will the color be based on the Noble pokémon they represent, or the clan they are part of (Diamond/Pearl) or based on pokémon they have(assuming that they have any)?
Lian, for exemple, is using Bug- and Rock-type colors from Kleavor, but Mai, on other hand, uses only Normal-Type color, even though Wyrdeer is also Psychic-type.

Gym leaders have the colours of their type.
Champions have colours that represent their costume because they use Pokémon of all sorts of types.
Elite 4 members are also themed on one type, and have the colour of the type despite some designs not using that colour (see Marshal).

So I think it should be the colour of the noble Pokémon rather than based on any type.

Trainers from the evil teams use the colour of their evil team rather than the types of Pokémon, which are generally poison and dark.
Standard trainers use the colour of their type.
Interestingly, burgulars and engineers have a different colour for the frame that represent a secondary typing (poison/fire and steel/electric, respectively).
So now we have the question of using the types of the Pokémon, colours of the Pokémon or colours of the outfit.

I think we should use the colours of the outfit because it’s more personal. Wardens, unlike gym leaders, do not specialise in any type but rather in representing their Pokémon so using the type doesn’t make sense.
