What are your game headcanons?

I've always had this stupid headcanon where I think Agatha, Karen, Glacia and Bertha are all related somehow. Like Glacia and Karen are cousins and Bertha and Agatha are their respective grandmothers or whatever. It's a silly headcanon...but it's one that I can't shake since forever.

Speaking of Karen, I've always thought she was an ex-Beauty due to her original sprite looking similar to to the R/B/Y Beauty sprite. Even her updated look favors the D/P/Pt Beauty a bit.

I always saw the Agatha/Bertha/Karen theory, but wasn't sure on Glacia. Though the more I think about it, I can kinda see your point. Glacia is said to be a foreigner, and her typing makes her suitable to be from Sinnoh, where Bertha is from.

I always found it odd that we never received an explanation for Agatha's disappearance in Gen 2. Lorelei got one in Gen 3, but not Agatha. My headcanon is that she retired, but gave recommendation for her grandaughter (Karen) to be an E4 member.

Now this one headcanon I had is very left field, but I felt like sharing. The theory involves Lorelei and Misty. In the anime ( I know anime evidence is sketchy), Misty's sisters are all named after flowers in both the English and Japanese versions. Even though Misty's name does not follow this pattern, one meaning for her Japanese name is a type of flowering plant. Lorelei's Japanese name can also be translated as a type of lily. It is said that Misty has aspirations to be similar to Lorelei (probably inspired by the anime). My farfetched theory is that Lorelei is a relative of Misty.

Ever since the first pair of remakes, FireRed and LeafGreen, were released to the public, it has been believed by many that the original games are no longer considered canonical.

Others believe the reverse—that the originals override remakes any day.

But what if this isn't the case? What if all the games, originals and remakes included, are perfectly canon?

Remember that back in Generation II, Bill managed to master time travel by inventing the Time Capsule. This device allowed then-present-day trainers to trade their Pokémon to the past, and trainers from the past were able to trade to what they considered to be the future.

A generation later, in FireRed and LeafGreen, Bill introduced players to the Sevii Islands, a place not seen in Generation I. However, if the player decided not to go with Bill the first time he asked, then he waited at the Cinnabar Island Pokémon Center...and at his cottage at Cerulean Cape. At the same time.

As far as I know, if spoken to at his cottage, he remains blissfully unaware of his appointment with Celio.

Some would dismiss this as nothing more than a continuity error or programming oversight. But what if it isn't? What if the Bill at the Cinnabar Pokémon Center is actually Bill from the future, having stuffed himself into his Time Capsule and traveled back three years to introduce the Generation II and III Pokémon to the world, long before they're even discovered?

This does raise an issue, however—as the Time Capsule is not present in HeartGold and SoulSilver, had Bill traveled to the past, he would have become trapped there since neither he nor his younger self bothered to invent time travel.

Then again, if Bill were to encounter and befriend a Pokémon with power over time—such as Celebi or Dialga—he wouldn't have to invent artificial time travel in order to return to his own time. Considering that Celebi will take just about anyone who is pure of heart under its wing, this isn't unlikely. And, yes, even though he mucked around with time itself, Bill can still be considered pure of heart since he had nothing but good, scientific intentions in mind.

Using this hypothesis, it can be determined that the original games did happen—Bill just later went back and changed the timeline for the benefit of the scientific community, allowing esteemed Professors like Oak and Birch to catalogue more Pokémon in a shorter amount of time.

On an unrelated note, this also allows Bill—and possibly other characters as well—to witness alternative timelines. For example, if Leaf were born instead of Red, or if Gold had chosen Totodile instead of Cyndaquil, or if all of the protagonists and rivals had different names entirely, thus making all decisions made by the player canonical as well.

In Emerlad, the Mossdeep Space Center is about to launch a H-IIA/B Rocket.

Notice how both rockets have short, stubby boosters on the sides, and like the H-IIB, the Mossdeep rocket has a slightly thinner upper stage (the section with the "window", and on the real H-IIB, the black section.)
The real H-IIA rocket has been used to launch probes to Venus and the Moon. If the MSC rocket is indeed is a H-IIB, then it is very likely Hoenn has satellites in orbit around the Pokemon world counterparts of the Moon and Venus, which would mean the Pokemon World is a has space technology equal to our own . Though I have no idea why the rocket is never launched, or maybe they quickly launch it, and wheel a new one from the VAB when your not there.

EDIT: The rocket on the card has 4 shortish boosters and a long fairing (nosecone) like the H-IIB

The ruins of alph are the remains of a religion that worshiped Arceus. Arceus is the Alpha pokemon it is called the Ruins of Alph. It's backed by science.

After Black and White the main character went to Hoenn, I don't know why.

The war that took place in old Unova is the reason Regigigas moved the contains, to get them away from the destruction.

The people that run the Kanto gyms recently lifted a ban similar to CanCon (requires a certain amount of canadian content on tv), which is why previously the gym leaders could only use Kanto pokemon, but now they have other pokemon like Quagsire, Gallade, and Camerupt.

So we have this as word of god:

We think of it as a place that is really similar to Earth, but is a different planet of its own with people in it who may be similar to people on Earth, but they have different values so they care about different things. It's the type of place, the Pokémon world, where problems we face on Earth just wouldn't happen. There wouldn't be global warming, water shortages, or anything like that. It's a world where the people in it really want to work together with each other. Their value system is such where they would prefer to work together and eliminate these problems rather than feud.

I'd like to think that it's because of Pokemon that this is possible- that by learning to get along with hundreds of different species of varying sentience levels and mindsets that humans got better at dealing with each other in general.

True, but dex entries also say a lot of stuff that clearly shouldn't be taken seriously and are nothing but myths/lore. Yamask and Abra being human souls/boys turned in Pokémon, Alakazam having a Q.I of 5000 or Banette being an abandoned doll that came to life (yet it evolves from another Pokémon) are some examples. Other entries even contradict some of the Pokémon designs or abilities.

Everybody probably knew this already but I just found out that there is an actual REASON for all that Magikarp splashing. Mind Blown!!! Talking to a dude on FB, I was told that the more Magikarp uses Splash, the higher the attack for Gyarados later on. Whaaaat!?! Shocked.

True, but dex entries also say a lot of stuff that clearly shouldn't be taken seriously and are nothing but myths/lore. Those could all reasonably be true.
-There is just a Shuppet/Banette spirit whose ultimate goal is to possess a doll, but it must first learn to possess a tissue and gain power.
-Yamask and Abra's evolution lines could be the human afterlife. If you are of extraordinary intelligence, you are reborn as an Abra, and everyone else simply becomes a Yamask that endlessly wanders the halls of mausoleums. Kind of depressing, lol.
-Alakazam IS just that smart but they do not share their intelligence with humans because some kind of afterlife agreement with Giratina prohibits them from doing so.

On the subject of Pokemon species themselves, I think the black markings on Buizel and Floatzel's cheeks are gills that enable underwater breathing, making them amphibious mammals. I also think female Mienshao's are more viscous than male ones.

I also believe that we are only seeing the Pokemon world through the perspective of a trainer, and outside of that the Pokemon world is just like the real world, just with superpowered animals, after all, have you noticed that in the games and anime almost every single aspect of life is Pokemon oriented in some way, that bothers me so I like portraying the world more like the real world.

My own head cannon:
- Butterfree and Venomoth were once one species but split over time.
- The measurements in the Pokedex are just the average for that species.
- Gastly is a dead Cloyster. The gas comes from Cloyster's shell, which contains an odd chemical that somehow becomes a gas when its host has died.
- This is also why a Cloyster who smashes its shell becomes so deadly.
- Cubone are the children of dead Kangaskhan.
- Related, Kangaskhan are hunted for their rare scales and are thus an endangered species. The children aren't worth much so are often left behind by the poachers. As a consequence, many baby Kangaskhan never develop normally and instead become Cubone.
- The Arceus you can obtain is not its actual form but a weaker avatar. The actual Arceus does indeed have 1000 arms. Humans cannot comprehend it's true form.

I thought you meant at all, not actually killing Pokemon to eat

But there must be a demanding market for it if Team Rocket decided to steal so many tails.

Nah, didn't you read my logical fan wank? Baby Kangaskhan don't develop normally without their mother and become different species altogether. Marowak give birth to Cubone though. No one has just sighted a Cubone without a mask because mutated Pokemon don't live very long and coupled with the childbirth, Marowak mothers tend to die shortly.
