"No it's okay," Derek said before he sat down next to Alice. "I mean, it wouldn't be right to leave a person in distressed right?' he said while giving her a warm smile. He then looked at her better, curiously and if he was trying to figure out something. "Aren't you part of the Assist Club? did something happen?"

OOC: @Bird Jesus; should we just describe how Daisy and Nathan sang or pick an actual song xD

Alice looked away.

"It's stupid..." She said sadly. "Besides, I don't want to bother you with it."

"No it's okay," Derek laughed, looking at Alice before sighing. "Well it's okay if you don't want to say anything," he pointed out before standing up. "I'm going to be creating my own club to help others you see, but while I don't want to turn down the chance to help someone I think that it's also not right to force someone to tell you what's bothering them," he said before smiling at Alice. "My name is Derek by the way."

Daisy and Nathan went out into the stage, causing people to start cheering as the concert began. Their performance was really well received with people clapping and cheering as they listened to the two's duet.

"Well it's good to see that Nathan can perform well at least," Jordan pointed out with a bit of a smile before looking over at Zima. He realized that it probably wasn't okay to feel proud of Nate after what he did to Erika but, well, Nate was still his friend regardless. "I know what he did to Erika was bad and I don't encourage it but at the end of the day I think it's also their issue in a sense," he explained while nodding his head. "Erika and Nate are my friends and they both have done things that have upsetted me but at the end of the day that's still not a reason for me to side with either one."

Alice stared at him, blushing slightly.

"Well." She sighed. "There's this boy. I've always liked him since the moment I saw him... But, he doesn't even notice me."

She then began to break into tears.

"Who could ever love someone as pathetic as I am! I'm so stupid! Why did I think I even stood a chance being the one he loved!"

Nathan had let the performance come to him. At the start he had been a bit more reserved, allowing himself to gradually get into being on stage in front of the school for the first time in months. But by the end of the set, he was completely invested, completely putting himself out there. In fact, when the performance ended Nathan found himself sitting next to Daisy behind the piano while playing his guitar and singing to her over his shoulder. Once they finished, he spun around on the stool to face her properly. "Such energy. Electric." He said quietly to her, barely being heard over the cheers and applause coming from the crowd. "I can see now that I shouldn't have hidden myself from the world." He thought out loud.

As soon as she saw Nathan and Daisy walk out on stage she couldn't believe her eyes. Instead of watching the performance, Erika simply walked away from the crowd and towards a different part of the school. If asked about it, she would comment about not feeling well due to her cold.

Zane patiently watched the performance, surprised at how well Nathan had performed. He knew he played the guitar and such, but only heard about how well he actually sang during the fireworks show from Faye and Erika. This was news to him because he actually never went to the fireworks show. He glanced over at Lucina and commented, "Wow, who knew he sang like that."

Derek looked at Alice for a moment, a grin going over his face before he took out a tissue and handed it to Alice. "Well I guess if he doesn't notice you then there's really no reason to bother is there?" he said while brushing some of his hair back. "I mean normally people would say something like don't give up and keep trying or he doesn't deserve you anyways, but if a person is making you feel miserable about yourself are they really worth the effort at the end of the day?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. "And you shouldn't call yourself pathetic either, you just had a miss but even if you miss you shouldn't doubt yourself or else you're just giving up."

"Yeah, I think you did even better that back during the movie," Diasy pointed out with amazement, surprised that Nathan had been able to make himself comfortable in the stage like he did.

Alice took the tissue and wiped her puffy eyes.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have unloaded like that." She apologized.

Nathan smiled gratefully at Daisy's compliment. "Thanks." He said softly, not managing to stop himself by blushing a bit at her words. "I've been working on stage presence... and by presence I mean being present at all." He joked with a grin before a thought came to him. "Pardon me if I'm being forward... but do you have anything planned after the concert?"

"Well I think it's going great,' Daisy nodded her head before adjusting her glasses and looking at Nate. "You know, you could transfer out into the Performance Arts Branch," she pointed out.

"No it's okay," Derek nodded his head as he looked at Alice. "This boy wouldn't happen to be part of the assist club right?"

Nathan noticed that Daisy hadn't answered his question regarding her plans for the evening but instead had suggested him transferring into Performing Arts. "I think being in three different branches in the same year would set some kind of school record." He joked with a knowing smile. "I'll be honest, I've thought about it lately." He said. "However, I see no reason to leave Sports right now when I'm having no problems being where I am... I think it makes more sense to move over to Performing Arts at the start of next year. Fresh year, fresh start you know?"

"Well I hope you can withstand the sports festival then," Daisy chuckled. She then decided to address Nathan's second question and turned to look at him once more. "Well I don't really have anything planned really today was the last day I had to just enjoy myself since we'll have some work coming in with our vice president coming back tomorrow," she said while nodding her head and stretching. "So I figured I could just let loose a bit."

Nathan didn't seem too stressed about the sports festival. "As long as I can avoid the things I'm terrible at and can stick to the few things I can do well... I'll survive." He paused for a long moment, running his left hand through his hair nervously. "In that case... would you like to grab a bite to eat somewhere after the concert?" Nathan asked her. In the back of his mind, there was a doubt that he was moving on from Erika too quickly, that he should give things more time. But on the other hand, for some reason it felt right to be asking Daisy out on a date.

Daisy narrowed her eyes at Nathan for a moment before crossing her eyes. "I am giving you the benefit of the doubt but I do hope you know that I'm not going to be some sort of rebound, that wouldn't be fair to Erika." She stated sternly. "You're going to have to prove yourself."

"I would just like to point out for the non-existent jury that I did ask you out before Erika..." Nathan murmured before cutting himself off, realizing that he should not push his luck. "Okay, you have a point." He changed his track quite rapidly. "I... I don't mean it like that." He said honestly. While other people would be suspicious of him doing just that, he didn't intend for Daisy to be a rebound. He had been smitten with her since the first time they met and every interaction that the two had since had made him realize that there was a reason he had felt the way he did during their first meeting. "I... I wouldn't do something like that, especially not to you." He muttered. "But I understand. I'll make sure you have no doubt as to my sincerity." Nathan promised.

Sophie had been quite happy with how her brother had performed. She had also noticed his chemistry with the girl he had performed with. "Why do I get the feeling that Nathan's about to do something incredibly foolish?" She asked herself as she listened to the next act.

'Overruled," Daisy commented in regards to Nathan's comment about a nonexistent jury. She then sighed before putting her hands on her hips. "But I guess getting something to eat between friends isn't bad."

Felix simply sat in the audience and applauded the performances. He would have performed himself, hell, he had half a mind to ditch his studies and practice for it, but that would have not ended well at all. He was too busy with school to practice, and he couldn't afford to fall behind. He had been struggling to keep his grades up, pretty much showing up for class and then heading straight home. For a while it seemed like he had dropped off the face of the earth.

Tonight was finally a night where he could enjoy himself. Maybe not as much if he had actually been on stage, but anything that wasn't schoolwork was enjoyable for him now.

"Well Nate did quite well...so what do you say to getting some dinner together before we go our separate ways for the night?" Zima asked Jordan, locking her eyes with his.

`````````````````
"Yeah. I'm surprised he didn't fall off stage drunk," Lucina joked in response to Zane's comment.
"Okay then." Nathan said with a shimmering smile. "Sounds like a plan." He was very careful not to say 'date' because he knew that he would only be digging himself into a further hole if he did so.
Zane let out a loud laugh as soon as he heard Lucina's comment. "I've heard the guy drinks so much that he's shown up drunk to school before." He added with a slight chuckle.
