"Good," Dia smiled, glad that Danny had liked the cookie he made. "I always make a fresh batch actually," he replied before grabbing another cooking and giving it to Anna. "It was my own way to make friends back when I was a kid."

"I know that," Jordan sighed, knowing that Zane had a point in that allowing himself to be jealous would just cause more problems. "But she's just...too important, I don't want to lose her you know," he replied with a sigh.

Lucina was confused. Zane congratulated her on getting Jordan to admit he likes Zima. Don't friends always like each other? "If she is so important then why don't you tell her that?"

"True. Confessing gets rid of a lot of issues." Zane added onto Lucina's comment, slightly impressed by her knowledge of romance. No truly understanding the true meaning of her question, he added, "Either she likes you or not. Though, you need a really hot outfit if you're even gonna consider that."

Jordan thought about that for a moment before sighing. "I'd rather not cause such problems either," he said before looking over to Zima for a moment.

Tuesday January 31st

It was breakfast time and Jordan was sitting with both Luke and Alicia, the latter eating a pair of pancakes happily as she cuddled next to look, who was actually blushing from her doing such a thing in public.

"It's so weird how her personality changes," Jordan pointed out with a bit of boredom while eating a chicken wrap.

"Yeah she can be quite different," Luke chuckled while adjusting his glasses. "Oh, I actually wanted to ask you for help with something," he pointed out as he looked at his friend. "Today is the Art and Design's comic book contest, I applied for the contest and well, I've worked on my own story of sorts but I still need some help finishing up."

Jordan raised an eyebrow in curiosity, mostly because he wasn't used to Luke asking help from him. "So you want me to help you out."

"Yeah, you can count it as a request if you want," Luke nodded his head before putting his hands together in a beggin fashion. "I can teach you the basics of it."

"Sure, I don't mind, when's the contest?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

"The contest it's at 3 so we can work on it during lunch and after school but before it starts."

"Well I'm done with my interviews. Thank you very much, and Dia, thank you for the cookie, it was delicious. Robin shall we go?"Robin nodded rising from his seat to follow Aphrodite. Right before she left she gave Dia the hug he wanted and then the two were gone.

Tuesday happened to be the day when the newspaper came out. And with this edition came the article on the club.

Club of the Week: The Assist Club

The Assist Club, a club that takes on requests of help and helps the one making the request. The club formed just last year starting with four members; Jordan Laguna, Zima Midorikawa, Nathan Asher, and Melissa Harrison. Later that same year, Jeremy Dupont and Erika Shen joined the first four in the club. There first year was successful without any issues, but then again, their real work did not start until this year. At the beginning of this year Alice Dahlia and Neil Kurtsmen joined the club in their adventures, and the clubs first failure. They had quite a few challenging moments the most challenging being the beauty pageant. However I would not say this was their fault. As I said in my article immediately after pageant, the one at fault was the one hosting due to her inability to host one properly or actually keep with it even when it got bad.

However I will not go off on another tangent. Currently Melissa Harrison is in Australia and now the club has been joined by Anna Laguna (the younger sister of the club’s leader Jordan), Danny Boy Midorikawa (the younger brother of Zima, member of the club), Sophie Dalton (half-sister to Nathan Asher, member of the club), William Vermillion, Lucina Fuhgeddaboudit, Zane Barton, Dia Clover, and Felix Matthias.

This year the club has made themselves much more prominent with tasks ranging from taking care of school opening activities, to starring in a movie. They have performed exceptionally well, and thus I decided to interview the current members. I must say it was interesting to hear how some were quite similar in their opinions, and others so different. I will out some of the opinions though I will not state who said some of them. Before the personal questions however I will talk about the main ones that were done to the whole group. While they were directed at the group’s leader Jordan, they were never intended as private.

I asked him the following questions: How did you come up with the idea of the assist club? How did it get its start? Who were the original members? What do you hope to accomplish? Do you think it would affect anything if the club did not exist? What are your future plans for the club?

I stated before that the original members were Melissa, Zima, Jordan, and Nathan. He formed the club last year with some help from the previous student council president Christian. Their first request was helping a shut in named Xavier who was being bullied. Jordan informed me it was a tough one and that the members almost gave up, but they persevered through and completed it. Since then they have done so for every request thrown at them. For accomplishments he hopes to display the group as trustworthy so when someone is in need of someone to trust, the club will be there for them. He then stated himself that he knows the club is not considered important, and that he has no idea as to how things would be different without it, but he also stated that he wishes for it to be memorable and important.

The truly wonderful story of this part of the interview however is the story of how he was inspired to form the club. Back when I was a freshman, I along with other in my grade, were always getting into trouble. Anytime that happened, an upperclassman named Adriana Laguna would help us out. Adriana was the older sister of Jordan. I know from personal experience how kind she was, and I also remember the cross necklace she always wore. Not only I, but others that knew her even a bit, immediately could tell that something had happened to her when we first saw the necklace on Jordan. Thus it was no shock to hear him announce that the graduate had passed. Adriana was a well-known student for not only being an ace of the Sports branch, but also a Seven Star. So to those who did not have an idea of her death, I assume this is a shock to you. However she has left her mark by inspiring her brother to start the club. I cannot summarize Jordan’s words on this matter so here I will quote exactly what he said: "Adri believed in helping others regardless of reason, she wanted to help people that needed help and was willing to do anything for that goal, at first me and Anna thought it was silly but I realized that Adriana's dream wasn't to become popular or important, she just wanted to make others happy. So I founded the club in her honor and I vowed on this pendant that I would make this club something she could be proud of. Everything I'm doing I do it for her and for what she believed in...and for what I believe in as well.”

The whole speech was quite moving, and I admit that I felt sadness for him, and pain at forcing him to go through such pain. However his reasons for the club are so much more than we thought and they are truly inspirational.

After that I questioned the members individually. The first question was: Who are you closest to in the club excluding siblings? Many of the new members were unable to answer this, having not had the chance to get to know each other. However those who did answer tended to match up. Zima and Jordan stated each other, Erika stated her boyfriend Nathan, who I did not receive an answer from due to the boy being missing, though I have no doubt he would have said Erika. I found it quite ironic that Danny and Anna said each other for closest, just like their older siblings had said each other. It was quite shocking to hear that Neil is not particularly close to anyone, and I was unable to interview Jeremy since he refused to, and Alice like Nathan was not at the club. Out of the new members, three, if one excludes the younger siblings, gave a name for someone they were close to. Sophie stated Erika due to the girl dating her brother, Will stated Jordan just for allowing him to be in the club, and Felix said Anna due to them being in the same branch. While the first and second are understandable, the third makes me wonder if Anna will be breaking some hearts in the club.

The next questions I asked were: Is there anyone you don't like in the club? Any members that you feel do not contribute to the club? Any members you feel should not be in the club? While some did admit to not liking some of the other members, no one thought that someone doesn’t contribute or not belong in the club. It was quite admirable that such a thing would come about in a club with so many different students.

My question that followed those was: Any improvements you think could help the club? While some answers were about organization, and one was a method to possibly improve relationships. One was just ridiculous. A member complained about drama. You’re shoving students from different branches into one club, then of course there is bound to be drama. It’s high school period so drama is going to happen. I am actually surprised the club doesn’t have more drama, and that people who are like night and day such as Zima and Jordan, can get along so well. The club truly shows unity even with the fighting between members. It takes a lot to complete tasks with someone you don’t like or get along with. I loved Jordan’s response of feeling that the club could improve by him improving his leadership skills, which leads right into my next and final question.

What are your thoughts on each member of the club?
I loved some of the answers to this. Many had similar opinion so I’ll give general consensus and little bits that were juicy.

Jordan-Many called him a great leader, though some stated he could improve, and one person in particular feels he needs to not be afraid to lean on others.

Zima-Many seem to like her. She apparently has a good personality, and is a great help to Jordan, being able to take charge and get what she wants. That answers why the guys have dressed up and personally I find that she got them to do that to be amazing. Men should definitely cross-dress more. One person’s comment on her and Jordan truly made me smile: "Jordan seems like a cool leader, but that Zima girl seems to really be running the show.”

Nathan-He is broody. It is apparent to several that he has baggage that he lets bother him constantly, and thus ruin his current life.

Jeremy-So several have stated him as dislikable. He apparently ruins others enjoyment, and lacks some respect. However he does his job, so at least he has that going for him. While I am in the same branch as Jeremy, I have not had much experience with him, so unfortunately I cannot comment on him personally.

Neil-He was described as nice, and well coming off in the wrong way. However through my interview with him I felt that he was a nice person, and he admitted to his mistakes.

Alice-Described as nice and a hard worker.

Erika-Like some others she was described as nice and fun.

Anna-She was described as fun, nice, mischievous, and my favorite of all, a heartbreaker. I noticed it along with others, but it seems Anna has multiple guys chasing after her, in just the club. I don’t even want to imagine outside of it.

Danny-Was another described as nice, smart, and fun. I know him from my branch and must say that I have seen some of this side of him during the few times we have met. However through some of the interviews I got the impression of a darker more serious side to him that is rarely seen.

Dia-Described as nice, funny, good at making cookies, an airhead, and good with kids. Though my favorite was this comment: “Dia is kinda stalkerish and a major glutton but he's okay.” On a side note he did offer me a cookie, and I must say it was quite delicious.

Lucina
-Another described as fun, and smart, as well as a future hard worker, though one in particular said she was familiar to them. Considering her unique appearance I don’t see how one could forget her at all. Again I had a favorite comment: “Then there's Lucina, I don't know her well enough, but I give her major props for wearing what she wants." I assume the comment was in response to Zane’s tendencies to try to get others to be fashionable.

Zane-Oh Zane so many ways to describe him. Kind. Passionate. Annoying. Interesting. Good meaning. It was quite interesting to hear some complain about him trying to make them fashionable.

Will-He apparently has manner issues, is precocious, and is pretentious. Some said he can be annoying at times. I find the large word choice for him to be ironic considering his own vocabulary.

Sophie-Apparently scare and mischievous as well as fun. I have a feeling that she with Anna and Zima will drive the boys crazy in the club. She seems to care for her brother Nate, however personally that seems hard to believe when she apparently doesn’t try to bring him to school.

Felix-He’s whiny and I can confirm that. That was pretty much what everyone said. This comment in particular was my favorite: “Oh right Felix seems to be lacking some...stones.”

With that I say the Assist Club is quite amazing and I believe that it will most definitely help the school in the long run. If you need help then I suggest definitely going to them because they will get it done, and you will enjoy watching their antics and methods to doing so.

Sophie was sitting alone in the cafeteria sipping on an espresso as she read the article that came out in the school paper that morning. She was curious about what people were saying about each other. Not really caring too much about the club history, she skimmed through that part, picking up a few minor tidbits that might be useful later on. She eventually reached the opinions section. Even if she wouldn't want to admit it, she quietly chuckled at the characterization of Nathan. He did brood way too much and it was his past baggage that had led him to go missing in action... She'd finally talked to him for just a few moments... was nice to hear from him and be sure he was alive. What he didn't tell her however was where he was. All he said was that he was living the dream, playing his music for whomever would listen in a place where no one would know who he was. Sophie had been happy for him at that, that was what he always wanted. To be able to play and for his gifts to be appreciated, but at the same time to be a ghost when he wanted to be, to not have to deal with the darker side of celebrity.

And then she read her part. The first bits seemed accurate. Sophie wondered who considered her scary, but it seemed to be a term of respect rather than fear. And she was definitely driving the boys crazy with help of Zima and Anna. And then she read the last sentence and hissed at the accusation she didn't care for her brother since he wasn't in school. Of all the things that would make people think she didn't look out for her brother. The boy didn't need school, he had a place at any university in the world waiting for him... that's assuming of course he would even go. Not only that, it was as if they thought she controlled her brother or knew where he was. Hell, Sophie didn't even know what continent he was on. He could be in Tokyo, he could be in Madrid, Barcelona or London... hell he could even be in Rio. She shook her head in an annoyed fashion. Next time she saw that girl... Sophie planned on making her regret that accusation.

"Flight 372 to Sydney will be landing in ten minutes." Nate had slept through most of the flight, having not slept for much of the past four days. And he actually slept through the announcement of the impending landing. Sitting in first class had its perks and being able to enjoy a flight of that length in peace was one of them. He hadn't even heard the pilot's announcement, only waking up when one of the flight attendants shook his shoulder gently.

"Mr. Asher sir... we'll be landing shortly." The young brunette said softly and Nathan came to slowly.

"Landing... whuh..." He was clearly quite groggy, to the point he didn't even remember that he was on a plane and he had no idea where he was going. At least he was in first class and at least there was a glass of champagne sitting on the table in front of him. Downing the drink, he gradually came to. The only pressing concern was where he was headed, a question that wouldn't be answered until the plane touched down, the wheels of the massive jet kissing the runway gently.

"Welcome to Sydney." Nathan was caught off guard by this. Sydney. That was a trip one didn't make every day.

"No shit." This was all he could say. Figuring he'd make the best of it he grabbed his guitar case (which was his only bit of luggage) and got off the plane, smiling as he did so. It would be warmer than New York.

"So then..." Lucina rambled, dressed like a pokemon trainer today. She entered the cafeteria with Robin, Aphrodite, and Rafe, the latter looking exhausted. The group of four sat down at a table after grabbing something to eat.

"Come now it can't be that bad," Aphrodite commented.

"You don't have to deal with Sicilia. Sometimes I wish there was someone else for her to bother," Rafe complained.

"By the way did you read my article on the Assist club?" she asked, holding up two copies of the paper. She knew Robin had already seen it due to having helped out, but Rafe and Lucina had yet to.

The two practically ripped them from her hands. "Th-that comment on Felix...you put that..." Lucina stated shocked.

Rafe just started laughing enjoying the article.

Sophie heard their voices when they came in, she recognizing her target from the interviews. She observed that she had company and considered the scenario for a moment. When the queen bee was surrounded by her fanclub, it was not a smart idea for anyone to challenge her. While Sophie had no doubt that she would end up getting the better of a confrontation, she also could admit to herself that the outcome she was looking for would not be nearly as likely to occur when she was outnumbered four to one. She could wait until the numbers thinned to strike or she could attempt to pull her away from the others. And then she noticed that a couple of them were focused in on the article in question. Sophie had noticed the length of the thing. It would take them a few minutes to read it. She had her window, as brief as it was.

Finishing her coffee, Sophie got up from her seat and grabbed her purse and headed over to Aphrodite. Putting on a sweet smile, she slid smoothly into one of the open seats at the table. "I just got done with reading the article you wrote." Her voice oozed manufactured awe at the other girl's writing prowess. "Wonderful work really. However, I did have a couple of minor... questions that I would love to speak to you about." She said softly, putting on the mask of the nervous new girl. "Being new to the school and everything..." A hint of bashful embarrassment at asking such a question. "Would you mind if we talked about it in private?"

Rafe stopped laughing as Sophie approached, looking curiously between her and Aphrodite, confused.

"Hi Sophie," Lucina greeted her.

Realization donned on Rafe's face, while Robin pretended to be busy with his food, and Lucina was oblivious to the issue. "Aphrodite. Why don't you talk to the lovely lady. I can keep your food warm for you if you want, but you really should not delay," he said, noticing the blonde was looking for an out.

She glared at Rafe before getting up. "Alright let's talk privately." She then walked out of the cafeteria to a void of people area of the school.

Dia was reading the article happily as he ate from a BLT that he had made himself. He had to admit that he hadn't expected to hear those types of reason from Jordan, it caused him to respect him a lot more now after hearing his story. "Awww, she liked my cookies," he said to Aphrodite's opinion of himself, though he also felt a bit bad that Erika found him stalkerish, he never wanted to come off as that and just wanted to be friendly to his senior. "Guess that was my fault," he pouted before tkaing another bite from his sandwich.

"Ha, I'm a heartbreaker," Anna smirked while trying to stiffle a laugh as she and some of her friends read the article. Suprisingly enough people hadn't actually asked about her sister, though she figured it was probably because they didn't want to bring any memories that Anna might not like. She didn't expect Jordan to explain Adriana's passing, he didn't go into detail but it was always a subject he didn't want to talk about. "Guess he's growing."

***

"You always know how to write a good article Aphrodite," Tyson walked towards Aphrodite, Rafe, Robin and Lucina, he flicking his hair back as he pocketed his hands. He was wearing a pair of blue jeans along with a figure hugging black shirt and was wearing his star-shaped pendant outside of his shirt. "You did a good job with this, I didn't know you supported this club so much," he pointed out with a smirk. He already had already figured the fact that Adriana had passed away the same way Rafe and Aphrodite did, though he pretty much assumed it once he saw his pendant. "It's sad he decided to create this little club instead of waiting to become a Star though," he sighed as he referred to Jordan. "By the way, Leo wanted you and I to help with the judging for his comic book thing."

***

"This Assist Club seems interesting if I do say so myself," a black haired boy said to himself as he read the newspaper article displayed in front of him, his red eyes gleaming with excitement as he raised the paper up and turned towards the sitting next to him. "Don't you think so Maria?' he asked turning towards a brown haired girl who was digging through her waffles, her violet eyes sparkling a bit as she turned to look a thim.

"Frankly I don't care," she replied with a shrug. 'What does it matter?"

"It just seems interesting, I heard uncle Freed is the one in charge of these guys too," the boy snickered and leaned against his chair. "I think I might've found a way to make my place in this school."

"I don't like when you use that tone Derek."

"Don't worry, I won't try anything...yet," he said before standing up from his seat and pocketing his hand. "But I do plan to do something, something to make this school know my name,' he smiled at the girl, though mischief could be seen in his eyes.

***

"So he ended up transferring here huh?" a man with long black colored hair sat in front of his desk, his crimson eyes looking at the file that had been set up in front of him. He sighed to himself and leaned against his chair. This was Siegfried Vairmourne, the Assist Club's supervisor, though he hadn't had a chance to check on them as often because of how much work he had piled on him since the semester started. "I should probably go check on them, wouldn't want them to get into any trouble."

Both Erika and Faye sat down for breakfast, the two of them having good distance away from the other group at the table. Faye held a plate with a bagel while Erika simply had a bottle of water. Placing her food down, she looked over at Erika. "Did you hear? The article about the Assist Club came out today."

"Oh, really?" Erika asked, sitting across from her friend. "That was fast."

"Yeah!" Faye exclaimed, pulling the paper from her bag. She shoved it in Erika's face. "You were in it too, though they only really mentioned when you joined and that you're Nathan's girlfriend."

"Huh." She said, pushing the article down and out of her way. "Sounds cool." Her mood seemed to drop at the mention of Nathan, though her actual state of mind hasn't been in the best of conditions. Originally normal thoughts were replaced with frantic and concerning worries, Nathan's disappearance still causing her anxiety. If he weren't to come back, he would earn his spot as one of the important people in Erika's life who have yet to return. Even if he let her know that he was fine, there was always that doubt in the back of her mind. She stopped listening to anything Faye was trying to say, eventually beginning to stare at the wrapper on her water bottle.

"Erika!" The teen suddenly jolted up at the mention of her name. She accidentally knocked the water bottle over once her hand jerked it away in surprise. Looking up at Faye, she found the girl glaring at her with the paper still firmly grasped in her hand. "Are you even listening to me?"

"Well..."

"Of course you weren't." Faye sighed, placing the paper down on the table. "I hate seeing you like this. You've been so sad lately. I mean, not just because of Nathan, but just in general."

"You know fully well I've been like this since 7th grade, Faye. Even with the events that have happened this year, I've always been like this." Erika replied, a bored tone in her voice. "Ever since the surgery."

"And the musical..." Faye added. "But, you seriously began cooking due to that. Is it still a major issue with you?"

"Well, I guess not." She replied, rubbing the back of her head. "Though you have to admit, that wasn't exactly a pleasant time for a twelve year old. The only reason why I got past it was because of my mom." Faye remained quiet and picked up the article, handing it to her friend.

"Here. Read this. I think it'll make you feel better." After a moment of thought she added, "And for what it's worth, I think your voice still sounds great."

Taking the paper from her, she weakly smiled. "Thanks. I know you're lying, but still." The two sat in silence as Erika began to read Aphrodite's article about the Assist Club. She found most of it extremely amusing, and a lot of the other members' opinions were similar to her own. A few of her own personal comments were used to describe a few members. She was about to hand it back to Faye before she noticed a lack of her name near the bottom. After scanning the page one last time she exclaimed, "They forgot me!"

"My dear Erika, it is much too hard to forget you and your...clothing." A male voice called out from behind the two girls. "What exactly goes through your mind in the morning? Do you aim for the hobo look?" With these words, Faye quickly turned herself around and smiled. Erika quickly copied this action, glancing down at her outfit. She wore a flannel jacket, white tanktop and torn up jeans. Compared to Faye's white dress, she appeared very sloppy.

"Zane!"

"Zane."

"I think we will do a great job, we as a group have been pulling in the hard yards and I have so many experienced teammates around me that I have a great atmosphere to work within. Personally I feel in a great shape and we and I might add I'm excited for the Championship coming ahead and I just hope to put in a great show." The unfamiliar voice of an Australian talked as she was with a group of girls standing among reporters at Sydney Domestic Airport after trials.

Melissa Harrison was one of the newest young members among the country's Swimming Team and had rapidly became known as someone with a hard working ethic that surpassed a lot of her teammates even though she was nowhere near as talented as most of them. "It's tough when you don't have sponsorship but I guess if you win races and do well, they will come to you." She smiled as she faced up to the cameras. It was something she never thought of as it just struck her on how daunting it was. "I have to work hard to be fully in the national team but I like that challenge, I always liked a challenge as a means to test myself. It is a great goal to actually see if I can get on the team for the Olympics in less than 2 years. Right now the main goal first is America and then Glasgow."

Melissa walked with a few of her teammates before exiting the airport. "I really do find it daunting to talk to the media," She sighed looking at her coach and another of her teammates.

"Don't worry Mel, you handled yourself well. They like you because you ditched the States to work for Australia and that's always a plus with the media," Her teammate smiled putting her arm around the Australian brunette. She could see a familiar blonde male also walking out of the airport with his gear on. "And she's ran off to see him, it is always some cricketer." She laughed.

Melissa ran up to the male and hugged him, "I got in for both teams just by a whisker and some injuries, so we ready to go?" She said to the male as he dumped his gear and her gear in the boot of the taxi.

He smiled at her with his blonde hair and rugged good looks, "Yeah I'm ready to go. They held on for a draw but got first innings points, could have been a lot better. Hey I just need to go get something off my mate, you stay here not like the cameras will chase after us." He ruffled Melissa's hair before he ran off leaving the teen with the taxi driver. He walked alone and found some guy holding a guitar and not very much with sandy blonde hair. "Hey mate you lost or something?" He asked. "Wait I'll be back in a second, someone's got my phone." He ran back to Melissa and told her "Lost guy, come with me and get him a taxi or something...hey mate." He then turned his attention to the taxi driver. "See that guy over there...just drive up there." The taxi driver did exactly that as he drove there.

Melissa shrugged as she followed the blonde male to the sandy blonde male and she looked at the guy and her response was a simple "**** off...."

Madison was reading the paper on the Assist Club while listening to Dana talking about the lack of elevators in shopping centers. "I shouldn't be walking that much with all these clothes I bought. It is so unfair."

Madison smiled and replied with, "You should read this, it is like pretty funny." She smiled tossing the paper to Dana who picked it and pointed at the title.

"Really Maddy...really? I know you are still bitter about the club not fitting with your Batgirl scarf lifestyle but get over it..." She threw the paper back to Madison who caught it before placing it on the table.

"I'm not bitter, I'm just amused that there is so much infighting and politics. Why can't a club be a simple work together like my dad's team?" She asked Dana who shrugged as she was filing her nails. "Who knows maybe if they had a more efficient way of going things like what you told me about that Melissa girl."

"Maddy, no one would dare be a leader of that club. That Jordan kid is doing a fine job, just focus on your sporting life in whatever you do." Dana still looking disinterested, filed her nails while talking to Madison.

"The school doesn't have an ice skating rink, I have to use the mall's one....so annoying skating with children." She sighed while laying her head on the table with her red hair flowing and gently landing on the table. "Total bummer!!!"

For the second time that day, Nate couldn't believe what was happening to him. Standing right in front of him was Melissa. "Can't say I expected this." He said with a grin, his amusement stemming from her reaction to his unexpected arrival to her new home. "Doing a bit of travelling and it turns out that the whole small world thing is quite true." Nathan did realize that this wasn't exactly a full explanation as to what he was doing there, but he didn't want to go into the whole story. "How are ya Mel?" He asked with a smile. "Still living the dream?"

"Well the Assist Club has proved to be quite capable and have helped us out before. Rafe's movie was a success because of them,"Aphrodite shrugged. "Anyways I'll help out... Robin you're in it right?"

"Yeah with Zima. We've been spending weeks on it."

"I look forward to seeing it then," she smiled at the boy before returning towards Sophie. "Let's go somewhere private to talk."

"Care to join us Tyson?" Rafe asked his fellow star. While Aphrodite wore her usual button up, today black, she also wore some jeans and winter boots, her black coat draped on her chair. As usual she wore her glasses with the stars on the sides. Rafe instead wore black jeans, thermal, and sneakers. Likewise he had draped his maroon coat over his chair and as usual he wore a star shaped pin on his left breast.

Once the two of them were in private, Sophie dropped the act, her usually warm eyes turning cold and hard. "Now we can speak plainly with each other." She stated bluntly. "I do apologize for that charade I put on a few moments ago, but it is one of those things that sometimes cannot be avoided..." Sophie trailed off, smiling at Aphrodite now. "But I digress. The reason I asked to speak with you is quite simple." The smile vanished, replaced with a glare. "When you grow up in the environment that I did, you... experience many things that others do not. The relevant one being having to deal with rather... vicious slander in the press. Rumors about my father to be precise." What Sophie did not feel the need to mention was that some of the things she was referring to had actually been true. "Now, even given your appearance... I read your article. You're not dumb. You're a talented writer with a sharp wit." Backhanded compliment followed by a genuine one. Standard tactic.

"However, I want to make something very clear. What you wrote about me not caring about my brother... that is a low blow." Sophie felt no need to beat around the bush any further. "You don't even know me, you don't even know him. What makes you think you can make a judgement like that? And the justification you gave... utter garbage." She chuckled at this. "I talked to Nathan a couple of nights ago and he's having a lot better go of things than I am right now." Sophie commented dryly. "I don't control him, never have... but if I knew where he was, I'd have dragged him back to school myself... if you had cared to check your facts, you'd understand that Nate's just as likely to be in Europe as LA or Seattle." At this she turned away from Aphrodite. "The long and short of it is that I've spent most of my free time at home since he left trying to convince my father to tell me where he is so I could bring him home. But that's not something you'd write in your paper now is it? After all, that's not the sort of thing that brings in readers." The disgust in Sophie's voice was quite apparent.

"I report the truth and truth is if you took good care of him then he would have never left, he wouldn't be bothered by his past constantly, he wouldn't indulge in alcohol and drugs. A good sibling looks to lead their siblings on the right path. Nate is far from the right path right now, and your as much to blame as his own inability," Aphrodite snapped. "Also for the record I don't care how much papers slander your father, because if he is being slandered then he must have actually screwed up more than once, since those who don't aren't slandered."

At this response, Sophie simply laughed. "You continue to wallow in your own ignorance." She said to Aphrodite, equally amused and annoyed at this point. "For someone who claims to be in the media branch you have no idea how it really works, do you?" Sophie asked her rhetorically. "Truth is irrelevant, hell the second half of your article was anonymous gossip... not exactly following proper sourcing protocol are you." Another chuckle. "But I really don't feel like getting into a stylistic debate with you at the moment... arguing such minutiae gives me a headache this early in the morning..." Sophie trailed off, realizing that she was getting off topic a little bit.

"Since you claim to be so interested in the truth, here's a little bit of truth for you. You don't know anything about me, you don't know anything about my brother and you sure as hell don't know anything about my father." It was taking quite a bit of restraint not to shout. "We both know you're going to continue to report rumors and anonymous gossip, which to be fair is all a reporter's job really is... but let me make something very clear. My family's dealt with enough shit from hack reporters and gossip mags over the years. So leave me and my brother out of your games." The point had been made and Sophie turned to walk away from Aphrodite. "I may be new to this school but it doesn't mean I can't bury you should the situation call for it." Icy cold last line said, Sophie casually flipped her amber hair over her shoulder and started to walk away. She was a bit curious as to whether the other girl would stop her or not.

"I understand exactly how the outside world of media works, and I plan on changing that. The latter part of my article was what you and your fellow members of the club said, not gossip. Statements. Nate is a sophomore in high school and drinks like an alcoholic and smokes as well. Erika got him to stop, well he had but now he's missing so no doubt that he is drinking and smoking. Yes you are an amazing sister," Aphrodite called out to Sophie.

Sophie didn't bother responding. Simply amazed at the fact that Nathan drank and smoked was a big deal at all, . And if Aphrodite didn't get the inherent hypocrisy in her statement regarding the media... that was her problem. The important thing was that Sophie had gotten her message across. Unlike Nate, she was no pushover. The rest would sort itself out in time.

Jeremy had been absent for the interviews but arrived at the school the next day, and found Aphrodite's article in the school paper about the Club. He read as he walked to the cafeteria, almost bumping into things as he wasn't watching where he was going. As he neared the cafeteria, Jeremy found Sophie and Aphrodite seemingly involved in a heated argument. Figuring it was best for him to leave them, he simply said, "I like the article Aphrodite" in passing.
