POPULAR: What Did You Write Today?

Wrote the next chapter of Dawn of Courage this morning ("Song of the Sea Witch Siren").

The party makes it to the next village and learn that the nearby lake, which is home to one of the few freshwater Ningyo Clans, is in trouble. Queen Marnie has been hit with a curse that is slowly crystalizing her and only a singing voice that's equal or superior to hers can break it. Unfortunately, she's the best singer in the entire area so options are scarce. Nina volunteers to try, as she's got a golden singing voice herself. So she becomes the Sea Witch Siren Shaman form to swim down to the bottom of the large lake to try to cure Queen Marnie. Angelo tags along in his giant frog form in case Nina gets into trouble. Nina is successfully able to cure Queen Marnie and is rewarded with a Coral Flute. However, on the return trip to the surface Nina's Shaman form time limit expires, forcing Angelo to effectively eat her to prevent her from drowning, much to her restrained displeasure and begrudging gratitude. The duo return to the surface safely where Nina reveals she is the only member of her clan that can swim due to the special properties of her Magic Fire Feathers preventing her wings from getting heavy when wet. King Submari and several of his subjects thank the party and inform them of how Queen Marnie got cursed: a new Undead Captain named Captain Aquamarrow did it to her, who is apparently an aquatic Undead Captain. Nova deduces that it's another special soul-powered Undead Captain with the Water element attached to him, suggesting this Undead Captain is one of Muu's more recent counters to the party's Shaman forms, along with a replacement for Boneacuda. The party agrees to stick around to deal with Aquamarrow before he repeats the process all over again. The next chapter, "Washed Out", features said battle with Aquamarrow.

- Memory of a Ghoul: More progress, better by my standards, I don't think finishing chapter 3 and wouldn't say so since I need to change up the last scene to add in something that was removed otherwise. Was partially interrupted when someone from TV was in the area, got to meet them though so that was an opportunity I took.

Did double duty this morning. Wrote the next chapter of Dawn of Courage ("Washed Out") and created a new Shaman form because I realized no one had a Lightning element form.

First, the chapter. It starts where the last chapter left off, with the party waiting for Captain Aquamarrow to appear. He soon does, allowing them to defend the village and Ningyo Clan lake. Nina, Kettu, and Van don their Nymph Wing, Shadow Fox, and Guardian of Edyn Shaman forms, respectively, to gain an elemental advantage over the Water element Undead Captain. Nina is able to use Sleep Spores to put him to sleep for a bit, allowing some easy hits before the Undead Captain comes to his senses. After Van uses Poison Ivy to block an attack Kettu uses Carnivines Chaos to start ripping the Undead Captain apart, with Nina delivering the killing blow with Forbidden Temptation, freeing the trapped soul. The soul is revealed to be Queen Maria's older twin sister, Maylu, who thanks the party for saving her and promises to let her sister know she's been freed before leaving. The Ningyo Clan thanks the party for everything they've done before the party returns to the village to rest. The next chapter, "Cain's Chaotic Comeback", features the titular character making another attempt to impress Nina (told you we weren't done with him yet).

Secondly, as stated earlier I created another Shaman form that uses the Lightning element, since I hadn't created one yet. As always Nina gets it due to her great compatibility with Shaman magic. Her newest form is the Storm Swordwing, a combo of Lightning, Wind, and Light. Some of its abilities include Thunder Bolos, Lightning Cannon, and Feather Sword Missiles, while some of her special traits are being immune to Genox Gas, immune to paralysis and sleep, and gaining more power in overcast and/or rainstorms.

Today I wrote 90 words for my Pokemon fic and 300 words for a writing prompt I found on Pinterest. Honestly not sure if I'll continue with the writing prompt, I chose it just so I could write something, but I'm really not feeling all that inspired by it.
What's your fic about? I want to check it out

What's your fic about? I want to check it out
Thank you for your interest, but the fic isn't posted anywhere, and I'm not sure if I will be posting it in the future. It's a series of one-shots about a group of Pokemon researchers exploring a region not inhabited by humans.

Wrote the next chapter of Dawn of Courage this evening ("Cain's Chaotic Comeback"). I only intended to start it tonight, especially since there was a fast-moving storm hitting my area, but I just kept going until it was finished.

Anyway, the party makes it to the next town, which is a major traders town. They decide to do some business in hopes of getting new weapons and items. Nova also decides to market some of his magical accessories and they prove to be quite popular, especially the ones that turn one-use items into multi-use items, something that no one else has ever done before. After selling a sizable chunk of his inventory the party goes to the inn for the night. However, Cain shows up later that night, intending to prove his worth to the party. The next day at breakfast Nova detects Cain, which deeply annoys the party, knowing it's time for another cockfight. They venture outside and confront Cain, who "properly" introduces himself, as the party didn't know his name yet. He tries to convince Nina to ditch Nova in favor of him to no avail. He even reveals he has a familiar now: a Demon Weasel named Quickstrike, boasting his familiar is better than Nova's. Nova introduces Cain to Elora, his Gorgon Viper, which takes a lot of wind out of his sails, who even scares off Quickstrike with just a roar. She then roasts him, literally, before the party tells Cain off and moves on. Cain swears to prove his worth. The next chapter, "Interference and Improvising", features Cain getting in the party's way. Again.

184 words today, and a couple tweaks - one of which I forgot about until yesterday morning and noted, but forgot to write in yesterday. I think a trick I found is actually helping me write, since it's been at least a couple days since I've been trying it out, which is to leave off mid-sentence so that it's easier to pick back up when returning to it; I learned it from this tweet.

Did double duty again. I wrote the next chapter of Dawn of Courage this morning ("Interference and Improvising") along with modifying the Edyn Monster List with two new family of monsters, as they debut in this chapter.

The party is making its way toward the kingdom's capital. However, they are requested by some traveling merchants to act as escorts through Crescent Moon Woods, as the monster attacks in there have increased in frequency, which the party agrees. They soon encounter Iron Shellers, which are armadillo-like monsters covered in iron shells (and one of the new breeds created). Before the party can fight Cain jumps in so he can impress Nina. He fails and ends up roadkill when the Iron Shellers run him over, forcing the party to save him and kill the monsters, collecting the more valuable parts in the process. They soon run into a colony of Black Honey Bombers (another new monster breed, and think of them as similar to Vespequen) that are napping and hope to get a preemptive attack on them. However, Cain reappears and awakens the insect monsters, causing them to attack him with their explosive drone attack. Nova uses Missile Strike (Fire Shot + Wind Cutter Shot) to kill them, allowing the party to collect their wings and honeycomb lower bodies, as the Black Honey they produce can make Black Honey Elixirs, which are more powerful than regular Honey Elixirs. Nova also gives the unconscious Cain a jar of Honey Elixir to heal his wounds when he comes to, as he admits while he doesn't like Cain he doesn't want him dead. The party soon encounter various Nut monsters, which are the lasts obstacle for them to face, but Nina easily dispatches them with a single Typhoon spell. They complete their task in escorting the merchants through the woods, getting rewarded with a pouch of Elemental Coins and a pouch of Fairy Almonds before moving on. It's revealed that Cain has come to his senses and is eating the Honey Elixir to heal his wounds, knowing exactly who gave it to him and swearing revenge. The next chapter, "The Dark Lust of Lilith Wing", features the titular Shaman form debut.

Banged my head against my laptop trying to make words happen today but they just weren't happening so I skimmed through my old ideas, found one I could revise, and revised it a little bit until I rediscovered the problem I was having with it before where I couldn't decide on MC's background. Once more, I am stuck on that and still have no idea what direction I want to take them.

- Memory of a Ghoul: Finished up C6 for the most part and jumped into C7, adding on a little bit to the end where Prema converses with Priestess Satomi to make a different ending to that chapter than what I thought at first since it was meh. I started on the middle scene of the chapter just now too in addition to some dialogue earlier, but got distracted by gacha news. Once I finish C7, I'll swing over to editing Blade of the Blackout Killer and writing up to its climax whatever I decide it might be; C8 is where this fic's happens and it's set.

Wrote the next chapter of Dawn of Courage today ("The Dark Lust of Lilith Wing"). I had started it yesterday but my energy tanked not long after so I finished it this morning.

Anyway, the party has made it to Gordak Kingdom's capital, where they learn that General Galvinspine has been terrorizing it. The city has endured his attacks thanks to their barriers but the barrier can't hold out forever, so they are recruited by King Rand to deal with Galvinspine. After mapping out a plan to exploit his strange weakness to the Dark element they soon face him and his large Undead Army platoon. Sir Reginald, Kettu, and Van become the Terra Dark Knight, Fox Fyre, and Galactic Pegasus, respectively, to fight Galvinspine. Nina in a spur of the moment decides to try out a new Shaman form, becoming Lilith Wing, a Dark and Wind form. She proceeds to single-handedly wipe out the entire Undead Army platoon before tackling Galvinspine alongside her Shamanized allies, dealing the killing blow in the process. She then proceeds to try to seduce and have sex with Nova right then and there, forcing him to forcefully cancel her Shaman form with the Demon King Ring's magic. Nina reveals she cannot control her lust and love for Nova in that form, going full-tilt seductress, wondering why she's so strongly affected by her Shaman forms. The party returns to the castle to report their success. The next chapter, "The Night Market", features the titular location in action.
