With that massive reveal yesterday of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, I have been itching to write something Pokemon. So after struggling to maybe write 100 words for my capstone (final major project for my creative writing major), I took some time to make up a quick idea where I can rite some Pokemon-related one-shots when I felt like it. I ended up writing like a 3000-word piece for that as an intro piece. I wish I could write like that for capstone lol.

118 words yesterday and some tweaking; 605 words today and some tweaking. Will have a lot to fix of some of the dialogue, but obviously not a concern for now. Left off at a partial dialogue because I think I'm too tired to continue.

49 words and some tweaking was about all I could do with having to do other stuff, but I at least ended the day within the story.

Instead of "I'm at home and then later I'm going out on a journey, bye" in three chapters or less, the characters will be pokemon trainers right from the beginning of the story. The foster children started their pokemon journey about a month ago while the siblings Gwen and Wayne started about two or three months ago. There will be planned storylines will be made in 2-6 chapters.
The foster children will come home to celebrate something special with their parents.
Some new and old captured pokemon have trouble getting along.
Gwen, Wayne and the old female friend (her name will be revealed once I upload the fanfic) will meet the foster children eventually.
Milo, Gloria and Victor will be in it as well. Not sure about the rest though (at least six chapters).

I worked on my short story for my capstone project. I'm focusing a lot on how I'm writing it so I don't have to edit too much later on. It is slow-going though. I did 407 words for it this evening.

Managed to finish the next chapter of Chaos Rising ("For Whom the Gengar Bat Tolls"). This chapter is setting up the soon-to-be Chaos Chimera arc.

Anyway, Alastor reports back to Bronwen about the events from the previous chapter, much to her delight. This means her plan can start moving forward. Meanwhile, the Heroes and their parties are taking it easy, with Celtic crafting more accessories until they know what's coming next. Zuzu detects a threat coming, though she senses it'll be a while before it arrives, putting her party on high alert. That night a Gengar Bat slips into the Spear Hero party's room and plants the "seed" of Bronwen's plan into Wench's head. However, as it tries to escape Zuzu catches it and kills it, but not before it completed its task. She reports back to her party about what had happened. The party is worried that the Gengar Bat planted an idea in Wench's head but they decide that, for now, the best course of action is to alert their allies and have Wench be kept under surveillance to ensure that whatever Bronwen's plan is won't get executed. The next chapter, "Full Frontal Assault", is sort of a filler-ish, somewhat comedic chapter, focusing more on the "rivalry" between Celtic and Lucas.

Forgive the double post (again) but I managed to get the next chapter of Chaos Rising done ("Full Frontal Assault"). Turned out a bit different than my initial plans, as it was supposed to be fairly comedic throughout, but it ended up being serious at the start and comedic at the end. Oh well.

Anyway, Celtic and his party told their allies about the Gengar Bat from last chapter. Since there is little that anyone can do about it they just decide to keep Wench under surveillance via Shadow Sentinels for now. In the meantime, Celtic and his party are tasked to deal with a Wrath Steel Maiden and her monster minions that have been causing trouble for the villages near Crescent Moon Forest. The monsters cronies consists of Wood Trolls, Bite Porcupines, Faller Bears, and Bronze Egg Soldiers, encountered in that order. After dealing with the monsters the party confronts the Wrath Steel Maiden, the next level in the Wrath Iron Maiden family, and just as intelligent and magic-able as her fellow monsters. First the battle starts out as a war of spells before Skye combines her Quick Hiding with her new Shadow Mana Dagger to completely cut the Wrath Steel Maiden off from her powers. After an Attack buff from Celtic and a double defensive drop from Zuzu and Leon, the former goes in for the kill with Close Combat Combo, ending the fight. However, a Spiria suddenly appears and takes refuge with Celtic, with Lucas and his party appearing, as they were chasing it. The Spiria flatly rejects Lucas and bonds with Celtic instead, causing the Spear Hero to become enraged and attack the Shroud Hero. This is where the comedy comes in. When Celtic uses his Twister arm attachment to try to stop Lucas, Wench uses Fireball and the two attacks accidentally combine, creating a flaming vortex that not only damages Lucas but burns off all his clothes, sans the metal parts. After some snarky remarks about his "cargo" and needing to pretty much spell it out for him does Lucas finally realize what happened. Celtic and Viola use the "exact words" trope to make Lucas some new clothes: a vest and a bikini bottom, much to the Spear Hero's dismay. Celtic makes an offhand remark about his own "cargo" only to realize he said something he shouldn't have said in front of the Sin of Lust-represented member of his party; Skye, which he knows will come back to haunt him, something that she pretty much confirms. They return to Delgunner to report to the guild about their success and get paid for it. The next chapter, "Familiar Familiars", will feature more Spiria scenarios.

Forgive the triple post (that's a new one) but I wrote the next chapter in Chaos Rising today ("Familiar Familiars"). Like the last chapter it ended up getting some changes to it that weren't in my initial plans, but given the fact that my original plans for it weren't much to begin with it probably helped make the chapter more interesting.

Anyway, Celtic and his party are relaxing after their last mission. We're introduced to the Spiria that rejected Lucas and bonded with Celtic: a Fire Spiria named Magma. However, their relaxation is interrupted as Queen Rease and two Druid medics arrive on the scene to extract the Karma Diamond from Skye's womb, as they now know where all the Karma Diamonds are more-or-less and they don't want Skye to become a target for the enemy. The Karma Diamond is successfully extracted from the Light Elf and given to Celtic for safekeeping. The following day the party runs into Ike again, who reveals that he's bonded with a Spiria: a Nature one called Walnut. He and his friends who have helped Celtic in the past all bonded with Spiria when on a mission to escort some Druids to the Light Lighthouse so they could put in the permanent and perfect copy of the Light Gem in place of the replica they used, and ran into a cluster of Spiria along the way that ended up bonding with them. However, he has news to report: Sylph has been spotted in the Krystal Sands Kingdom and the party need to go after her. A Shadow Sentinel takes them to a certain point in the desert near where Sylph is mining for materials so they can get the drop on her. The Shroud Hero party does exactly that but she manages to distract them by summoning several local monsters via the skill Command to attack the party while she flees. The party deals with the monsters before catching up to the Succulite, who is trying to wrestle two Spiria down. Zuzu forces Sylph into an aerial battle, which also allows the Spiria to flee for the time, and managed to trap and impale Sylph on Celtic's Blood Needle Shield ability, though the Succulite remains standing. She tries to flee after using Light Burst to blind everyone but Celtic latches his Yo-Yo attachment onto her sack, creating a tug-of-war that ultimately destroys the sack, forcing Sylph to grab what she could before using a Teleport Crystal to escape. The two Spiria, an Earth Spiria named Sandstone and an Ice Spiria named Iceberg, bond with Tyroe and Skye, respectively, out of gratitude for being rescued. Skye checks out what Sylph was collecting and gives Celtic a Mind Ring that was part of the loot, which will help him resist mental-based attacks like the ones Gengar Bats use better, since he's so vulnerable to it. They report back to King Alvin (and take the rest of the loot for themselves) and introduce the new Spiria to the rest of their batch. The next chapter, "Sibling Showdown", will feature a showdown between two siblings that hate each other with every fiber of their being in an attempt to recover the other side's Karma Diamonds.

Was too tired to write yesterday, and kinda slogged through today's 402 words. Left off before what's probably the last piece of large (ish?) dialogue for the act, since I prefer having what's being discussed with me to reference, even though I have my original thoughts on my first read. Feels a little unreal of how close I am to the end of the act, but as I said quite some time ago, I'll be able to finally go back and work on Aerosteel and Uncoloured.

Wrote another 462 words for the second part of my graduation project. I just have two scenes to go and I'm a little over the halfway point page-wise. Not sure if I should try and force out another scene tonight or just get the last two done on Monday.

Also, I've slowly been falling in love with the character I'm writing from the perspective of. He's just trying to help his brother, and he's just so tired, and all he wants to do is snuggle in his boyfriend's arms and forget about the world. I love him so much.

Wrote the next chapter in Chaos Rising today ("Sibling Showdown"). As per usual with me, I started it late yesterday but finished it this morning.

Anyway, the Shroud Hero party is taking it easy after their semi-victory over Sylph. However, Ike runs up to them and gives Leon a message from Robert, challenging him to duel to the death at the battleground where they fought the High Priest for the right to claim the other side's Karma Diamond(s). The group knows it won't be that simple but they go ahead with it, bringing Shadow Sentinels under the guise of Cloak as back-up to ensure Robert doesn't pull anything. Robert cages himself and Leon in a Lightning Cage but before the battle can begin his very rare Light Spiria betrays him and bonds with Leon instead, much to his fury. The battle begins proper and Leon proves to be the superior fighter, as he managed to avoid taking pretty much any damage while forcing Robert on the backfoot with a barrage of spells and skills. Leon ultimately prevails and Skye uses Quick Hiding and her Shadow Mana Dagger to strike Robert and prevent him from using Teleport, while also stealing his backpack. However, Robert had a Teleport Crystal on his person and used it to escape, much to everyone's fury. Skye finds out that Robert didn't have the Karma Diamond in the backpack, either indicating he hid it somewhere or put it in a pocket or pouch on his person, though the party expected as much. They return to Delgunner while Robert is revealed to have hidden the Karma Diamond in a secret location and retrieves it. The next chapter, "Gram's Return", features the, well, return of Gram and his party.

976 words. Dialogue was fairly easy, but kinda trudged through the rest of it. Was hoping to finish today, but I think it'd be better if tomorrow I pick it back up for the last couple sentences instead of trying to force them out today.

1177 words today. I took a break from pulling my hair out over my graduation project and did the first 5 pages for my script. It's my first time writing from the point of view of an old person so it's pretty interesting.

Finished the next chapter of Chaos Rising today ("Gram's Return"). It's a set-up chapter for the next event.

Anyway, Celtic and his party are taking it easy for the time. Leon is still a bit upset about what had happened in the fight with his half-brother Robert but the others help cheer him up about the whole ordeal. Then Gram and his party appear, having been summoned by King Alvin, but they look like they've been through the mill. Apparently they had a run-in with a Wrath Iron Maiden and nearly met their deaths, with Gram being forced to use his Zenithton Blade to kill it in order to get out of the ordeal alive. Viola and Leon patch him and his party up while Celtic gives him a Guard Barrier Charm for free because they're friends, to which Gram is very grateful for. Not long after the party is summoned to King Alvin's throne room to learn why Gram was summoned to Delgunner. King Alvin is still not entirely too happy with the other Heroes and their constant adherence to RPG tropes and such, thus he wants to hold a training duel for each of them in order to prove that they need training. Gram will face against Ryan, Skye will duel Lucas, and Leon will fight Jerry, with Eric getting an unknown opponent who has yet to appear. The duel won't allow any Hero skills or spells to be used, making it a duel of pure skill with their weapons. If the Heroes win they are exempt from training, but if they lose it's boot camp time. Celtic is excused from the event due to the fact he not only actually trains with the Delgunner knights on and off, but given the fact his "weapon class" is the Shroud means he doesn't have anyone else with the same "class" as him to duel with. King Alvin hopes that this event will open the Heroes' eyes and get them to train seriously, as they've been doing the bare minimum of their duty as Heroes, though Ryan at least tries to live up to his title. Skye and Leon agree to the idea while Gram is very willing to help, especially since his faith in the Heroes outside of Celtic has taken several hits over time. The next chapter, "Getting Schooled in the Duel", will feature the training duel event. Will it be just what the other Heroes need to break these bad habits and actually become real Heroes?

Forgive the double post (once again), but I managed to finish the next chapter of Chaos Rising ("Getting Schooled in the Duel").

King Alvin gathers the Heroes to begin the training duels. Ryan faces off against Gram first. Gram pretty much owns him, with Ryan, out of desperation and panic at the thought of losing, using a Hero skill to try to win, even though it was against the rules. He still lost to Gram. Skye and Lucas are up next. Lucas makes the fatal mistake by talking down to Skye, showing that he feels women cannot truly fight, especially against a man, and showing he sees women as prizes to be won, setting off Skye into a blind rage and mercilessly pounds him to a pulp. Needless to say Lucas lost the duel in a stunning fashion. Next up is Eric against Bunyan from the Gorgodos Kingdom. His duel is even shorter than Lucas', getting batted out of the dueling field twice with ease before ultimately losing. Finally it's Leon against Jerry. Jerry uses a Hero skill in order to cripple Leon by inflicting the Blind status ailment, but Leon simply uses his aura senses to effortlessly barrage the Bow Hero, winning the duel despite being blinded. This would cause the seed of jealousy that had been planted in the Bow Hero's head to start growing into the one-sided rivalry he has with Leon. King Alvin is not pleased, to put it simply. He orders all the Heroes, Celtic included, to start training tomorrow after breakfast. The other Heroes are not happy, while Celtic takes it with a shrug, as he remembered the Calamadon Demon incident, knowing that the Heroes, himself included, need all the training and help they can get if they want to survive the war. The next chapter, "Training Daze" (yes, I know, a very original title), will start the Heroes' training.
