"Ugh, this is really tedious and boring." Zane complained out loud, following the group upstairs. This annoyed Erika, as she really found people who whine annoying.

"Dude, no one cares. Sometimes requests aren't fun. Deal with it." She commented, following them as well.

"Yea, you know you don't have to be in this club if you don't want to help" Jeremy added after Erika.

Neil followed the group upstairs looking around and listening carefully for more frogs. "Maybe if we are quiet we will be able to hear them croaking," said Neil, a bit frustrated with the argument.

Once all four of the judges were done with their readings Leo had them all gather up around a podium. He stroked the back of his head gently as he looked at the other three Stars. "So, thoughts on any stand outs?" he asked with a raised eyebrow in curiosity as he looked at each of them.

Jordan and Luke sighed to themselves as they saw the judges gather. "Well, it's finally time,' he pointed out, noticing that Luke seemed to be a bit stressed about something. "What is it?"

"Oh, nothing really," Luke replied with a nervous laugh before standing up from his chair. "I was just thinking you know...you're not going to get people to be closer to you by pushing them away."

"What do you mean?" Jordan asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Remember in sixth grade when you liked this girl but she liked Jake instead, and then you and Jake got into a fight that you started," Luke pointed out with a serious expression, causing Jordan to chuckle nervously once he remembered the event Luke had mentioned. "Think about that and stop jumping to conclusions and lashing out."

"I don't know what you mean," Jordan turned away and crossed his arms as a light blush appeared on his face. He knew what Luke was talking about though, that he shouldn't have lashed out at Robin and he shouldn't have gotten mad at Zima for hanging out with her friend. He looked down at the floor, his face becoming somber once he realized his mistake. "I just...don't know what to do."

"Don't do anything, just say it," Luke advised. "That's the advise your sister gave me when I went to her about me liking Alicia, basically if you want something you have to get it, just because you're afraid of the consequences isn't a good reason."

Anna led the others downstairs where they saw a couple of frogs hopping around. The frogs seemed to notice their presence, even looking at them as if they were waiting for them to do something. "They're smart frogs it seems," Carla pointed out.

"No frogs are going to outsmart me though," Anna smiled confidently. Only for the frogs to leap forward towards the group, one of them going for Zane specifically.

Zane let out a quiet squeak as soon as the frog came jumping towards him. He was able to dodge it, but not with one of its legs brushing against his face. "No!" He exclaimed, flailing backwards and almost falling over. This came off as extremely melodramatic and only succeeded in making Erika sigh out of annoyance.

Felix came running to the Tech branch of the school. Like an idiot, he had gotten pre-occupied with other things after classes, totally forgetting about that "club" thing that he was a part of. After a bit of asking around, he managed to figure out where they were. He ran into the tech branch building, noticing the other members as they chased the frogs around.

"So I heard you guys have a frog problem," Felix said. "Sorry I'm late. How many have we got so far?"

Lucina doubled over with laughter, unable to contain herself with the frog scene.

"Most of them. We just have what's left here," Danny told Félix, watching as Bella moved from behind the frogs, pouncing one.

"I think Zima & Robin, and then Luke, Will, &Jordan's groups stuck out to me the most," Aphrodite stated.

Anna was able to catch the frog that Zane had dodged, smiling at the fact that she had been able to catch yet another one. 'Wow Zane, don't worry I don't think it'll eat you," Anna laughed before handing the frog to Carla. "Okay, Bella caught one so we just need 3 more."

Leo and Tyson nodded their heads in agreement with Aphrodite. "I liked both of those too, but I do think Zima and Robin did it better, plus they didn't have three people working on it and I think the story was a bit more engaging in just that one issue," Tyson explained while raising his index finger.

"I would agree with you," Leo pointed out for a moment before turning towards the podium. He, much like the others thought that both of the works stood out amongst the rest, mostly because they had people that were already recognized in his eyes. "Art wise I think they're about the same for me, but I think Robin and Zima harness their talents better than Luke and Will did, the story for Luke's group is interesting and it makes you want to know what happens but Zima's and Robin's is great by itself."

"Sounds good to me." Erika commented, beginning to look around for the last three frogs. Meanwhile, Zane just stood still in slight horror from his close encounter with the frog. He just wanted this to end.

"Well then since that's agreed on should we announced the winners?" Aphrodite asked.

``````````````````````````
Lucina finally stopped laughing as she heard a croak on her head. Carefully she moved, grabbing the frog. "Two more left," she stated.
A few minutes later Leo had gotten on top of the podium, causing all of the participants to gather around him as he grabbed a microphone. "All right everyone, you all gave it your best today and the other judges and I were actually amazed at all the great works of art that came out of this competition," he announced, looking around the room for a moment. "However, only one person can be declared the winner and that person is actually two people," a small smile crossed his face. "So without further ado I'd like to announce that the team of Zima Midorikawa and Robin Morgan!"
A few minutes later the group were finally able to catch the remaining frogs, with Anna letting out a sigh of relief as she looked at Carla. "Request cleared!" she announced before giving the group a cheeky grin. "I do wonder where Dia was though."
Sunday February 12th
It had been quite a few days since the comic book competition. Now it was time for yet another competition, though this time the group were invited to participate. Jordan had told everyone in the club about Melissa's own swimming competition that day. Unfortunately it involved a 4 hour trip down to Baltimore, but Mel being a former club member meant that she was at least worth it in his eyes. "Still these kind of things can be really fun actually," Jordan turned to look towards the woman driving. She had long flowing blonde hair and a slightly pale skin with green eyes. "I was surprised you called me."
"Well you have a car so it works," Jordan replied from the seat next to the woman and smiled. "Though really, thanks for helping us out Carly."
"It's okay, it's nice to meet your friends though, well two of them," she said as she pointed towards Danny and Zima in the back of the car. It had taken a bit of work but he had convinced Zima and Danny to come together with him and Anna, mostly because he didn't want to trouble their parents since he knew they would probably refuse. "I actually used to be part of the Arts and Design Branch back when I was in 7 Point," Carly said while smiling at Zima.
"Carly was Adri's girlfriend in high school," Anna stated boldly causing Carly to cough loudly and almost swerve off the road.
"D-Do-Don't say thing so suddenly like that!" she yelled with an expression of shock and shyness. "But...yes," she replied as she turned back to the road.
Jordan just laughed at this before he began looking at the scenery. It was nice to get out of Lago once in a while, plus seeing other towns nearby was always fun, even if the drive was kind of long. "I wonder how many of the others will come, Dia said he wouldn't come because he caught a cold, but he told me to give this to Mel," he pointed out before taking a out a bag of cookies with the words "Good Luck" on them. "He doesn't even know her though." he pointed out as he saw the swimming stadium where the competition would be held come into view.
"It's nice to meet you too," Zima told Carly, Danny nodding in agreement. The two laughed lightly at her reaction to Anna tell them that she was Adri's girlfriend. They were actually lucky that Jordan asked for them to ride with him. Their father was working, their mother wouldn't have taken them if they asked, and their aunt was also working. "Lucina said her father would drive her, so she's coming. She also offered a ride to Will, Erika, and surprisingly Zane. So if they accepted then they'll be arriving with her if they didn't get their own rides."
"And off that subject, that's really cool that you were the arts Seven Star. Zima wants to become the Arts and Design branch star. It's been her dream since she joined the school," Danny embarrassed his sister.
"Danny!" she scolded, earning her a laugh from him.
Considering it had been a few days since Nathan came back, both Al and Faye decided to lay back asking about what happened why it occurred directly after he arrived back. She had broken up with him. Due to the fact it was her decision, there was nothing he could do or say about it. His behavior was completely uncalled for and beyond idiotic. At first she felt quite terrible about it as she definitely still felt feelings for the boy, but as a few days passed by, she knew that she had made the right choice. There was doubt and grief still there for sure, but she felt slightly better than she did back then.
He needed something to kick him back into shape. Who in their right mind thought leaving behind their girlfriend, family, and schoolwork was a good idea? It was hard for Erika to process.
Al's white truck hit a large pot hole in the rode, something that seemed to plague almost every street in the North East. While she was used to it by now, this certain bump happened to snap her out of her thoughts. While people thought she was well and over Nathan, they were very wrong. She quickly glanced around the truck. It was much larger than her father's old car, so the decision of which one to drive was quite simple. It was not too big, but it managed to hold Erika, Faye and Al, who was driving, inside.
Faye decided to come simply out of concern for Erika. Al wasn't exactly the best with handling things like this, and like most people, he was under the impression that she was alright. Though, Faye had yet to tell her reasoning for coming because she fully knew Erika would give her hell for it.
"Oh! Do you want to play a game?" Faye exclaimed from the back seat.
"Not really." Erika replied, reclining back in her seat. A nasty headache was starting to set in from being in the truck for too long. This always happened with her due to its odd odor.
"Fine, fine." Faye said, a false hurt tone in her voice. Erika continued to rest in her chair, only now starting to close her eyes. If there was one thing that made her happy, it was that Zane decided not to go support Mel. He had said he did not know her at all, and that going would be a major waste of time.
The City of Baltimore and a budding young starlet with silky, long chestnut brown hair, blue eyes and standing at 6 foot was smiling to the cameras. It was a long month or so for Melissa Harrison, the swimmer had just been told by her friends to set up a Twitter page. It was okay at first till she reached 870 followers then it felt weird being known yet not known.
She knew after this press conference that it would rise, that and a magazine cover for a sports mag would help. She smiled to the cameras and was prepared to answer a few questions. The first question related to her inexperience and youth.
"Well I do see myself as young but they saw some potential in me and I was given a spot. That's not to say I did not earn it, I did and I know that I can only get better and that I am in the best shape physically and mentally to do well, so I'm ready for a big stage and we just have to see what happens."
The next question related to her program which included the 100m free, 100m butterfly, 200m free, 100m medley relay, 100m free relay and the 200m free relay barring any circumstances.
"Well I know it is a tough program but like I said I think I am in the right place to do well. Is it going to be tough? No doubt about it but I can do this." Melissa smiled trying to sell herself to the press. The next question related to her nationality.
"It is going to be tough, they say even though I'm under the Aussie banner, that this event is kind of a lead in to the draft. Whoever can better support my career I'll go with but I have to show them both first. I know both the US and Australia have great programs but I have to perform and so them. It is tough because I was born in Australia but raised in the US and now living in Australia but we just to see what is beat for my future."
The last question related to social media. "Yeah they call me Wonder Girl and I'm still getting the hang of it. The whole US & Australia thing yeah gets me followers. It is so weird having to tweet about myself you know? It is fun though if once I get fans?" She smiled before the press conference was over.
Melissa walked to the pool and started to talk to team management about a few things. She knew that her parents, Emma and Mindy would come and cheer her on but that's all she knew at the present moment.
"Oh really now?' Carly asked curiously, looking towards the back of the car so she could look at Zima better and smiled. "Well I mean, I wasn't really that amazing," she laughed shyly as she turned back to the road. "Truth is I'm amazed the 7 Stars became a tradition."
"What do you mean?" Jordan asked with a raised eyebrow as he looked towards Carly.
"The 7 Stars were created back when Adriana and I were seniors, we were part of the first ever 7 Stars," Carly explained while displaying a smile of pride in her face. "You see back then there was actually a lot of rivalry between the branches, it could get quite serious since each branch thought they deserved more attention or accomplished more."
"So one day the principal gathered me, Adriana and the other 5 "aces" of the other branches and told us he wanted to create a sort of group of people that could represent the Branch," Jordan just looked at her with curiosity, he hadn't heard this story even from Adriana herself so he was interested. "We met up and talked about the situation in each of the branches, how we could help make them better and solve some of their problems, we even pitched in with the other Branches too, it was our way to make our school better."
Jordan was actually surprised at this, hearing Carly's story he couldn't help but associate the 7 Stars with the Assist Club in a sense, since they were both groups made out of different people from different branches in order to help others, though with some differences. "I think you guys's Assist Club is pretty interesting too though," Carly laughed. "Though I hear from Jordan it can be quite problematic at times."
"On that note, I didn't know you wanted to be a 7 Star Zima," Jordan pointed out as he turned to look at Zima. Ever since the comic book competition the two hadn't talked much, though he was looking for a good way to apologize to her about what had happened. Still, he didn't know that she had that type of dream in mind. "I think it really suits you."
"Maybe you should listen more then," Zima muttered to herself. She was still annoyed bout Jordan joining the comic book competition, and didn't help that he didn't know of her dream. She had told him Freshman year, well not told, rather stated to the class because a teacher had asked them to.
She looked out the window and thought of everything going on. Things had changed so much, and now seemed to be getting worse. At least they would leave behind capable members after thy graduate. She smiled to herself thinking that if Zane chose to hitch a ride with Lucina and come, then it would be quite an entertaining ride. The boy would probably start off sour and arguing with her, and then he would probably start talking fashion with her father, making the girl feel somewhat sour, and probably fearful of a forced make over. The whole idea made her laugh a little.
((Dang Zane ditching out))
"Are we even there yet?" Faye asked from the back. The truck was finally making its way to the bottom of New Jersey and about two hours past since they started the drive. "Because Erika is being a boring flump and I want to know when we'll get there."
"A boring flump? What does that even mean?" Erika asked.
"I don't know, but you're being one."
"About an hour or two left." Al informed the two, checking what the GPS said. "Also, Erika, stop being a flump." He added with a slight smirk. He found Faye's comment amusing and decided to join in on the fun.
"What does that even mean?!" Erika repeated, completely confused by the term.
((I was going to have Zane join them, but I realized he had no legit reason to actually go :p))
