Perhaps it's subjective then. I'd consider a TV to be a household object.
But you make a fair point about a mobile phone.
It is not subjective, TV was simply a bad example. Think of it this way: objects you think would be located in a normall person's house is a wide category, and household objects are a subcategory; every household object is something you'd think you find in somebody's house, but not everything you'd think you'd normally find in somebody's house is a household object.

... And I would've said credit card is 'so close', but nevermind.
