he guessed as to what he was needed for. "Damn." He muttered softly, looking at Erika. "Jordan needs us. Eastern fountain." He told her with a frown.

After a quick detour to his car (so Nathan could get his acoustic guitar, electric guitar and amp), Nathan and Erika met them at the fountain. "What's up?" He asked them.

"Ah, okay." Erika followed him with no complaint, quite happy he didn't push the issue with her father further. Upon arriving, she simply waved to the people already there. Zane quickly noted their appearance and waited for more information in what to do.

Will's expression was rather bored, and you could tell it based on the look of disinterest plastered on his delicate features.

Here I thought that we'd be working on tasks that would be more intriguing then some magic show... He thought. Oh well, I suppose there are worse requests that I could be placed in. Maybe If I'm lucky, they'll just leave me out, so I can go and read to pass the time.

"While water won't be the direct cause of AI malfunction, it could the indirect cause," said Neil looking at Lucina's robot Bella curiously. "You of all people know that AI isn't just magically in a robot. I mean AI's are contained by computer chips and those can easily be compromised with water causing disruptions in it's functions." Neil then paused realizing his words could be misconstrued as him saying she was wrong. " But it's probably like you say it is though, so we should probably check the source code for the AI," said Neil. "Since you're the one who is well versed maybe you should run over the AI program and search for problems. I can take over looking for any simple mechanical failures, after all I built an eye and an arm," said Neil with a laugh.

"All right then while we wait, I think it shouldn't be so hard for you guys since I already have a set, I just need to prep it up," Gwen pointed out while scratching her chin in thought. She then looked over at Jordan for a moment. "You seem serious."

"Uh...no I'm good," Jordan nodded his head while chuckling nervously, mostly from being called out like that. He had to admit that he did feel a bit worried, it seemed like the tension the group had managed to mostly get rid of before was starting to come back.

Gwen then turned to look over at Will. "And you just look bitter," she pointed out with a frown. "Lighten up, magic's supposed to be fun!" she exclaimed out. She then looked over towards Sophie and Zane. "If you guys are going to be designing the clothes and all then um...I want some that's kind of classical of magic shows but edgy and new at the same time, something innovative."

***

"I think that works," Riley nodded his head in agreement with Neil's statement.

Dia got up from where he was sitting and began walking around the room, taking it as a chance to look around. "They have a lot of games here though, wanna play some?" he said towards Felix before taking out one of the DVDs in the shelf.

Zane looked at Gwen for a second before saying, "You mean to tell me that you don't have a costume for Sophie and I to alter?" He began to pull a small sketchbook out of his bag. "I mean, I guess it's fine if you don't, but we'll need to get a few supplies from the building and quickly make an outfit for you." He held out his sketchbook to Sophie. "Can you do me a favor and work on some designs while I get the fabrics? Promise I'll be back quickly to help."

Erika nodded her head in response. "Let us know if you need any help with that prep." She was somewhat confused by Jordan's uncertain response, but she decided not to say anything.

"Erika, could you do me a favor?" Nathan asked her quietly. "Can you go back to the club room and get Felix? And tell him to bring his guitar." He smiled, an idea was forming.

"Sure thing Zane." Sophie said with a smile as she took the book and quickly got to work. She would make three or four designs before talking them over with Zane.
