A little bit farther and we might end up in an Oddworld-like dystopia.
At the very least Galar is already there. Why else do you think are so many Pokemon not allowed in region whose gimmick is cooking? It's not Galar government that forbids them being brought here - it's the other regions that forbid trainers to take certain species there for their own good.

I prefer the alternate timeline where I didn't get that joke.
I was going to make it a Terminator reference originally, but I decided to go for the lesser known one. I also forgot that Soulstorm exists, making things way darker than intended.

Many Pokemon from Unova were brought from Galar and the two brothers were the descendants of the two kings from Galar. Seeing how the sons of two brothers became ashamed of the destruction by resuming the war, they went to Galar and stayed there ever since.

The title of "Pokémon Master" is bestowed upon those possessing two main attributes:
  1. The ability to form meaningful bonds of friendship with any Pokémon.
  2. The ability to raise any Pokémon to its maximum potential without resorting to cruel or unethical methods.
The notion that one must catch one of every Pokémon in the world, become a League Champion, or something of that sort originated with those who either do not possess or do not understand these qualities.

So Ash could conceivably be called a Pokemon Master, he's just too idiotic to realize it?

I actually prefer this over the vague definition that the anime has (had?).

This is an extremely minor and ultimately inconsequential headcanon but:

Lusamine, Lillie, and Gladion burn (by which I mean sunburns, not the status condition) extremely easily due to their incredibly fair skin, which is ironic given where they live.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was actually right, since that actually happens to me.

WOuld explain why Lusamine and Gladion where clothing with as much skin covering as possible (Except for arms in Lusamine's case). Lillie's going to have some problem with her Z-Powered outfit.

While heavily hinted, this is never explicitly stated, so I'm counting this as a personal head canon:

Oleana was once a poor street child, whose only friend was a Trubbish. Rose found her and took her under his wing, saving her from poverty. As such, Oleana is extremely grateful, loyal, and protective of Rose even to this day. And despite her new, luxurious lifestyle, she hasn't forgotten her roots and the Trubbish that was by her side during those hard times, which is why she still keeps it in her team, despite now having access to more beautiful and feminine Pokémon.

Whenever a "wild Pokemon appears", it's usually not actually aggresive towards player - it's the PC that asks it for a training fight. Why else would swarms of supposedly docile or even cowardly Pokemon like Caterpie or Sentret attack you every few steps, why would it attack your Pokemon and not you directly, why can you always easily escape once all your Pokemon are defeated, and why NPCs can apparently walk through tall grass without any problem?

The Canalave Library in Sinnoh actually provides an in-game explanation for this:

"Long ago, when Sinnoh had just been made, Pokémon and humans led separate lives. That is not to say they did not help each other. No, indeed they did. They supplied each other with goods, and supported each other. A Pokémon proposed to the others to always be ready to help humans. It asked that Pokémon be ready to appear before humans always. Thus, to this day, Pokémon appear to us if we venture into tall grass."

Well, the indication in games like Diamond & Pearl or Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon is that wild Pokémon attacks are why it is so strongly advised to travel with your own Pokémon - because the wild Pokémon would attack you if you were unprotected. And overall, I don't think we really see that many NPCs who aren't fellow Trainers walking through tall grass.
